Long outdated at the time of this review the annual Chapter Approved was a great idea by Games Workshop to support their Warhammer 40,000 tabletop game. Each of these books were a compilation of official and trial rules from the past year's White Dwarf magazines. Some of the highlights from this particular Chapter Approved include rules to field a Feral Ork army (which I had the pleasure of facing in a local tournament- the player I faced even had custom-made pre-Forgeworld Squiggoths), a Kroot Mercenary army (I love Kroot and I built one of these and took it to compete in one of GW's Grand Tournaments in 2003), the original Deathwatch kill-team rules, the first rules to field a Dark Angels Master of the Ravenwing on a combat bike (Sammael and his hover bike didn't even exist during this time), the original rules for the Death Corps of Kreig, the Elysian Drop Troopers and rules for all Space Marine Chapters to include an Emperor's Champion like the Black Templars. Ah, these were good times.
