USA Today and Amazon best-selling author Anna Lowe loves putting the "hero" back into heroine and letting location ignite a passionate romance. She likes a heroine who is independent, intelligent, and imperfect — a woman who's doing just fine on her own. But give the heroine a good man (not to mention a chance to overcome her own inhibitions) and she'll never turn down the chance for adventure, nor shy away from danger.

On any given weekend, you might find her hiking in the mountains or hunched over her laptop, working on her latest story. Either way, the day will end with a chunk of dark chocolate and a good read.

Short but enjoyable.
Good suspense and action, and because the hero and heroine had a relationship before, the development of their relationship is believable; the suspense/romance ratio is balanced.
The only minus is that sometimes the sex scenes are a bit too flowery for my liking.
I’m looking forward to reading the other stories in this series.

The storyline for the Serendipity Adventure series is cleverly carried out in the third installment, where an exciting diving trip in the Caribbean turns dangerous when a sinister incident interrupts the fun. Interwoven into the suspenseful plot is a very emotional romance, and the couple involved find themselves fighting to stay alive. I always enjoy a story where threats are all too real while feelings are conflicted, and Anna Lowe certainly delivers on every page of WINDSWEPT.

After the relationship Mia Whitman had with Ryan Hayes ended badly, she is grateful for the opportunity to leave New York City and sail the Caribbean. For a few months, she will be living on a boat that once belonged to her grandfather. With her being an expert scuba diver, she has agreed to assist on excursions for tourists while near the island of Bonaire. What she did not expect is to encounter Ryan on one of the dives, and ignoring him is very difficult. When an unanticipated incident occurs while underwater and has lingering consequences, Ryan is not about to leave Mia alone, regardless of how she feels about him.

With one daring escapade after another, WINDSWEPT kept me captivated with heart-pumping action and no guarantees. Adventures where the outcome is never certain are a favorite, and I feared for Mia and Ryan on numerous occasions. Their experiences were packed with situations that could have deadly after-effects, and Anna Lowe did not make it easy for them at times. Ryan has come to the island to right a wrong, and although his relationship with Mia was only supposed to be short, he proves his hero status by his actions and spoken words. Her responses to their conversations and any confrontations were very genuine, and I was often worried until final decisions were made. The visuals in the book were always colorfully described, and I frequently felt I was right there with the characters. Though part of a series, the book stands alone in every way.

Heck yeah this was a spectacular, blood pumping, heart-catching adventure ride - and exactly the kind of story I crave!

Mixing a good dose of suspense/action with all the emotional feels and the perfect amount of heat, you immediately dive under with Mia and Ryan's relationship and can't stop turning the pages to figure out what happens next, and what was in their history.

And can I just say, if I ever get the opportunity to go on a Caribbean vacation, I so want Ryan to be there with me. Ya know... just in case. And for all the other good stuff. Including yoga poses. ;)

Mia's one of the best kind of heroines out there - strong but sweet and all woman. Ryan is also one of the best kind of heroes out there - protective, determined, and knows how to man-up and apologize. Mia isn't a slacker with recognizing when to forgive and move on either.

While I adore this whole series, I think Mia and Ryan just edge out as favorites... but once I reread the others I might have to change my mind to it being whoever I'm with at the time!

An intense and action packed read filled with suspense and romance at every turn.

Mia, a scuba instructor, is on a temporary job when the man who broke her heart shows up to apologize. She refuses to give him the time of day until she is left with no choice but to team up with him to catch the men trying to kill her.

Ryan came to Bonaire to apologize to Mia and try to win back her affection. He shows up just in time to save her from hired goons intent on killing her after she witnesses something she wasn't supposed to see.

Can Mia forgive and trust Ryan to keep her safe? Will he convince her that he is sincere in his apology? And can they outrun and outsmart the criminals after them?

Another gripping and sensational book by Ms Lowe. She has a way with words that draws you in and keeps you enthralled throughout the book.

Absolutely wonderful!

An enjoyable read.
This is not the type of book I normally read from this author but it was lovely to transport myself away to a tropical island for a little while.
Kyle started off on the island as a bet from his family that he could not slow down and be without electronics for two weeks.
Boy did he win the bet in the best possible way and his winnings were special.
Hannah is a teacher but was planning to crew around the pacific for two years in memory of her friend.
These two seemed to have nothing in common to start but soon found an even keel, some maturity and balance to their lives and a great HEA.
Loved the Epilogue.

This book is one of those hidden gems in my opinion. I was expecting a book where they see each other and hit it off right away. With a great deal of hot steamy sexy times. That the hero was into having control. Well, he is but not the way I thought. What I got was something more. They have great chemistry and attraction.

He Came To Apologize

This is a entertaining hot read about being careful about the things we say or allow to be said. But thank goodness he came to try to set things right because he's saved her life. Enjoy I did.

I enjoyed this book. The characters were likable, and I loved Mia and Ryan together. It was lighthearted and easy to read, but there was a lot of action to keep the reader hooked. But, it's exactly that action that has drawn all my criticism. There's a lot of holes in the plot, and I couldn't suspend my disbelief.

**SPOILERS**
Mia is a dive instructor in Bonaire, going out with a handful of other divers, clients and other divemasters alike. Her ex-lover Ryan is there, and so is a foreigner, Stanely, who loves to film everything with his camera. So they dive hundreds of meters below sea level and Mia spots a man she thinks is a lost client. Only when she chases after him, he's not anyone she recognizes. So it seems to me this man should just shrug her off and swim away. If he is up to something nefarious, why would he want to draw attention to himself? Instead he pulls out his dive knife, cuts her air hose, and swims away.

When Mia and Ryan make it to the surface, the environmental ship Neptune's Revenge explodes. They immediately suspect the lone diver. Why? He was literally hundreds of meters below sea level, at legitimately dangerous levels. Why would he dive so far to plant a bomb? Wouldn't he want to be right under the ship? Or even plant it on the ship? I don't even understand why he would dive so far below so level. What was he doing? It's never explained.

Mia and Ryan then become suspects to the exploding ship. The police say it's because they were "diving in the immediate vicinity" of Neptune's Revenge. But so were all the other divers. Why would they be the only 2 suspects?

Mia repeats over and over that there was no way she could identify the lone diver because of mask, regulator, and all his other diving equipment. So someone, presumably the lone diver, chases after Mia in the evening and tries to run her over with a speedboat. But why? She can't recognize him. Mia suggests the only way he recognized her was because of her bright pink and purple wetsuit. How does he recognize her without it? Why wouldn't this guy just lay low? She doesn't even know if the lone diver planted the bomb! This is all speculation (and will remain speculation).

Mia and Ryan decide to break into Stanley's room to review his video footage to see if he captured anything of importance. But the criminal also thinks of this. How? Stanley is some random foreign dude with a personal video camera. Who is this criminal that is somehow aware of all the foreign divers, and knows one of them has a video camera that may have captured information, and can track this random foreigner to his hotel room? I don't know either...

The criminals continue to follow Mia and Ryan, continue trying to kill them, and at one point literally try to fly a helicopter into their moped. A freakin' helicopter!! Well, they run right to police headquarters and one of the divemasters is Dutch secret service. Mia and Ryan are rescued, but we never learn anything about the criminals. We never learn anything about the motive behind the crime. We don't even know if the lone diver was the criminal. It is all just speculation. The police, I guess, wrap everything up all nicely.

All my other criticisms of Mia and Ryan's personal life are nothing compared to giant plot holes mentioned before. Despite all the ridiculousness of the plot, I enjoyed this book more than I care to admit. I liked Ryan and Mia's relationship. I liked the premise and idea of the book. And so, despite a lot of raised eyebrows and blatant disbelief, I gave the book 3 stars.

Mia nodded. She might not have covered a lot of ground on Serendipity yet, but she and her sister were off to a good start. Three months was plenty of time to explore the islands, live a few adventures, and soak in the sun. Plenty of time to forget Mister Tall, Dark, and Hunksome, who’d turned out to be a real jerk.

She was a doctor and loved to sail her sloop. He was a crewman on a very wealthy man’s yacht. There was a drive by shooting and she saved the wealthy man’s life so he invited her to dinner While at dinner he was away on a boat matter and his phone kept ringing and finally she accidentally answered and it was a cartel member telling about a big drug drop. Her host came back and found out about the phone call and she was locked in a room.

Mia is brokenhearted and feeling humiliated after overhearing a conversation between her boyfriend Ryan's dive squad. Which brings up another hurtful aspect from their relationship. She didn't know Ryan was a member of the NYPD dive squad. After four glorious weeks together, she feels she truly didn't know him at all and hearing what his teammates said about Ryan's girlfriend, not knowing Mia was nearby and the refresher course diving instructor that day, brought up some painful memories for Mia and she thought it was essentially happening again. Add in the fact that Ryan didn't immediately defend her...and yeah, you've got one giant, painful situation. Of course. Ryan didn't know about her history until after this fact, and once he did, her reaction made complete sense.

Ryan, after giving her some space, goes to visit her to give the apology he should've given then. But, Mia is gone and he doesn't know where to find her. Thankfully, he finally tracks her down, but unfortunately literally ambushes her as she wasn't expecting him to be part of the diving group she was working with. Anyone sensing a pattern with Ryan? Men. Pfft.

In between running for their lives after Mia inadvertently witnesses something she shouldn't have and Ryan trying to prove his love and how sorry he truly is, things are obviously crazy tense.

Mia is a forgiving soul and truly loves Ryan though, so she understands that his teammates were blowing off steam after losing two members the month before and that while Ryan didn't stop the "locker room talk," he also didn't contribute anything to it either. Small comfort, but it does soften the pain somewhat.

After the mystery is solved and the bad guys taken care of, Ryan gives such a heartfelt apology that any lingering hesitation is completely wiped away. I'm not going to spoil that surprise because it was pretty epic. Well played, Ryan, well played.

This is a great continuation of the series and a beautiful story of having a second chance with the love of your life.

This is the third book in the Serendipity Adventure Romance series. This is a great standalone series if you're not familiar with it.

This book is full of adventure and second chances! It starts off with Mia, the strong female in this book as a scuba instructor in Bonaire. She's leading a group of divers out on a boat and they begin introducing themselves. When they reach the last person, who seems to be brooding and hiding throughout the introductions, she realizes it's Ryan. He's an ex-Navy Seal and New York City cop. They had an intense fling before she left for Bonaire and split on bad terms. At this point, we don't really know what exactly cause these problems just that they split on bad terms.

They get partnered together on the dive and everyone enters the water. Before you know it, Mia sees someone head off from the group and takes off after them. What she doesn't realize is that person isn't part of the group. When she catches up to them, a fight underwater ensues and her breathing line is cut. She tries to regain her composure and begin her ascent to the top when Ryan appears to help her. Together they must share oxygen and slowly begin their ascent or die.

Mia is still attracted to Ryan but fighting every minute of the attraction, never forgetting what he did to her in NY. He's here to win her back. Ryan rescuing her underwater is only the beginning of their adventures. This book had me on the edge of my seat. Every time I thought they survived, something else happened. You could also feel the chemistry still there between the two of them. It was truly a joy to watch them conquer their battles and I loved his heartfelt apology. How could you not forgive him with that apology! I kept wanting more and didn't want the book to end!

I have enjoyed all the books in this series so far and I loved all the adventure in this one. If you love adventures and second chances, you'll definitely want to read. You won't be disappointed!

I WAS GIVEN THIS BOOK FOR AN HONEST REVIEW AND THIS IS MY HONEST OPINION ....
This is the third of this series of cousins , who inherit the Serendipity a 32 ft sailboat. First the two guys had their adventures and girls they meet. Now in this one the girls are sailing,Mia Whitman has sailed to Bonaire in the southern Caribbean islands, the perfect place for a scuba/dive instructor. She feels she needs to forget Ryan Hayes who broke her heart just before she left on this sailing trip with her sister Meredith. On the first dive trip after this starts her boss tells her to introduce everyone, she is fine till the late comer who is Ryan Hayes, ex Navy Seal turn New York City cop dive team. Now though seeing something she shouldn't underwater, they tried to make sure she never came up (160 ft down) and none of her group near. But as her assigned buddy Ryan , though to far to stop it saw her trouble, Could he get to her and get them that for on just his partial tank of air? After all from 160 ft. you need a control rise to the top or you will be in a life and death situation . Then the bad guy knows she seen him but not what he did. Will he think he solved the problem? Will he try something else? I loved this story, I both laugh and cried in parts. And was very happy Mia learn to trust again. Ryan's wonderful ideal(even before he left NYC)way of apologizing.

Windswept by Anna Lowe

Scuba instructor, Mia Whitman travelled to along way to Bonaire to forget the man who broke her heart. She's worked hard to get past it and move on. Mia is out on a dive with her boss and clients when a newcomer arrives. When introducing everyone, she's shocked to find the new guy is actually the last person she ever expects to see again, the person who ripped out her heart.

New York cop, Ryan Hayes humiliated and hurt the one woman who meant something to him. When she disappears, he decides he needs to find her. He has to apologise and explain that he never meant to cause her pain and anger.

But things don't always run according to plan, add in more than a few attempted apologies and a couple of bad guys, you get all sorts of chaos!

This book was absolutely awesome, I loved it from start to finish. I really like this authors style of writing, it's relaxed, expressive and descriptive. This story had action, romance and it was very entertaining. The characters were very likable and they had great chemistry. I loved their relationship, they were a good match for each other. This book was very enjoyable and I loved it. It's my favourite of the series. Looking forward to the next book!

This has been a fun series. The cousins we have been introduced to in the three books so far are traveling on their grandfather's boat and exploring new cultures. Their pasts aren't left behind in several cases and they encounter old loves.

Mia and her sister are enjoying their time on the boat. Mia doesn't expect her ex to show up on a dive. Ryan is a ex-Seal and a police officer and they had a bad ending to their time together. Ryan realizes he made a big mistake and wants another chance with Mia. Unfortunately, Mia ends up in quite a bit of danger and that takes precedence.

I enjoy reading stories where couples get a second chance at love. This series has featured two couples getting that chance so far and one getting a new love. It is a great series for those who like romantic suspense stories. The islands and countries they visit are beautiful but also have a dangerous side to them. The danger draws the couples together and increases the intensity of the story. The romance and the adventure keep the story moving fast and keep you interested to the very end. You do not need to read the other books to fully enjoy this story but I do recommend them as well.

Windswept, Serendipity Adventure Romance, Book 3, by Anna Lowe. A standalone with an HEA.
This latest book in the Serendipity series is in my opinion the best in series to date. It is set in the small southern Caribbean island of Bonaire, known for it's pristine water and premier scuba diving. Mia Whitman and her sister, Melanie, are taking their turn sailing Serendipity, the 32' sailboat left to them and their cousins by their grandfather so they could 'reconnect'. Mia has taken a temporary job as a scuba instructor on the island and is shocked when one of the divers on the excursion is her ex, Ryan Hayes, a former SEAL and current NYPD diver. He says he has followed her to apologize for his part in a betrayal that ripped them apart weeks earlier. But Mia is on a mission to forget, not forgive, until she witnesses a crime and becomes the target of a rich and powerful consortium. When Ryan saves her life, jeopardizing his own, Mia is more inclined to listen. And as the threat against her continues to escalate, Mia and Ryan find themselves running for their lives in paradise.

I received a copy for an honest review. I have to say this is the best book in the series to date I loved Mia Whitman and Ryan's Hayes love story Ryan didn't to anything to keep Mia from walking out on him after a misunderstanding and by the time he decided to apologize it was to late because Mia was gone and with no forwarding address Well when he found her she was working in the Southern Caribbean on the Island of Bonaire where she and her sister were for a couple of months before they moved on to Grenada they were using the boat their grandfather left to all his grandchildren to share while there Mia took a job as a scuba instructor and while she was out on a morning job one of her clients just happened to be her ex Officer Ryan Hayes but she was not having anything to do with him but it turned out today he was her partner but once in the water Mia is cool and doing her job but she sees a guy swimming off fast and she goes after him to get him back with the group and the adventure begins for Mia and Ryan. This is a exciting, suspenseful , romantic story. I loved this one it was a page turner. Adult Read.

Mia and her sister finally have their chance on their grandfathers boat Serendipity. In exchange for a spot to moor the boat she helps out on dives. It was the perfect time to escape from New York and the man that broke her heart. Off to do a dive with the recent group she freezes when one of the group is none other then Ryan the man that humiliated and embarrassed her. the reason she couldn't wait to get away. Ryan knew he needed to apologize to Mia and going to Bonaire to do it was a small price to pay after what happened back in New York. They both just didn't plan on having to run for their lives.

This is the third book in the A Serendipity Adventure Romance. They can be read as standalones. Mia was a wonderful character. Feisty and out spoken. She is torn on opening herself up to Ryan again. Ryan knew what happened that last day in New York hurt the one women he ever had feelings for. It started as a short term affair but he didn't want to let her go. I love a man that isn't afraid to apologize. The book starts off with adventure and mystery and it continues on until the end. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

After the grandfather died he left his boat to the grandkids and wanted each set of siblings to take trips out to bound with each other. This trip is for Mia and her sister so they can have the time of their lives.
Mia is a scuba instructor. So she at home in the water. While she was in n.y. she got her heart crushed by Ryan.
Only it wasn't his plan to hurt her. His buddy were ribbing him and it all came out wrong. So here he is hunting her down in the Caribbean to tell her how sorry he is and beg her forgiveness.
But things don't go has he planed. First day seeing her again Mia witnesses a man committing a crime and he try to kill her. Ryan safes her. Then he saves her a few more times as killers are after her. It's kind of hard to stay mad at a guy after that lol
I have really fallen in love with this series. (And it's not even my normal genre) it's fun, action packed and has enough steam to make it spicy lol. Great storyline and loveable characters that are easy to connect to. It's an adventure that it not to be missed. You will not be disappointed. I couldn't put the book down and wish I could give it more stars 5 is just not enough!

WOW, I was instantly drawn into this book, it felt like I was inside a live action movie... bring on Indiana Jones. Once I started, I couldn't put the book down, then I had finished. 'Windswept' is book 3 in the "Serendipity Adventure Romance" series, I really recommend you read this series in order, but it isn't needed.

It's Mia & her sisters turn to spend time on Serendipity, travelling to Bonaire, helping out on a tourist dive boat, leaving behind a man who broke her heart. Ryan has finally tracked down Mia & plans to make things right, but events start to implode just when they see one another for the first time.

A new set of siblings to read about, Mia's story is both heartbreaking but good all in one. You get the briefest of glimpses into what the previous characters are up to, but then it's all about Mia & Ryan, what a story that is. I LOVED IT & can't wait to read what comes next in the series.

Absolute fantastic read! I'm still trying to decide between this one (Windswept) and Entangled as to which is my favorite. I'm not sure I'll ever be able to decide. You want an action packed, steamy romance series then look no farther! Author Anna Lowe is THE ONE for you (and me)! You'll get addicted to her just as quick as I did. This book reels you in from the start and doesn't let go! Between the life or death flying through the twists and turn curves of action and smoking hot romance, the adrenaline keeps your heart pounding! You'll be Windswept as well! I LOVE THIS SERIES AND THIS AUTHOR!!

Mia, a scuba diving instructor gets tangled with the wrong scuba diver. Can Ryan, her x, an NYPD officer and x Navy SEAL who badly wounded her keep them both alive long enough to beg Mia for a second chance? There is much more to this book than I could ever summarize.

Mia is sailing with her sister around the world but for now they are in Bonaire working for awhile before continuing their voyage. Mia is working on a boat that takes groups out to go snorkeling what she doesn't expect is to see the man who broke her heart in New York. Ryan is one of NYs finest but he takes leave so that he can find Mia and apologize for hurting her. Mia doesn't want his apology she just wants to be left alone. When she sees something she shouldn't she has to fight for her life since there are bad guys that want her dead. Ryan promises to keep her safe and protect her no matter what. Mia knows that she needs him and is willing to let the past stay in the past and try to start over. This is a fast paced story that may not be long but it has everything you want and need in a romantic suspense story. This is a standalone in a series with no cliffhangers and has a HEA.

Packed full of intrigue and suspense, this romantic thriller will have you on the edge of your seat throughout it's entirety. Mia is on the run, but not from what you think. She's running from her feelings, her fears and most of all, the man she loves, and not for the right reasons. When Ryan finally tracks her down and catches up to her, they find themselves entangled in a deadly game of cat and mouse, after they witness a crime, and especially since they're not sure if the police are on their side or not. His first priority was to apologize to Mia, so he can only hope that after they survive the mess they have found themselves in, that she will accept him, because he has come to the conclusion that he can't live without her. Will their love prevail? Will they survive the attacks? Will life ever get back to normal?
A standalone, this book is a must read. You won't be disappointed. I know I wasn't.
