I received this book through a Goodreads giveaway. I just couldn't get into it and had to take a break from it. Everything happens in the last 50 pages. The writing style was difficult to read, and I'm still not sure what the point of the whole thing was. There were some concepts that were interesting but not developed as much as they could have been. Just not for me, I guess.

Wow. I won this through a GR giveaway, and was intrigued by the premise. However, the writing is not good and does not match what a novel should be. Everything is just line after line, and the pop culture references I got to were literally just a bunch of references with no context, just saying "Roseanne? The Goonies? etc.," should not justify pop culture references. The writing is hard to follow and there's no way I can trek through this.

This book is very tedious to read. They narrative style is a stream of consciousness filled with lists of tv shows/movies, actors and other names and name brands as an attempt at inculcating "pop culture". There are few distinct references and many are just used as poorly placed word play. Where the pop culture references in Ready Player One, which is referred to in the blurb, add a backdrop to the story, these are simply lists of almost any movie, show, actor, candy bar, event, etc.... from the ...more

I received this book for free from goodreads.

im sorry to say I just couldn't read through more than 3%of this book. I just found it too annoying. pop references to tell the story was a clever idea but was too strained for me. it might do for someone who enjoys that kind of writing.

This book is a fairly decent start for a new author. The characters are decently written and they develop fairly well through the story but the story line itself lacked a little depth. It was rather predictable. It had its entertaining moments but then completely lost my interest at others.

This was a love story and could have been a delightful escapist read. However, the story was difficult to follow. I received this book as part of the Goodreads Giveaway program.

I tried.

The idea sounded really fun.

I couldn't get past the format.

I took my kindle to the end, hoping that there would be a paragraph anywhere. No. Absolutely not. All simple sentences like the ones I wrote above. The first few pages of this drove me bonkers. I highly suggest that you read the preview before diving into this one. But if you are gung-ho and absolutely want to read it, it is currently FREE ON KINDLE. And still not worth it in my opinion. With some heavy editing maybe this could

If you read any part of UE A Love Story, and you spot a pop culture reference, please list it below, and I will LIKE it. (Please DO NOT give away its location - what chapter, etc.) Happy reading!
