NEW: Join the Kickstarter campaign for Gremmy's paper edition until July 7.

So, I'd just slapped on three stars ("I liked it"), when my inner little gremlin slapped my pawsies. "Why, you ... did you forget what it was like to be four? And did you ever consider what sort of children will grow up if they start with a book like this? And did you imagine how much they'll laugh during the games the author has thrown in along with the reading?"

(That last ques

This week, I have the pleasure of presenting a unique book where you are not the hero. The hero is your child. This is the first published gamebook (or “GameTale,” as the author calls it) targeted at children ages 3 to 8. Inside, very young readers will assume the role of Gremmy the little gremlin and enter a fantastic world in order to provide his greedy tummy with food for the winter.

The Book

Reading only a few lines will make it clear that the writing is aimed at kids: short sentences, simple

The Story:
In a hole in the ground lives a little gremlin. If you wonder what exactly is a grmlin, first you must know that it is not a troll, nor a goblin, nor an orc or something else - it is actually something completely different. Second, a gremlin has this kind of paws, and horns, and muzzles, and tails, the kind only gremlins have, so it is hard to mistake them. Now that you know what a gremlin is, please meet the little Gremly `(absolutely no idea how

In this unique children’s book, game and tale hold each other’s paws as they go on a big adventure!

If you’ve ever read gamebooks and you have children or have kept your inner child alive, or better even, you have children and have kept your child alive, then The Big Adventure of the Little Gremlin is just the right book for you. The cover says “GameTale,” and Gremmy smilingly invites us to play together. The adventure starts from the hole in the ground where Gremmy lives, but where it will take

English review (Scroll down for Bulgarian! :)

“High up in the mountain, deep inside the forest, alongside the river, in a hole in the ground, there lived a gremlin.” It sounds like the iconic opening line of Tolkien’s Hobbit: “In a hole in the ground there lived a hobbit.” The Big Adventure of the Little Gremlin is a wonderful fairy tale for kids, presented as a game. Quite a few years ago, gamebooks (or Choose Your Own Adventure) were at their peak, but in case you’ve missed them, they give you

After reading a lot of positive comments and reviews on the book, I decided to see what it was all about. I was so interested that I even bought 2 copies, one of which was a gift for the mom of a 3-year old rascal.
Somewhere I saw the definition “the Bulgarian Terry Pratchett” being applied to the author of this book and being a big fan of Mr. Pratchett, I wondered what was the reason for that.
I got my answer after reading the first three paragraphs of the book.
The first of the two biggest simila

Nicola Raykov's tale is an amazing gift to children and their parents. It is a tale with a wonder in it, it is a tale that can be read by everyone in a different way. It is a tale for those who like travelling and adventures, but it also has got some moral at every of the 22 possible endings. Only the way hoe the Gremlin gets to the morals is very modern. The moral comes out of a coinsidence in an adventure. The way Gremlin learns is very up to our epoch - the epoch of surfing the net, the era o ...more

Amazing book, enjoyable not only for little ones, but also for grown-ups, while together they start a magical-fairy-adventure-game!
The beautiful illustrations fit perfectly the beautiful words written in the book, but for me the most impressive part is that the entire book is filled with goodness!
I wish worldwide success of the book and the author and I hope it will be able to reach many children because the personal choice presented as a game in the book is an unobtrusive way to prepare our chi
