Based on my dark depraved tastes.....plus intense action.....and mafia draws you in with blood, gore, torture and bullet flying suspense; in all truth I didn't like Tempting Boundaries. Tempting Boundaries continues the story of the Montgomery clan, and I loved that I got to follow a new couple closely, while also seeing what was up with Sierra and Austin from book 1.
Decker and Miranda had their work cut out for them - that's for sure! Not only did Miranda's family consider her 'the baby' they also considered Decker a brother. That made their feelings for each other all the sweeter, though, and I truly enjoyed getting to know them better. ...more

Decker has been a honorary Montgomery since he was a child, he's also been in love with Miranda forever.

I think it's a theme with this author: tell the new story, have the couple from the previous book do a cameo and introduce the one that will feature on the next book. I don't mind, but it makes for a fractured narrative because the three parts don't really mesh together.

Not going to write a huge review for this one but just have to rave that this contemporary series is my favorite from this author. I like her paranormal series too, but this series IMHO is her best work. Loved Decker and Miranda, and am so glad there are still plenty of siblings left to read about.
At what point do you tap out on a book that's going nowhere? If it's Tempting Boundaries, the answer is at the beginning of chapter 3 (13%). At least twenty-seven named characters and now a third narrator? Sorry, that's too much algebra for one novel.

Maybe 3.5 stars. This one was shorter than I expected and it was all going OK until we got to the separation part and it just came across as contrived and a little lame. Otherwise the story itself was enjoyable and I like reading a series about families so I'll most definitely read the next one

Did not like this at all. The characters are cliched and so OTT they are ridiculous. The h goes on a date, she noticed a couple of issues but when she goes home he attacks her, even though her face is battered and bruised the police say no evidence. Then the guy (a colleague - teacher) runs her down and beats her - in front of a witness. So obviously he's not the smartest teacher! It's been awhile since I read Book 1 in this series, and I so glad I came back to it. Decker Kenrick is a honorary member of the Montgomery family. I have to say I really enjoyed this story set in the Montgomery clan . This time it's almost a tale of forbidden love as Decker who has always been treated as family struggles to ignore his feelings for the baby of the family Miranda. You get invested in these couples story, the trials and drama along with some serious sexy times and then bam within one chapter or more everything is wrapped up solved and hea! But you don't get the hea because it's over!! No epilogue just unicorns and rainbows and THE END!

This book is part of a wonderful new series by Author Carrie Ann Ryan. You may be familiar with Carrie Ann's paranormal works, The Redwood Pack series and Dante's Circle series. So this is the second book in the Montgomery series and I'm thoroughly enjoying this wonderful, tightly-knit family. And it is a fairly large group! I really like the fact that even though their family ties are strong, the bond isn't limited to blood.
