I went into this book knowing full well what this book entails. It is a collection of accounts of big cat–lion, tigers, leopard–attacks. The listing of attacks is only a partial listing, and the figure only represents headlines that the Sanctuary was able to track. Unfortunately, there is no agency to keep records of such attacks. Common sense must lead us to assume that the number is much higher than what is reported in the novel.

Rather hypocritical
This book does document mostly unbiased accounts of incidents involving big cats in captivity. Included in these accounts are two attacks at Wildlife on Easy Street. These incidents are the ONLY ones in the entire book that that are written in a way that absolves the organization of blame for the attacks. What is NOT included is the fact that Big Cat Rescue WAS Wildlife on Easy Street. Ms. Baskin ran a place where people could pay to interact with wild cats, the same type of p ...more
