Read the whole book last night!
I love Calla a lot and I really love how a certain someone has changed and come back into the story as I loved that person in book one! ( well the start of book one )

I'm a massive fan of this series and I enjoyed every single minute of reading about Calla and her adventures and... well, misadventures. She's a really great character and I'm hoping that she'll get the justice she deserves. The palette of supporting characters is really interesting and definitely contributes to Calla's story. Chase... is Chase. I'm warming up to him but it's a bit hard to completely believe him again. What I do respect is that he's trying to move on from the mistakes

Fantastic sequel to A Faerie's Secret!

A Faerie's Revenge continues with Calla coming to terms with Chase's secret. While she struggles with her feelings and thoughts, some strange things have been happening around Creepy Hollow and Calla -unsurprisingly- finds herself in the middle of things.

It took me a while to get into the book and at first I was a bit confused as to where everything was heading. Eventually everything did make sen

This arc we find out quite a bit more about the Guardians.

(view spoiler)
Still reeling in the aftermath of the revelation of Chase’s true identity, Calla is hurt and lonely and trying very, very hard to move on and forget all about him -- to just focus on her guardian training. Unfortunately, easier said than done. Especially when Vi & Ryn are pestering her for information about him. Especially when faeries start getting sick with a mysterious illness, and she suspects Chase’s involvement. Especially when she herself is framed for causing the illness and she suddenly ...more

Love this series. But still feel kind of weird about Calla and Chase.

I picked up my first Rachel Morgan Creepy Hollow book because of the cover. I've stayed ever since because of the stories. The whole series (and all of her books) are so fresh and true. She never strays into tropes, I never feel as if she is simply retelling story already told a thousand times by other authors. She writes true characters, with honest conflicts, and I love traveling through the book with them to see what happens.

A Faerie's Revenge is no different. Both Chase and Calla are trying

Discovering Chase's secret was only the beginning for Calla Larkenwood in Rachel Morgan's A Faerie's Revenge. Calla shows a lot of growth through all she faces in this book. The dialogue between Calla and her Guardian friends often had me laughing. Certain instances in this book brought me to tears, and there is this really swoonworthy scene, but you'll have to read it for yourself. A Faerie's Revenge keeps the action high, the pace moving swiftly, and feels like a solid bridge between not only ...more

Thank you, Rachel Morgan, for an advanced reader's copy of A Faerie's Revenge! From my love of the other Creepy Hollow books I knew I would love this story. I knew I would love the fabulous new magical world building. I knew I'd love the characters, and especially I knew I couldn't wait to continue Calla's and Chase's stories.

But I never expected to fall so in love with the all the unexpected, beautiful subplots. Sure, this book is about a magical fantasy world with amazing faerie characters tha

This is such an amazing book. It is well written, flows smoothly and is easy to read. The imagery is so vivid you can picture every scene. The characters, their emotions and the experiences they go through are well depicted.

Once I started this book I couldn't put it down. It kept me captivated from the first page through the last. The first 3 books in the series were Violet's story, and this book is the second of Calla's story.

I love learning more about the characters as the series continues. I

"I blink at him. A second later, a manticore drops out of the air and lands on the table. Shrieks and gasps fill the air as the manticore scrambles to its clawed lions feet and opens its mouth to emit an inhuman roar. Darius jerks out of the way and falls from his chair as as the manticor's scorpion stinger flashes forward to strike at him. He throws his hands up to release magic---
And the illusion is gone."

Loved it! A Faerie's Revenge is the fifth book in the Creepy Hollow series. The first three books are Violet's story and books four and five are Calla's. I would say that I love each book more and more but honestly I think they are all amazing and love them all equally lol.

A Faerie's Revenge is full of action and real emotion. I couldn't read it quick enough! I had to know what was going to happen next. After the way that A Faerie's Secret ended the way it did I needed some answers and I needed

After finding out the truth about the intriguing and mysterious Chase, Calla is determined to forget all about him. She throws herself into her Guardian training. However it's difficult to forget Chase when he is mentioned in most of her textbooks, he's a vital part of Creepy Hollow history AND he keeps showing up everywhere. Then, Calla is accused of spreading a disease that rapidly kills the faeries. Left with no other place or person where she can remain safe, Calla is forced to rely on Chase ...more

3.5 stars. I wanted it to be four, but the writing was so uneven, fluctuating between awkwardly constructed dialogue among characters in situations that were so predictable as to almost be cliché, and the really imaginative and captivating imagery and storyline that I've come to expect from this author. I still highly recommend this series, though, despite the shortcomings of this most recent installment.

A few editing errors, but otherwise a great entry in the series. I hope the next book comes out soon as I can't wait to find out what happens next!

It's kinda hard to imagine right now that I used to read mostly traditionally published books. If you look at the books I've read lately, quite a lot of them are independently published. And for me they've been just as great, maybe even greater, than every other book I've come across. Maybe they're not always mainstream, but they cater what I need and what I want right now.

And this book is a prime example of it. Calla is this amazing character, feeling a lot like myself at times. She's emotional

This book continues with Calla finding out more about Chase and who he really is. I love the whole chapter of his back story it really helped me come to terms with who is and i felt so terrible for his whole journey and the guilt that he has to carry around and how he truly trying not to be so consumed by what has happened to him. As all the other previous books in the Creepy Hollow series, A Faerie's Revenge is very well written and the story never gets boring!

We meet some already-known characters from previous books but also get to know new ones.
There are also many ups and downs Calla, the main character in this book, has to go through but will she manage to solve all these problems surrounding her?

All in all I really enjoyed the fifth book of this awesome series and I can't wait for the next book!!

Good reading

Book 5 of creepy hollow was good, unfortunately it lacked the romance I was looking forward to. I still recommend the book, just not my favorite from the series.

I 100% did not expect to be as invested in this series as I am right now. It is your typical YA urban fantasy/faerie kinda book, but maybe that's just what I'm craving right now?

Well that was a ridiculously fast read. Calla continues to wiffle waffle on her feelings for Chase, which is annoying. Oh it's completely understandable, given who he is and what he's done, but still annoying.

We get a bit more of our favorite power couple Vi and Rin in the best way possible. I fan girled a bit, not going to lie.

Chase continues to be the upstanding character we know he could be... and get the whole story behind, erm, his past and what made him do what he did. If this do

Everything has fallen apart, and nothing is as Calla thought it was. Not her mom. Not the Guild. Not the man she was falling for. Her dreams of being a guardian are turning to dust, and she's not sure who to turn to for help.

The intrigue goes a bit deeper in this one, and it was a real page-turner. Calla is racing to figure out what's going on, how to get her mom out of her coma, and how to save her classmates from a disease she's been accused of causing. There's one man she knows she can turn t

But here is a snippet and overview of what I thought:

Overall, I loved this book. It is on my favourites list and oh my gosh this book was a journey. I had originally thought that I could read this book slowly but I lied to myself because I ended up reading the entire thing in a little over two hours. I forgot how addicting this series was. The writing hadn't change

I listened to this book entirely on audio.
I think I liked this one a little more than book one. I got used to Calla as a character, and it didn't take me as long to get into this book. In fact, once I started listening, I didn't want to stop. This did have one of my least favorite tropes--with Calla being blamed for something she did not do--and the first half of the book felt off-track from the main plot of boo

Rachel Morgan spent a good deal of her childhood living in a fantasy land of her own making, crafting endless stories of make-believe and occasionally writing some of them down.
