LE PRISME DE LA PROSTITUTION
La problématique envisagée ici n'est ni le commerce du sexe ni l'oppression d'une catégorie de femmes, mais les concepts mêmes de " prostitution " et de " prostituée ". Ces concepts sont des instruments sexistes de contrôle social. Les droits de l'ensemble des femmes sont indissolublement liés aux droits des prostituées parce que le stigmate de putain peut s'appliquer à n'importe quelle femme pour disqualifier sa revendication à la légitimité et peut jeter la suspicion sur n'importe quelle femme accusée d'avoir pris une initiative dans le domaine économique et/ou sexuel.

After graduating in 1974 a PhD (doctorate) in social psychology at the University of California , Gail Pheterson then served as a teacher-researcher position in psychology at the University of Utrecht . She is since 1997 a lecturer at the University of Picardie Jules Verne in Amiens , and since 2008, a teacher-researcher CRESPPA-CSU. During a period of delegation to the University of Puerto Rico , she has conducted research in the sociology of reproductive health in the Caribbean, which were within the broader scope of its HDR defended in 2005: Social relationships of power and psychic functioning: clinical and socio-cultural studies of prejudice, stigma and change processes . It has gradually developed an epistemological critique that reframes psychological issues, both theoretical and methodological, requiring the study of the impact of social power relations on the psyche, and analyzing the ideological function of the bias-historical and -political psychologizing interpretations of social dynamics.
In the general context of his interest in the internalization and institutionalization of social norms in specific historical and cultural contexts, it is centered on the regulation of prostitution and reproduction as prism of gender relations . Un ensayo interesante, pero creo que en 20 años la realidad ha cambiado, al menos la realidad que yo creo ver en mi barrio es distinta, mirando la prostitución desde fuera. Desde luego me he quedado con ganas de leer estudios más actuales y a nivel local.

Je suis d'accord avec le propros que je trouve bien sourcé sur des travaux important comme ceux de Paola Tabet et, la grille d'analyse que devient le prisme de la prostitution m'apparaît hyper intéressante pour comprendre les rapports de domination et de genre. Cependant, je ne pense pas que ça soit le meilleur des livres pour comprendre par le prisme de la sociologie et de l'anthropologie la prostitution (en effet, l'autrice est orientée vers la psychologie). Parfois le livre a du mal à articuler les différentes thématiques avec la prostitution. Par exemple, le lien entre violence envers les enfants, prostitution et enfants des rues n'est pas claire dans l'ouvrage et mériterait d'être plus approfondie. Je trouve également que la base empirique du propos et un peu limité et honnêtement les analyses de la psychologie ne m'apparaissent pas hyper bien amené dans le livre.
