I have been lucky to read an ARC of the second book in this enthralling Jenna James legal thriller series.

Without a doubt, this book starts off with a stomach-churning scene that will grip the reader and lead them on an investigative journey lead by Jenna and her team.

A bomber is on the loose and they have everyone Jenna either loves, or works alongside, in their sights.

The incredible twists and turns are never-ending as the bomber goes after Jenna's team individually, this alone will keep the reader turning the pages swiftly.

With the man she loves in danger, will Jenna be able to swallow her pride and work alongside the DA she hates most in the world to bring the bomber to justice or not?

Read it and see, you won't be disappointed, I can assure you.

Shadows of Doubt is the second book in the Jenna James series. Having read both in the series I would recommend to reading the first book to get full enjoyment from this book.

Even though the Jenna James series is classed as a legal thriller, there isn't actually much of the book that actually takes part in a courtroom.

Jenna James is back in yet another gripping read that is fast paced and packed full of action.

Right from the start the story is literally pretty explosive and is very much a race against time for Jenna and her friends.

There are plenty of characters from the first book and this is why it is better to have read the first book in the series. It is always good to see familiar characters though I have to say due to the storyline, Harry and Jake are a lot more sombre in this book which is understandable but I did miss the cheeky, happy relationship that both these characters had in the first one.

For anyone who likes a relatively quick read which is fast paced and that is full of action you will certainly love the Jenna James series.

Linda S Prather.
Book 2.
SHADOWS OF DOUBT.
This is the second book in the Jenna James series, I loved the first one. Hopefully this one is equally as good. I recieved this book as an ARC from the author and within the first two chapters I was hooked. Jenna is a district attorney who is faced with a dilemma does she choose her works path or the people she loves most.
The bomber from previous book has returned with a vengeance. She is left with agonising choices to make not least if she is to succeed she would have to join forces Marcus Dade who she hates.
You will enjoy this book as it is easy reading.

Shadows of Doubt was another Jenna James thriller and I love Jenna James. There are so many things I love about Jenna and her friends that I would be remiss to list them all as I would forget someone who really needs to be remembered. You will cry, you will scream, you will wonder who is truly whom in this book. A lot of "don't go there" and "don't trust them" will run through your mind and you might even say it out loud. There are a lot of secrets in this book and who knows who are the good guys. If you haven't tried Jenna James you can read this as a stand alone book, Linda Prather is good at what she does! Try it, you will like it!

I finally got the time to devote to reading Shadows of Doubt, as I knew once I picked it up I wouldn’t be able to put it down again. Like all Prather’s books, this one starts off crazy thriller fast and the action never stops. Just when I thought things were at a calm, something else would come along to cause a huge commotion once again.

All the regulars are back in this sequel with Jenna James. It was like opening up a book full of old friends to read about them once again. They are all so different with, the detail so rich that I want to believe they live somewhere in the real world and not just in Prather’s books. I could picture every scene, gasped with surprise, cringed when something bad happened, and even grinned like a fool when the bad guys got what they deserved. I was completely immersed in the world of Jenna James and her gang of do-gooders as they took on the evil bomber once again in this second book in the series.

This is absolutely a not to miss book. Read the first one if you haven’t read that yet as they are both fabulous. Prather’s books are not for the squeamish. She goes places other authors wouldn’t dare, taking chances, and it works out in a huge way. If you’re a fan of legal thrillers, this is one you need to get your hands on.

M.A.Comley had the Charlie character recommend a Linda S. Prather book to her mother in the Justice Series. So I took a break from the Justice series and read this, my first, Jenna James book by Linda P. and loved it. Will be downloading the sequel on payday to follow up on Jenna, Harry and Jake!

Edit. These comments are for the first Jenna James book. I errantly wrote them in the wrong place. Apologies.

OK now for Shadows of Doubt. What a roller coaster ride that read was. I am now left to wait for a third book in the series so I can see is Dade ever gets his come uppance and to find out what secrets Grant us hiding and who he *really* is!
I never quite figured out just what side of the law Gregory was on.
And I most definitely need to hear about Loki and Jake's PI Service so please bring on the sequel Miss Prather ... I shall be waiting.

Oh just one more comment. Kudos on the title. Initially I thought it to be so trite. But then you brought it all together in the Epilogue. Good Job.

Shadows of Doubt, the 2nd book in the Jenna James Legal Thrillers, keeps you hooked from the beginning up until the end of the book. At times the suspense and the knowledge that something is going to happen to the characters and that you couldn't stop it, made me take a breather to gather my wits and then back to the story, rooting for them to take their enemy down and hard. I totally loved this book and I can't wait for the next adventure of Jenna, Harry & Kie and to see who they are going up next. Thumbs up, Linda, and thanks for the opportunity to read this wonderful story! You just know how to spin the web of intrigue, suspense, courage under pressure and making the characters real people for whoever is reading the book.

Every now and again, I discover a new author and it is like finding a new best friend, that is how I felt when I read the first book in the Jenna James series, and was so excited to receive Shadows of Doubt by the amazing Linda Prather to review and it was as exciting and thrilling as the first one.
Right from the start I was gripped by this incredibly fast paced and exciting action packed thriller. It was also good to see quite a few my favourite characters from the first book, as well as not so likeable ones. One of the things I love so much about Jenna James is her loyalty to those she loves and will sacrifice her career to keep them safe.
I was kept guessing throughout and loved all the twists and turns and can’t wait for book three. I can’t recommend this book highly enough.

I was lucky enough to be given an ARC copy of this book in return for an honest review, with thanks to Linda S Prather and The Book Club.

Fast paced and rather gruesome in places this book will have you turning page after page. Lots of characters to get your head around but it's so worth it..

Jenna James District Attorney desperately searching for the crazed bomber who is wreaking havoc and killing those around her that she knows and loves. She thinks she knows who the killer is but is she right and will she get them before they take the man she loves....

Twists and turns abound in this crime thriller of a book...highly recommended reading

Second book in the series JENNA JAMES by Linda Prather. A fast action story that grips you from the first page. Can be read alone, though some of the. characters were in the first. The bomber is loose and full of vengeance for Jenna, the workers, and the man she loves. She has to decide loyalty to her friends, or the oath of office /she is a District Attorney. This means joining up with a lawyer, a man she distrust. An unusual plot, full of twist and turns, right to the end. A good for all to enjoy. I've only read a couple of her books and looking forward to more.
Given a. voluntary review, of my honest opinion.

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC from the author and TBC in exchange for an honest review.
I literally could not put this book down once I got into it.
I hadn't read the first book in the series so it can definitely be read standalone and you'll still know what's going on.
The action, drama and suspense are non-stop throughout the book until the end so it won't leave you bored or disappointed.
I prefer not to give any plotlines etc away on my reviews, but I will say that I will definitely be recommending this book to others and I can't wait for the next book in the series!

I wa lucky enough to read an arc from TBC for an honest review...

I read the first in the series and highly recommend it. I was interested to see what troubles Jenna would get into this time.

The story is full of characters and as i skim read...it did helpto jot names and relations to who, how. However a few chapters in and i was hooked. Working out the intricate plot.

It is a rollercoaster of a read and although you would benefit from readingthe the previous book you can read this as a stand alone.

I'm so looking forward to continuing the series. Great read!

I was lucky enough to receive an ARC in return for an honest review. I thorough,y enjoyed the first book of the series, but I just couldn't get into this one. It seemed that there was violence on every page, and it was just too much. I didn't feel as though I knew the characters any better in this second book.
