Impure Bargains
Desiderus has served Ba'al faithfully for nearly one hundred years. When Haven Rowe put a gun to his head and pulled the trigger, her fierce nature stirred emotions he hadn't felt since before Ba'al claimed him. With his sight set on consuming her body and soul, he'll use every deceptive idea at his disposal to make sure she belongs to him.
When Haven walked in on a demon stealing her brother, Jeremy, her entire world unraveled. Born to a family of magic users, yet unable to use magic of her own, Haven will do anything to get her brother back from the depths of hell, even if it means she has to bargain her soul.
With the help of a witch, Haven seeks out loopholes to the soul bargains that have been made. She either finds a way out for her and Jeremy, or they both might be lost forever. Right now, I'm asking myself why did I wait so much before starting with reading this book.
Because it was sooooooo good.
Desiderus is one of the oldest demon, made by his king Ba'al,also known as King of Hell. In this story that author created demons weren't fallen angels, they were humans with a soul full of sins. While working for a Ba'al he made a lot of things that normal humans can't even imagine. So going on Earth to steal Jeremy, our h brother, that is only little things that doesn't even bug him. Well, that is until Haven shoot him in the head with a gun. But, don't worry, because, lucky for him, he can't be shoot. With gun, that is. Cupid arrow may be other thing (not that Desiderus would even think about that).
Haven is mostly the human who works for DAIS. That is some sort of organization who catch demons so they scientist can study them. Now, Haven wasn't bad h, but I did mind few things about her.
First would be how she is naive about DAIS. Why would they only catch them so they can study them?? They wouldn't want power?? And how can one white bird that makes people around her calm be a demon??
It doesn't make sense at all, but I think Haven will be much better in next book.
Also, I didn't like about her how she see world like a black and white, which would be totally opposite of me. But, it did started to change around end of the book.
I could imagine some people calling her stupid about what she did for her brother, Jeremy, but if I think about myself in that position I know I would do same thing for my sister.
I'm very interested what will happen with Undine, one powerful witch. And what is it about Haven, that makes one of most powerful witches ever, mark her??
About Ba'al: He was such a snake!! I would say that I hope he rolls in hell, but he is already King of Hell, so...
I just can't imagine situation if Ba'al gets what he wants. That really,really,really wouldn't be good for Haven. And it is not like Desiderus can say something against him. But if Desiderus do what Ba'al wants, Haven would never forgive him.
The relationship between Haven and Desiderus wasn't really relationship in normal meaning. But they did have a contract which made things so much fun!!
Oh, and my dear author I'm giving you a medal for a last chapter. Last word. It was so fuc*ing fantastic.
After that little sneak peak about book two, and after book 1, I want it now!! So please, hurry up with writing, because addict like me, need it quickly!!!!!

"Desiderus , of course. Did you see him? He's a demon with angel wings. An angelic demon. Did you know demons didn't fall from heaven? Ba'al made them from humans."
YEY, sex with a hot demon!!!..ahem. Back to reality.
Considering that this is the first book from the Impure Series, the plot so far is promising. Can't really say it's a complex book with complex characters (for now. Maybe they will evolve with the following books.), but this book is definitely filled with paranormal, fantasy, action and a little bit of humor.
When Heaven's younger brother is taken to Hell to Ba'al himself , our heroine tries to find a way to rescue him and break the contract between Jeremy and the king of Hell. Seems like in order to get informations about the contract and find a way to break it, Heaven must make a deal of her own with Ba'al's right hand , Desiderus.
But on her way to fulfill her goal , Heaven ends up as a prisoner of the Celest . Bewitched and unable to find her way back on her own, Heaven is saved by the demon with purple eyes. With the help of a witch Desiderus manages to bring the old Heaven back to herself , yet she remains marked by the Celest witch .
Meanwhile our good witch found a way to break Jeremy's contract and Heaven is taken to Hell. Her brother is free to go, but little did she knew that Desiderus tricked her . Now Heaven is bounded to Desiderus and she is about to play a big part into fulfilling Ba'al's plans.
"I'm a demon. You made a deal and now your end must be paid."

As many of my readers know, I give reviews on my own books to allow my readers to see my thought processes via goodreads.
This is the first book in a new series, Impure series. I'm planning 7 books, all following the same couple and the deadly sins/heavenly virtues will play a role in this paranormal romance series.
Originally when I wrote this book, the imp didn't play a part, but as the story grew and I revised, Gib showed up and then stuck with me. He will be playing a bigger role in book 2.
Haven, as a character, was difficult for me to write because she has so many internal issues that she doesn't even realize she struggles with, like her inability to let herself get close to people. Because she has lost so much in her life, it was hard to explore that without being able to use her specifically. I think on some level Haven knows she has issues, but I don't think she really looks at them internally.
Desiderus was a unique character for me to write, not only because he is a demon, but also because of the demon mythology that introduced itself to me via Desiderus. I had a lot of fun writing him and exploring his demon side.
I truly hope you enjoy the book and look forward to hearing from you.

Haven Rowe was born from a line of magic users, but cannot do magic herself. She walks in on a demon kidnapping Jeremy, her brother, which sends her world reeling. She will do anything to get him back, even bartering herself to the demon, who she finds herself strangely attracted to. In spite of that she enlists the aid of a witch in order to find loopholes in the bargains.
Desiderus, a demon and the right-hand of Ba’al, is just handling business by retrieving Jeremy when he meets Haven. He finds himself oddly intrigued by her and plagued by a strong desire to own her. Despite any loophole, Haven might find Ba’al wishes to make her a succubus and tasks Desiderus to corrupt her. After all, as a demon he cannot actually have any feelings for a human, can he?
Along with her worries about her brother, she is caught by anti-magic zealots who drug and imprison her and, oh also marked by an evil witch. Desiderus rescues her and sees the mark, but will protect what he has claimed. Apart from her brother’s issues, Ba’al demands Desiderus binds her. Will her desire for the demon override her common sense? He just wants to make sure his property is safe, right?
This was a great read, and an enticing beginning to a new series that ropes you into wanting to see what is next. The setting was contemporary, but ripe with colorful characters that included demons, witches, and a mysterious anti-magic cult which gave an extra bit of thrill. The sexual chemistry bouncing between Haven and Desiderus was compelling and it practically sparked when they were together. I would highly suggest the read, but fair warning the characters and world can be addictive.

Wow! This book is HOT! Wow, I am speechless... that does not happen too often especially when it comes to books. It is not just an average paranormal read. It's different much different then I've read before but, that's a great thing! Because let me tell you this...I abslo-freakin-lutely LOVED it!
Decadent takes us on a ride to say the least. The story has so many twists, turns and jaw-dropping moments that I swore my jaw would become permanently detached! We have hot, steamy, adventurous, and much much more.
Impure Bargains is packed with jealously, lies, deceit, revenge, passion, hate, love, and betrayal oh and let's not forget lust! Yeah, it kept me on my toes. I was reading and being cocky, "Oh, I see where this is going." when out of no where Decadent just throws a curve ball at me. Word to the wise...never think you are going to know what is going to happen next in this book because believe me you will be wrong! Why did you leave me hanging like that Decadent! Lol
We meet Haven, although she is dedicated to her brother and work, she's feisty girl with lots of fire! Haven is determined,cold and pretty much a loner, she works hard at saving her brother because he is all that's left of the family. Her desires are sparked in this roller coaster ride. The only thing wrong with this picture is Mr. Write is so Mr. Wrong. He will open up doors she does not want to travel down. How can she contain herself? Her character changes when she sees him. Her thoughts are clouded with him so that tells you it's not just desire.
Desiderus is a desirable and handsome demon. He's cocky mixed with a little arrogance. He is after all one of the highest demons. He is drawn in ways he's never experience to a human, Haven. What's different about her? I could feel his character changing and molding to her heart. I can't wait to see what happens next because I think there relationship will have a passion that will burn these pages!
Haven and Dessiderus were in for a bumpy ride. Their relationship was based on lies, lust, and bargains, although their feelings seem real. He is determined to get what he wants.
This first book in a series was so intriguing because it keeps you on the edge of your seat entertaining you with temptation, lust, and attraction that takes it to a level that just burns through to your soul. You can actually feel the characters and the entire book makes you feel such a realness to it that you are actually on the adventure yourself. I love when a good book draws you in in such a way that glues you to the book page after page. Great job Decadent! I want more!

Impure Bargains by Decadent Kane is the first in the Impure series and right off I was thinking 7 Deadly Sins. When a demon steals Haven's brother, she vows to get him back at any cost. He has made one too many deals with the devil and can't pay his debts. Haven is determined to rescue him. Coming from a magical family, she is able to summon the demon and intends to offer herself instead. Desiderus is drawn to Haven's pure soul and is immediately smitten. They strike a deal that may just thwart both of their plans. Haven is convinced she can find a loophole to the bargain she makes and Desiderus is jaded enough to believe he will strip the last ounce of purity, the thing that attracts him, from her to the point that she will no longer interest him.
The magnetism between Haven and Desiderus is sizzling. And let me say some of their encounters had me fidgeting in my chair, they were that hot! He is loyal to his demon lord and she is determined to take him down; their journey will be interesting to say the least.
The way the author slowly and painstakingly drew out the growing relationship between the demon and the supernatural hunter was excruciating and delicious at the same time. The characters are well fleshed out, including the secondary characters (who I hope get their own story down the road) and the plot runs at a steady pace. I could not put the book down once I started. There is heat, intrigue, mystery, and an undeniably charming cast of characters.
The other thing I loved about this book is how the author built a contemporary world where magic exists. Paranormal aspects are woven into normal, everyday living. There is an organization that Haven works for that captures magical creatures for research. Additionally, Haven encounters a religious cult with its own nefarious plans. The lines are blurred between good and evil throughout this book so I am curious as to what comes next.
Although the book is 224 pages I feel as if I have only scratched the surface of what is to come. I am looking forward to following Haven's journey and highly recommend Impure Bargains.

The way the author slowly and painstakingly drew out the growing relationship between the demon and the supernatural hunter was excruciating and delicious at the same time. The characters are well fleshed out, including the secondary characters (who I hope get their own story down the road) and the plot runs at a steady pace. I could not put the book down once I started. There is heat, intrigue, mystery, and an undeniably charming cast of characters.

All Haven has left in this world is her brother, and when a demon steals him, she'll stop at nothing to get him back. Having magic in her blood, she summons the demon and offers a deal for her brother's life. Haven thinks she's being smart, but her own body betrays her when the gorgeous demon, Desiderus sets his sights upon her. While she tries to find a loophole in the deal, the sizzling attraction shows her she realizes that she has something more to fear than just losing her soul.
Impure Bargains is the first in this paranormal erotica series and it starts off the series with a bang. In more ways than one! Haven is supernatural hunter that kicks butt. She's smart, strong, and sexy. I love heroines like her. Desiderus is everything she loathes and yet incredibly hot. A few of their scenes had me fanning myself. He's loyal to his lord as she is to her family, and I'm eager to find out just what they can be to each other.

So many that some get addicted to it and have to be rehabilitated. Haven works for DAIS which is an organization that hunts down supernatural creatures to study them. (I think there's something sinister about DAIS no matter Haven's trust of it!) There's a fanatical cult against magic that lives underground. So many delectable details in this world that all weave together wonderfully.
This book hooked me with its fascinating world and fiery tension. I can't wait to read more from Decadent Kane.

Well, if you ever wonder what kind of book to read when you're looking for the type of romance that does not follow the usual clichés, look no further!
In Impure Bargains we have Haven Rowe, a sort of demon hunter, who happens upon Desiderus, a demon spiriting away her brother. Unable to find another way to help said brother, Haven signs a contract with Desiderus. The first of many mistakes...
Haven and Desiderus were not your usual fictional couple - if you could even call them that. He was after completely owning her. She hated his guts but he made her hot as hell - no pun intended!
Furthermore, up until the end of the book, they were each trying to trick the other. Well... When they weren't busy screwing their brains out in their minds... Or physically...
All in all, it was a quick, hot read, with lost of plot twists and witty dialogues. Seriously, worth your time 100%!

Every time I pick up a Decadent Kane book, I make sure I'm wearing heavy oven mitts because this woman's writing is HOT, HOT, HOT!!!!
'Impure Bargains' is the first in a new series of deliciously dark and yummy tales designed to leave you flustered, amazed, satisfied and in desperate need for the author to write faster. I love the spin of the 'selling of souls' trope Ms. Kane created!
Desiderus is a temptingly shady demon who finds himself face to face with the most obstinate and determined of creatures, a woman named Haven. At first, he thinks her bravado and attitude is merely a smoke screen but learns soon enough that there is definitely fire beneath the flame.
Haven, for her part, is desperately loyal to her brother and if she has hopes of saving him from eternal damnation, she knows she's got to fight hard and dirty. Did I say dirty? You know, sexy dirty! *winks*
Ms. Kane continues to effectively and consistently grow as a writer, going from strength to strength with smooth ease and plenty of moxie.
I'd sell my soul (figuratively speaking!) for more enticing reads from you, Decadent!

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Impure Bargains is a wicked hot read! When the demon Desiderus comes to claim Haven's brother Jeremy, she has a real problem with the demon's plans and doesn't hesitate to make him aware of the fact. There's an interesting turn of events though. The sexual chemistry between the two is off the charts explosive. From the moment they lay eyes on each other Desiderus has to have her to the point where it becomes an obsession. And who wouldn't want a smokin' hot sexy demon obsessing over them right? Desiderus is Ba'al's second in command and to say that an obsessive attraction to a mere human is a problem is quite an understatement. Every time these two are around each other the sparks fly like crazy! This story will have you rooting for the demon and flipping the pages as fast as you can to find out what happens next. I highly recommend giving this a read immediately and I personally cannot wait for the next one in this series!

But when Haven and Desiderus are out trying to find that bird, her for work, him for leverage, Tyson kidnapped Haven in the middle of Desiderus having his fun. Started reading this book and feel in love. At first I was worried that I wasn't going to get the time to finish it before it came out but the last two days I went on a binge reading every second I could. I didn't want to put the book down even though last night I was up till two am reading. My favorite line "he was sin on a damn stick." Made me giggle.
Decadent Kane is really good at capturing my attention and keeping me interested even when she is just describing the location of where the characters are. I can't wait to read the other books and I am excited to see where Desiderus and Haven go.

This was a great read, and an enticing beginning to a new series that ropes you into wanting to see what is next. The setting was contemporary, but ripe with colorful characters that included demons, witches, and a mysterious anti-magic cult which gave an extra bit of thrill. The sexual chemistry bouncing between Haven and Desiderus was compelling and it practically sparked when they were together. I would highly suggest the read, but fair warning the characters and world can be addictive.

First I liked to say I love Decadent Kane's Trouble With Elves series...however, I think she has outdone herself with this first book in her Impure series. Impure Bargains is absolutely phenomenal. I devoured this book in no time at all, although I wished I would've made it last...I couldn't put it down! This story sucked me in and I wallowed in the sinfully divine tale, and am now fantasizing about one tall, dark and horned delicious demon!
Decadent Kane...please give me more, give me more, give me more!!! ;)
I am so very thankful & lucky I won a signed copy of this book, thank you Decadent...I will treasure it as the fine jewel it is!

I read Impure Bargains a few weeks ago, and it was so good that I read it again over Christmas break. Decadent Kane did an excellent job of keeping the dialogue between Desiderus and Haven interesting and funny. Her writing reminds me of the earlier Merry Gentry books by Laurell K. Hamilton. This was a very steamy read. The story line is fast paced, and the character development is good. I especially liked how the relationship between Desiderus and Haven evolved. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys paranormal romance. 5 Stars!

Hot hot!!!!! I usually read a lot of paranormal type books and was happy that Impure Bargains is not like the rest.
After walking in when a demon was stealing her brother Heaven will do anything to get him back. What she didn't expected was to find herself fighting with desires she should not be filling.
I really like this book and don't want to say much because it will give it away.
I really liked Heavens character and the plot.
I will be reading the next in the series!!!!!!

It's been a while since I last read about demons and witches but after a Kane continued winding the yarn, the story caught my interest. The first book abruptly ended which I did not like. I feel there were many missed opportunities to build a more complex character identity as Haven. Her interactions with the Celest were abrupt and slightly implanted into the story line awkwardly. I definitely feel the story concept has great possibility so I reserve further remarks until I can read more books in the series.

Wow I am hooked - I can not wait to read the further adventures of Haven and Desiderus !There are a lot of mysteries in this little book that hopefully the next books will reveal the answers to, not to mention the awesome environments in the book! Decadent Kane I will be waiting patiently for the follow up books!!

Are all demons supposed to be “bad” or can there be levels of badness?
It’s a classic tale of good vs. evil with a twist that only this author can provide. Take a twisted trip into a world where magic is common and the seven deadly sins are more than just mythical concepts. When Haven and Desiderus give in to temptation, it’s sizzling.

Holy shiznit! *fans self* What a fantastic start for a new series. Impure Bargains by Decadent Kane is Book 1 of the Impure Series and a must-read. When the author wove her wonderful storyline and added into the mix a sexy as sin demon and a pure soul human you end up with mega sparks erupting between the two. Ms. Kane gives us a read that has it all: great characters, lots of heat, a detailed world as well as a captivating storyline. Now go get you some!!
