Dr Hedgehog - 3 Book Collection
When you're as small as Martin Mouse, every little thing seems like the start of a whole new adventure. But when things go wrong and the world gets too big, it's good to know that the Doctor is only a phone call away. The Dr Hedgehog picture book series is intended to be read aloud to young children. Both the readers and the listeners will enjoy the stories. There are common characters, but each story can be read independently of the others. In most of the stories, Martin Mouse finds himself in awkward situations but Dr Hedgehog, usually with the help of other animals, is always able to assist. Children will recognise their mothers in Mavis Mouse, who worries about her son and is always greatly relieved when he arrives home safely. Includes: Dr Hedgehog and the Post Box Rescue, Dr Hedgehog and the Tree Rescue, Dr Hedgehog and the River Rescue

Parents at playgroup enjoyed reading these in the reading corner

My thoughts:
This three book collection comes in a lovely strong cardboard case that keeps them neat and tidy, it also look great on a bookshelf. The typical story is that Martin Mouse finds himself in a tricky situation. Along comes Dr Hedgehog with other fun animal characters to resolve the situation that Martin has found himself in. Even though these books feature the same characters they are standalone stories.
All 3 stories are written in a lovely style, with interesting stories that aren't too long and complicated. My son managed to keep his focus on what was happening as they are easily understood with a clear message.
We really enjoyed talking about what was happening whilst we were reading. When I asked my son which story he preferred he chose The Post Box Rescue, however he did really enjoy all three books.
The illustrations are engaging and my son especially liked the fact that Dr Hedgehog drove a car made out of an old baked beans tin!
Overall:
The Dr Hedgehog 3 book collection is engaging and perfect for young children!

I have reviewed each book separately so will not go into detail. This collection includes all Dr Hedgehog books in the series and comes well presented in a very strong collection case. Each book comes with a pull out poster perfect for putting in a child's bedroom.

Such a cute series for young children, especially boys. Martin Mouse is a little boy mouse who seems to find himself in trouble. Despite his mom always warning him of ways to avoid trouble, he still seems to find it. Luckily he has a community of animals looking out for him, led by Dr. Hedgehog, and they are always there to lend a hand to get little Martin out of trouble. This is a fun series and my son really enjoys all the characters. We also enjoy the pull-out posters included in each book. *I received a set of this series in exchange for my honest review*
