Oblivion is a sweet, sweet place.

No pain. No disturbing thoughts of the past. No guilt from my recent actions.

Deep down, there is still a part of me that knows how screwed up I am. I don’t see a way out, not now. Tria’s gone, and the possibility of her forgiving me in my current state is exactly zero. I know I have to pull myself together, accept my responsibilities, and t

RELEASED is the THIRD and FINAL book in the CAGED series and continues directly on from the events of TRAPPED where the male protagonist is in a dire situation, one that the author shows with what felt to me like bleak authenticity. It’s about fear, acceptance, facing ones demons, choosing life and not allowing your past to define your future. In many ways this is a gritty coming of age story.

Michael long ago left the safety of his family; they encompass

I didn’t need to be rich, and I didn’t have to be poor.

This third and final installment in the Caged series was cathartic and healing for Liam, Tria and his family.

"I hid inside of a cage for a good chunk of my life to avoid the reality of what was outside of it. The type of hurt and pain inside the cage was one I knew how to handle, but the emotions I experienced outside the cage were too much."

The final book in the trilogy brings us closure on all the secrets of the previous two books. Liam has hit rock bottom and there are only two ways he can go, up or down.

Tria really pulled through for him and I was glad that they were able to overcome everything that was thrown at them, because they both deserved their HEA.

Ah ha!!! The conclusion, and what an ending it was. I devoured this final instalment in one sitting. Beautiful and brilliant by Shay Savage. Her writing style and skill was superb. Perfection, when it came to telling Tria and Liam's tale.

Liam, Liam, Liam, you captured me from book 1 and, I journey with you until the end. You amazed, excited, infuriated and annoyed the crap out of me. Yet, my heart was yours from the start. This was your book. I felt and saw everything through Liam's eyes. His em

An end to an incredible journey!

Liam himself stated, many times, that he was far from perfect. I have to agree. However, he has grown and improved tremendously throughout the series. Shay Savage introduced us to an angry, damaged, and tortured "boy" and made him into a man!

I enjoyed every facet of Liam's character. Living in his mind, like I've said before, was a trip. The scenes where he was fighting himself and the pull of destruction were absolutely poignant and overwhelming. There were quite

What a beautiful conclusion to Liam and Tria's story!

Tria was not around and Liam dealt with his pain and loss the easiest way he knew how. But all is not lost. There's hope, all because of Tria. Liam needed to do what he needed to do to do right by Tria.

Throughout the story, I just wanted to wrap Liam up in a constant hug. There is such defenselessness to Liam's thoughts and actions that I felt like my heart was getting squished the whole time. The self-deprecatio

This the the final installment for Caged series. For those who have been following this series you must be anxious to see how will Liam sort out his emotional mess and win back his girl.

When we first met Liam back in Takedown Teague, he was a penniless ex-junkie who fights in a bar. He is living hand to mouth without any future plan. Fighting, smoking, talking to his neighbor, Krazy Katie... that's he all did. Now that Liam had more to consider including keeping Tria in his li

This is the final book in the series and I've got to say it was my favorite! There was drama, angst, revelations and deep emotion.

Liam's emotional journey comes to a crescendo with this book. He wants Tria back and he has to fight his demons in order to do get her back. Tria will have to put the life of their unborn baby first in this book and she will make Liam fight really hard to win her over. He will have to discover more about himself; he will have to leave his tortured past behind and make

Tria & Liam’s journey comes to a conclusion in the final installment of the Caged trilogy. Up until now, we’ve gotten bits and pieces of Liam’s past but never the full story. And with the cliffhanger ending that Shay left us with in book two, getting all the gritty details was a must.

Note to those reading the review that have not read the prior two books – minor spoilers might be in this. It can’t be helped since the majority of this book focused on a particular aspect that came at the end

I will say a few words...after I pull out the paper and grab a pen...I need to put this down in a standard way first...

Well, I am definitely surprised by this CAGED trilogy.
Yes, I guess i went into it, knowing it's Shay Savage and the books were about a fighter, one of my fave types of men to read about…

Yes, I expected fights, angst, sex, dominance and I received NOT only that BUT more of drama, emotional rollercoaster of much deeper proportions then i ever thought to be poss

This definitely is a PERFECT ending to a series that's had me wrapped around its finger.

Once again, I reiterate that this series is UNIQUE. I never, for the life of me, can figure out where SHAY SAVAGE gets her ideas, but this book definitely came from somewhere that no one has ever been to before. It's awesome!

This book ties up the mysteries of Liam's life before it all started. I must say, even though I already expected a lot of it, I was still surprised by some things that happened here. I l

This culmination of the trilogy shows how someone who hits rock bottom, finds the strength to pull themselves together a build a better life. This author takes Liam down a dark path, one he's known before. With EVERYTHING taken from him, you feel the resolve it takes for him to do the right thing.

Liam's path back to the light isn't easy. He fights temptations daily. He struggles through painful memories. Yet, with the promise to do right by Tria and their baby, he battles his demons every step

Gritty! Real! Saucey! In your face, no holds barred, pure Savagery!

I knew this book would be great because Shay wrote it, although I have to admit I was expecting the typical alpha-fighter-bad-boy-romance story like the the tons of others I’ve read.

Dead wrong. This is by far a cut above the rest.

I was blown away with how real the characters were written and portrayed. I felt like I was a fly on the wall watching real people face their life issues. I loved how Shay tackled the emotional probl

Yes, this series just gets better and better, and without a doubt, this last book is the best of all!  I've got to admit, many parts of this book had me crying, either silently, or full-out sobs!  What an emotional journey these three books took me on, and I really felt like the combination of all three made it read like one complete book.  Thank you to my book friend, Fabi, for this recommendation!

This is the final installment of this book and I did enjoyed much the first and the second series.
I was little dissapointed of Teague because of his act toward his parents. We know that Teague’s parents made a mistake but they truly sorry on what they did on the past. Our hero, was very stubborn not accepting their apology. That’s why i did not like much this series. Although for Tria,he always there for her.

But still, it was a good read . It was just not for me on this one.

OMG! This series is just like whoa and I have been hooked from the very beginning. I was so happy when this book ended up on my kindle. Released is the third book in the Caged Series by Shay Savage and yes, you must definitely read the first two books in this series because they are all about the same couple, Tria and Liam!

So, this one picked up right where Trapped leaves off and oh man. It was was one hell of a cliffy. Poor Liam. He literally broke my heart the first quarter of this book. But s

I was genuinely scared when Trapped ended. I am not going to lie, I cursed Liam and I called him names. I love the man to the moon and back but come on that was not a solution. There was a point when I thought, maybe Tria is better off. But I am a sucker for happy endings and no one was going to take that away.

This book made me understand Liam better. His fears, his hesitation and all his messed up self. We get to know about his p

The book started with Liam hitting an all time low. Trying to avoid facing his past led to bad decisions and losing everything that mattered to him. Much as you wanted to understand him, there is also a good chance you will want to slap some sense into him. Yet at the same time, you will remember why you loved Liam in the first place because he didn't wait for anybody to help him. He sought help and admitted that he messed up pretty bad. That took courage and strength, both qualities that he pos
Now THAT'S how you wrap up a trilogy! I just knew this was going to be a 5 STAR read after the first couple of chapters when the first round of tears came! This book BROKE my heart and MENDED my heart in one fell swoop. The conclusion of Tria & Liam's story is one that will never leave you. I LOVED every second of it.

I have yearned and dreaded the ending of their love story. Up until now, we've learned bits and pieces of Liam's past, but not enough to get the full story. Well, the wait is over m

- Loved the beginning : I really enjoyed Caged, but Trapped felt as if things lost a little traction. I’m glad to say that the beginning of this book really captured my interest again and emotionally, I think it’s the strongest of all the books. Seeing Liam hit rock bottom reminded me why I liked him and actually made me a bit misty, seeing him suffer for his actions. He’s still stubborn and imperfect, but this is definitely an interesting story of his journey back from the darkness.

That "stare into my soul thing she does"...
This was by far my favorite book in the trilogy. All of those unanswered questions get answered. I was left shocked and devastated at the end of Trapped. As I eagerly started Released, I was anxious, yet afraid to jump in.

I was so disappointed that my man had given in to his fears. He was so broken, so damaged, that he couldn't deal with a repeat of the most tragic event of his past. He gave in to his weakness, chased the numbness, and disappeared...aga

So this is it, the final story in the Caged Trilogy. Before I get into how much I ABSOLUTELY LOVED this series. let me tell you how much I LOVED this book.

At the End of Trapped I was left going "Don't you do it Liam, Don't you Dare!" So, of course I needed Released ASAP. I needed the conclusion, but at the same time I was scared to read it. I knew this would be a tough read because we find out what happened to Liam in the past that

This book is much more of a cathartic therapy session. Book 1 is the introduction, book 2 is the drama, and book 3 is the recovery. If you have ever known anyone with mental health issues, PTSD, or drug/alcohol problems, this book in particular will be very REAL for you. Its not always pretty, but I think Shay did an amazing job with keeping it real. The only real climax in this book comes from the "can he do it" aspect. While its not as climatic as the other books, its more beautiful i

Shay Savage always has her characters circle the bowl a few times before they find their HEA. This was certainly a dizzying ride and a long one!. . . even chopped up into three pieces. I think maybe a bit of editing versus splitting up the book may have made for a better story. I liked this NA story though, but perhaps more for Savage's excellent writing skill than feeling connected with the story or characters. A solid 4 star read ...more
