I liked this book, but I didn't like the writer's style. I'm tired of the typical clumsy female, the clichés that make it feel the author is trying too hard, everybody keeping secrets from those they care about. It was a sweet book and I liked the hero, Gage. Best of all, I liked the cover picture of him!

I met DeWanna Pace several years ago at a book signing in Amarillo, Texas with Jodi Thomas, Linda Broday, and Phyllis Miranda. That was an honor for me, my first time to meet real authors. I just finished this wonderful book by DeWanna Pace, it was truly an inspirational story. Courage to face the unknown and the will to overcome ones fears is a true gift in life. Love comes in all forms and is never predicted as we perceive it to be. When the love of your life falls into your path, grab them and hang on for the adventure. May we all have faith in our future, dreams, and in love as DeWanna did in her books.

The Texas Ranger's Secret by DeWanna Pace. It's a Historical Romance taking place in 1868.
Texas Ranger Gage Newcomb is after a horse rustler. Because of an accident his eye site is going. Glasses would help but he doesn't want to wear them. He meets Willow McMutry, who is stubborn and want to write about a real Texas cowboy. Working at Willow's sister ranch is a bad guy but they don't know that for sure, until Willow noticed the bad guy isn't wearing his gold tooth anymore and he is using shoe polish to color his hair black. When Gage says the guy he is after has a gold tooth and red hair. Romance happens between Gage and Willow. A good read.

Best book this season! Dewanna has written her best story and the lucky onyes are us! We get to enjoy this sweet story full of twists and turns in total joy
Dewanna's characters are so full of life and so real, I will miss them. My heart is broken that I won't get to see them in print on down the road. I just know they would've had more to say. Dewanna, you did good! - I feel your love. Sis. You can rest in peace knowing you made many people happy with this book. Love you! Sandy

The Texas Ranger's Secret is the last published book by DeWanna Pace. It a book of second chances and dealing with limitations . The Texas Ranger has to learn to let go of the past. Trust is an issue for most of the characters in this book. Willow, the heroine has to learn to accept herself and others.
It is a fascinating read of the West and keeps you interested . This is a hard to put down book once you start. I enjoy Texas ranger stories and this does not disappoint.
