What a great book - Lois Winston has done it again!

Anastasia Pollack, a widowed mother of two sons, is back crime solving, dealing with annoying relatives and getting herself into trouble.

Widowed by the "louse of a spouse" who gambled away everything the family owned and left her covered in debt - Anastasia is no quitter. She is determined to succeed and is getting life back on track. However, she finds herself in the middle of a mystery involving her mother's new husband.

With her hunky, "maybe

Another great book by Ms. Winston.

[An Anastasia Pollack Crafting Mystery]

A STITCH TO DIE FOR is just the right kind of cozy mystery: a delightfully snarky and feisty heroine who is a sort of amateur detective, a cast of characters who give new meaning to "family drama," and mystery heaping upon mystery. All this, plus crafts (and food).

When widow Anastasia Pollack' s multiply-married mother weds yet again, more in-laws (and more mysterious deaths) are caught up in the extended family ne

Quirky Murder Mystery

Poor Anastasia - her husband has died leaving her not only grossly in debt, but as "care taker" of his absolutely whacko mother. Then she has to deal with her husband's stepbrother & his terribly spoiled kids. Add to that her crazy mother who just married her 6th husband. Now dead bodies are piling up around her. The only thing going right are her two polite, well-behaved teenage sons & her new boyfriend. Anastasia is funny, gutsy, & determined to survive her life. I found t

Anastasia Pollock, widow with two teenage boys, supporting her mother and her mother-in-law, notices that the neighbor across the street has left her door open. The neighbor has been nothing but unpleasant to Anastasia and the rest of the people on the street, has spied on other neighbors, constantly complained to police about others, and once demanded that a six year old be arrested for drawing on the sidewalk with chalk. Still, Anastasia told herself, what if the woman fell and needed help? Wh ...more

Gambling and mobsters

This is one mystery you can't put down. It has a lot of twists
and turns in it. Not one easily figured out. A great plot, real to life
characters in a home town. This book takes you in a lot or different
directions depending on the character. This is one book you will
enjoy, if you are a mystery buff.

What a year Anastasia Pollack has had! Her mother is ONCE AGAIN marrying the man of her dreams, number six. Anastasia's own husband is dead but left her a plethora of dysfunctional family members. At least her sons are far better behaved than typical teens.
Now potential boyfriend Zach lives above the garage in her former craft studio. While Anastasia is convinced he is a spy for some government alphabet agency, he seems to be the stability of her life. What might the future hold for them?

Highly Recommended

Anastasia's mom is married and out of the house and she's thinking life will be easier until the bodies start piling up. Although it is apparent who is responsible for the murders, the mystery is solid. Can't wait for the next one.
