One kiss. That’s all it takes to captivate me. Although I fight the emotions that surge through me when I feel his lips touch mine, I am too far gone. It’s impossible to hide from the truth; Jake sparks a fire that burns life into me.

Our passion ignites the southern nights, but when our wishes for the future put us on separate paths, I am forced to imagine a life without

Review to come :) --->

Francisco has a certain way with young love, interjecting it with real life angst and problems AND still being witty and engaging.
Whiskey Nights is no exception with both loving and funny moments woven together in Jake and Beth's story.
There are times when I laughed out loud (condom scene) and other times where I said, "Oh, I so remember feeling that way."

This series is so three-dimensional, the conversation and characters come alive off the pages.
And the ending - well you

A beautiful and steamy romance story that will have your heart yearning for more.

I don't think an author can ever go wrong if they throw in that SOUTHERN element into it. I mean, how can you not fall head over heels with a chance of drool, when it comes to cowboys, those southern manners, the way they talk and lets no forget the horse riding.. *warning* head is slipping straight into the gutter ;) haha

Overall, I just really loved every part of WHISKEY NIGHTS.

Whiskey Nights is the second book in the Sweet on You Series from Fabiola Francisco. While you can read this one as a standalone, check out Sweet on Wilde before plunging into Jake and Beth's story.

When I found out Francisco was writing a story featuring the sexy bartender from Southern, I was like HELLS YES!

description

Beth is stubborn with a capital "S." She is also smart, beautiful and independent, which makes the witty back and forth between her and flirty, confident Jake so DAMN amusing. I don't kno

I do, Jake. I most definitely do, sadly Jake doesn't, he only has eyes for, Beth. Lacy on the other hand, I'm just her type. What? Fabiola Francisco the queen of romantic HEA has written a F/F? Sadly no, Lacy is a lesbian character. Actually she's a really fun girl, so watch this space. I see a novella of F/F on the horizon. Just dropping a huge hint there.
I've been looking forward to reading Beth's story after being introduced to her character from 'Sweet on Wilde'.

Whiskey Nights by Fabiola Francisco is a great story with an intricately woven plot. Ms. Francisco has created a beautiful love story with a true southern twist. I was captured by the genuineness of the piece and I loved the Southern Charm! I could totally relate to the characters and I was rooting for, as well as crying with the characters as the story unfolded.

Beth has been fighting her attraction for the flirtatious Jacob Green for some time. That one night la

An awesome read about friendship family and love. Beth has known Jake for a long time. Her opinion of him is that he is a player and a flirt, based on the amount of times he has flirted with her. She won't give him the time of day. All that changes on one faithful night. Now all she has to do is give him a chance. A chance to be the man of her dreams.
Jake has been in love Beth since as far as he can remember. She is allusive and stubborn. When she give him the chance he has been waiting for he n

This was my first Fabiola Francisco book and I really enjoyed bother her writing style and the characters/story. Jake and Beth were easy to relate to and I was firmly invested in their love story. I especially loved Jake, the flirty sexy bartender. My heart broke at one point for them both, but Francisco manage to deal with the emotions both characters felt in a way that felt authentic and never once ventured into melodrama. I plan to go back and read Sweet on Wilde one day soon because of how m ...more

3-1/2 stars. This is book 2 in a series. This prologue is quite intriguing. A bit of mystery and chemistry. We solve the mystery pretty quickly and their romance takes off. Unfortunately they're HEA is short lived. Spoil by a huge difference of opinion. What follows is pretty darn agnsty. I did enjoy this book, but I would recommend reading book 1 first. There was a couple of times I thought, "ok, move it along," but overall, I was entertained.

Whiskey Nights is book two in Fabiola Francisco’s Sweet on You series. Each book is meant to be a stand-alone NA erotic romance, however, I got the impression that had I read the prior book, Sweet on Wilde, I would have had a clearly picture of the characters.

The prologue is very intriguing; it made me curious and got me hooked on the book. It was simply a New Year’s Eve kiss that our main character, Beth, cannot forg

"When you find that person you can’t live without, you fight to be with them. When you think you have no more fight left in you, you fight a little more. When you find love this pure and honest, you will do everything in your power to keep it from slipping from your fingers."

It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Sweet on Wilde. I love that book! So when Ms. Francisco announced that she was writing Jake and Beth's story, I was ecstatic.

To me, Whiskey Nights is kind of like Sweet on Wilde with a

Where do I begin? This is the romance of all romances. SWOON! Whiskey Nights is an absolutely beautiful, heartwarming, no drama romance. WOW!

Jake is the perfect man and Beth is the woman we all hope to be. Jake goes after Beth with a New Year’s Eve kiss and doesn’t give up until she is his. Beth can’t stop thinking about that kiss and doesn’t want to pursue Jake if it meant nothing to him. Jake and Beth fall hard and fast for each other even though they were friends before the kiss. A quick - yet amazing kiss - on New Years Eve gets this amaxin story between Jake and Beth started.

Jake is the hot flirty bartender at Southern. Beth works and runs a bakery called Southern Delights. They have been friends for a while, but Beth has always thought Jake as one of those guys who had tons of one night stands and flirts with everyone. After months of thinking about that kiss and avoiding Southern, and Jake, Beth ends up at Southern once ag

I am giving this book 5 stars.

I liked this book it was a honest good romantic book. Honestly sometimes you need a good love story where there just a real love that has a man who is just so kind, sweet, and loving and the character Jake was all of those things and more. Of course I fell in love with Beth character she was smart, beautiful, independent, and of course knew she would never settle for an

This is book 2 in the Sweet on You series. It's a standalone story. However, Savannah and Parker are mentioned in this story and had there own romance in book 1. It's a love story so grab a bottle of wine and glass and get comfortable because this is going to be a journey you are going to enjoy and appreciate.

Jake and Beth have known each other for many years, but never developed a friendship, even though they have great friends in common. In Beth's vision, Jake is a womanizer who loves to flirt with her, even though she always responds with acidity and irony.
On the New Year’s Eve in the Southern, a local bar, Beth finds herself alone, surrounded by couples and hoping for a midnight kiss. It turns out that, in the last seconds of the year, she closes her eyes to make her requests and thank the univer

This is book 2 in the Sweet on You series; This story is supposed to be read as a stand alone but in my opinion, really you need to read book 1 to understand fully the storyline of book2.
Beth is sitting alone at a bar when she meets the bartender named Jake. Its New Year’s Eve and there is no one there she knows-they are all celebrating but her. Here we see Beth feel like her job is all she has going for her { she is a baker with Savannah} and that’s it=no one else waiting for her. So as she get

Months after a quick kiss on New Year’s, Beth is still thinking obsessing about the kiss and why it she can’t get it out of her mind. She has known Jake for years and as a bartender at Southern he is quite the flirt, but she doesn’t know what to make of “the kiss”. She has been avoiding him for months thinking he probably hasn’t thought twice about it, but then he admits that he is not a one night stand kind of guy and he is not just after her because she pushes him away and they fall fast and h ...more

Beth is alone in a bar surrounded by everyone yelling "Happy New Year" and couples are experiencing their first kiss of the year. Everyone but Beth, she is standing alone, eyes closed, taking a deep breath and then hands cradle her face and lips touch hers. Reading this book takes me back to my southern roots. It’s sweet, heartwarming, and very romantic. Everything about Whiskey Nights makes you want to go grab a southern guy and make him yours. Did I happen to mention this is romantic? I loved the characters and they are so realistic, I felt if they were real, we would be friends. I love when a book does that.

I absolutely loved this book! From the very beginning I was hooked, and with each page, I fell even more in love with this story and its characters – I never wanted to put it down. This is book two in the Sweet on You series, but can be read as a stand-alone.

Beth is a fabulous heroine – she is strong, she is sassy, and she loves her whiskey! I don’t even drink the stuff, but after reading this, I wanted to!  Jake is a swoon-worthy book boyfriend – he’s handsome, he’s a smart ass, and he is, mos

As I sip my bourbon this evening--something I've been waiting for since I started this book I may add--I have to give some thought to this second book of a series. It works as a standalone and it is pure romance. PURE Romance with a side of Kentucky Mules (for which I bought a fresh lime to enjoy after I write this review!) Sometimes, after reading a lot of romances--erotic, suspenseful, comedic, dramatic--it is a real shock to the system to read a quiet novel about a relationship building. I fe ...more

Beth is tired of being alone but doesn't want to put herself out there. On New Year's Eve she gets a kiss unexpectedly from Jake the flirty bartender from her local watering whole. It's the best kiss of her life but he walks away like it was nothing. So what's a girl to do but avoid him. She thinks he's a player but maybe he's just all about her. This was a great love story. Friends to lovers, second chance love too.

Beth is an independent and strong woman. Jake is the flirt, or Beth thinks he is. It starts with New Year's Eve and one kiss. Neither of them can forget about it.
Jake finally makes a move again. Beth isn't sure. They start out hot. Jake is just the sweetest of guys.
