"A story that truly explores the American system not just from an insider's viewpoint, but from the very real experiences of human beings ... and yes, add a dose of romance to the political cocktail: it's just what this drink needs to make it perfect!" declares the Midwest Book Review.

What Makes It Worthy is a brilliant tell-all about the tabloidization of American politic

This book was just ... wow!! Yup, one of those - where your brain just can't even function when it's all over. I've spent all day trying to recover from the story just so I could write up this review, and even now, I still can't get my thoughts in order enough to be coherent.

The story is basically a look into politics and how much of a hand the media has in it, not just of it's own doing, but the way it's used by people in each party - and outside influences - to make things more "tabloid." The

In David Paul Kuhn's What Makes It Worthy, we follow political journalists Taylor Solomon and Cait Ellis on the campaign trail of Democratic primary candidate Joseph Girona and the Republican's Constance Wallace. Taylor Solomon is one of the Washington Current's young stars, and Cait Ellis is with the New York Times, forever dogged by the legacy of her retired mother Erin Ellis, a renowned international correspondent. David Paul Kuhn takes us through the meteoric rise of Girona, a Lothario who p ...more

What Makes it Worthy is a book I can honestly say that I probably never would have read on my own. I read so many different types of books but there are still several genres that I tend to shy away from, one of which is political fiction and/or thrillers. No specific reason for this, just never felt drawn to books full of politics or the political world. Recently, one of my favorite bloggers asked if I’d like to participate in the blog tour for this book and I almost declined. But then I thought ...more

What Makes It Worthy is labeled political fiction, but it touches on many other genres - romance, contemporary fiction, drama. The depth of this plot is phenomenal. Not only does the author give readers a realistic look into the layout of a major campaign, but also the the lives of journalists working in different levels of media.

I adore Cait. She is a solid female character, but we see her weaknesses and how she overcomes them. The love story between Cait and Taylor is refreshing and balances
