A book for the "hardcore" Scrabble player. Contains all the words, with hooks and anagrams presented in "size" order. (2 letter words to 8 letter words). An excellent reference, as far as a book goes. However, these days handheld electronic devices are more useful for studying.

Bob's bible has it's roots in what I'd call Scrabble's renaissance period. Today's overachievers in competitive scrabble can use study software which will achieve what only hand-generated flash cards once did.
It should be noted that a small number of elite scrabblers' work (which was obviously very tedious) has been widely published and has become a real fabric on which most serious players base their study. This book is just one handy tool you can use to get better at scrabble, but if you were to only get one book on Scrabble, this isn't it.
This book is a REFERENCE work. Use it to find HOOKS, among other uses. Hooks range from the artful yet elementary making of CON into ICON to the positively unusual:
"Non- 's' Rear Hooks creating 9-letter words" reads the title of one section.
Updated in 2006 for the TWL 2 word source.
