In this special keepsake volume, LIFE takes you to sites prominent in both the Old and New testaments, explaining during our journey the interwining histories of the two of the world's great Judaism and Christianity.
Life was an American magazine published weekly from 1883 to 1972, as an intermittent "special" until 1978, and as a monthly from 1978 until 2000. During its golden age from 1936 to 1972, Life was a wide-ranging weekly general interest magazine known for the quality of its photography.
My mother gave me this book for Christmas as we are scheduled to go on a trip to the Holy Land at the end of March this year. It has beautiful pictures and follows the Bible's timeline with a narrative taken partially from the Bible. The narrative is primarily focused on the Christian Bible but also acknowledges the other two major religions rooted in the area - Judaism and Islam.
