I absolutely love anthologies. I feel it gives me a great introduction to different authors. Fourteen authors have put their own twists on our much loved fairy tales. This in return gave us a perfect collection of short wonderful gems.

Although some of these stories are not genres I normally read I pretty much devoured and enjoyed them all.

I'll certainly be stalking I mean looking into quite a few of these authors and their books.

If your looking for something different that may push you into g

What a fantastic collection of creatively rewritten tales. I absolutely recommend this collection to EVERYONE.

There are a few of these stories that struck a chord with me, and I want to give them specific shout outs.

Uncloaked, A Reimagining of Little Red Riding Hood by Wendy Owens
- This is a whole new spin on LRRH and I adored how the author was able to pull a well-known tale and pull it into one of my favorite worlds - Faery.

Blayze & Ash, A retelling of Beauty an the Beast by Jessica Sorenson

5 Crazy Ass Stars!!!!!

I've been curious to read this particular subgenre for a while so when I was presented with a chance to sign up to review for the blog tour, I jumped at it. I absolutely love what I've read from the collection. Below is a quick review of each story in the order that I've read them.

Rell by Amy Daws was a great twist on one of my all time favorite fairytales.
Caged by LP Dover gave me new perspective on Rapunzel and I got to say I like this adult version.

Hey guys! Today I am reviewing Fairy Tale Confessions

I was so excited to receive and review this book. One because I love retelling and I was so excited to see all of the amazing ladies spin on the tales I grew up with. Secondly two of my favorite authors wrote a story for this anthology and I couldn't wait to get the chance to read them.

I came into this anthology with no knowledge about the other authors in this anthology in hopes that I would like their short stories and come out with some new

This is a fantastic compilation of stories for those who are lovers of the fairy tale classics we have all grown up with. These authors have a wondrous knack for taking the fairy tales near and dear to our hearts and twisting them into deliciously dark or seductively romantic tales that make us fall in love with them all over again. There were paranormal twists to favorites like Sleeping Beauty and the Twelve Dancing Princesses and we even were able to fall in love with a certain sexy handsome i ...more

It's more 2.5 stars

I was expecting something more from this one... because it's a book full of retelling, how could not I?
There was something good in here, but not so much.

Unloacked 2.5 the idea was really good and original, and the stalker lycan was fantastic! But the ending was sooooo plain!

Blayze & Ash 3 it was not bad and the characters seem good but it wasn't original or really good.

Dance with me 3. It was ok.

The little mermaid 2.5 plain and boring.

Awakened 2.5 I really can't remember this

Fairy Tale Confessions is the retelling of fourteen classic fairy tales. All of these stories were amazing. I seriously could not put down my iPad because I wanted to finish these stories. Each story made their specific fairy tale their own with a modern take on it and the authors did not disappoint. Each author made their own story unique and stand out. What I liked the best was the strong female characters. More stories need strong female characters.

I truly enjoyed them all. I will confess th

Fairy Tale Confessions gives you fourteen entertaining twists on fairy tales we all remember from our past. It is the perfect read, especially for this time of year, for those who are fans of supernatural or paranormal elements to go along with your romances. Elements of dark also turn up in theses shorts, making them very much for the adult.

This is a must read, again – because I enjoy Autumn and Halloween, I think it is a perfect read for this time of the year. It’s hard to pick which stories s

I give this 4 Cat's Tales Up, While I enjoyed some of the tales, there were other that weren't my taste and that's okay. You can't like all fairy tales.

Fairy Tale Confessions is a collection of classic bedtime fairy tales that have been given a modern twist. The authors that have taken on these stories have had big boots to fill, but they have all done so exceptionally well.

Rell – Amy Daws

Everyone loves a good love story, everyone loves when the underdog comes out on top and every girl ever loves the story of Cinderella. They all want the fairy tale romance, what Amy has delivered is just that… a modern day telling of a bedtime classi

I was given an ARC book for an honest review free of persuasion from the author or anyone else affiliated with this book.

I would like to say I do not do anthologies. I despise them. No one can seem to get them right. This book -- This anthology was so different and so much better. I loved how each author took the fairy tales we grew up with and twisted them into deeper/darker/adult versions of your own little fairy tale fantasy.

What made them even better were the 14 fantastic writers. They see

Fairy Tales Made Twisted and Awesome!
I enjoyed this book so much. There is literally something for every reader in here. Not only have I found some new authors to love but the twists on these fairy tales is amazing. While each author has done a twist on a fairy tale, some going way outside the box, some making them ultra modern, each author has their own style and flair, adding twists, sexiness, evil and magic, which when blended in with the other talented authors makes for an amazing compilatio

I like books that this that has several different style of writing and stories. Some stories I liked more then others and that just comes down to personal taste. You can tell all the authors worked hard on developing their characters and still holding some elements of the original in there. Great work to all the authors!
I recommend this book for everyone to give it a chance. You are bound to find a story that speaks to you in this collection. I did buy this book because Im familiar with one au

Fairy Tale confessions is amazing!! Each story is short, but incredibly well written. Its amazing how much you can fall in love with the characters in such a short time. My favorites were Blayze and Ash by Jessica Sorensen and Caged by LP Dover. Both stories are so engaging you won't want them to end. You get sucked in so deep! Seriously, get this book! Fairy Tale Confessions is perfect if you love romance, fairy tales, magic, mystery, and/or evil villains! There isn't a bad story in the bunch!

This book was amazing!! Not only because I found some new authors to love, but the twist on these fairytales is genius!! I of course had my favorites, but there were all just so good! I’m impressed with the imagination and talent on how the stories were twisted, making me think “that was so much better than the original!” OK I am going to give a teeny tiny, abbreviated thought on each story ;) but I really enjoyed the writing style of all the authors, even if I didn’t like the story.

Not Disney Fairy Tales, But Sooo Much More . . .

Everyone loves a good Fairy Tale and these 14 amazing authors delivered twisted, beautiful, passionate, contemporary and magical renditions of timeless classics. Having all these crazy novellas put together in one set is a "Dream Come True" and should be grabbed up immediately for your enjoyment. These short tales leave you wanting more and more.

This is an incredible book. It thoroughly enjoyable to read, and there are plenty of different characters to love, or hate. There is an impressive amount of talent in the fourteen authors who wrote these stories. Each gives new life to old (and sometimes even older) fairy tales. The voices of their characters are distinct, yet each story feels like it belongs with the whole. Some authors write way outside

It's a great book! I wasn't so sure how Fairy Tales retold as paranormal romance would be. Each author used the basics of a well known Fairy Tale & rewrote it so it had elements of the original but with romance as the ending (except for one tale). Each tale was totally different and I couldn't wait to read the next story. 14 authors and 14 tales. My copy came signed by all the authors!

~~I received this in exchange for my honest opinion~~

If you THINK you know the stories that you grew up with, you are wrong. Man, reading this collection of fairytales, sure made me look at the stories very differently, it definately wasn't the stories that I grew up with after I read this book. Each author that is in the book makes the stories that they write come to life. You get pulled into their stories and you live there until the story is done. Much like when you were a child, but this ver

This was a fun book! I love fairytales but these were not the stories of the fairytales I grew up with.
Some of them are a bit dark, some are slightly twisted, and some just take the story to a whole new magical level.. Each author has brought a different prospective to an old tale and it was very enjoyable.
I enjoyed the book as a whole. The Little Mermaid and the Rumplestitskin were the stand out favorites for me. I will definitely be looking up some of these authors because of their ability to

I read Jacklyn and the Beanstalk and plan to read the other stories from Fairy Tale Confessions. Jacklyn and the Beanstalk is written by Mary Ting, who is fabulous. Her twist and take on the old story Jack and the Beanstalk is a completely new take and one I have not read before. She really had me glued from the beginning and then it was over!!! I wanted, NO NEEDED more!!! I mean there was sexy vampires, and even hotter monster slayers who wouldn't want more? I can't wait to see what else there ...more

I love the idea of this collection, and some of the retellings were very original in their twists. Some of the stories were rather darker and gorier than I expected - call me a sap, but I prefer happy endings, which some stories had, and others did not. Also, it could've used a stronger edit, both in sentence structure, and in line edits. If your the type of person who gets you're panties in a twist about those kinds of misspellings (*raises hand*), then they might distract from your enjoyment o ...more

• Uncloaked – Wendy Owens
A thrilling take on Little Red Riding Hood. I loved the characters and would love to see more of their world!
• Blayze & Ash – Jessica Sorenson
The story was beautiful and romantic. I didn’t care for Ash through most of the story but by the end I think I liked him better.
• The Little Mermaid – K.R. Wilburn

What a fun anthology! Fourteen of today's most exciting indie authors have brought us this collection of twisted Fairy Tales. Some added a darker element to their classic tale and some gender-bended theirs or updated it a bit. But, however it was achieved, each story succeeded in enthralling me and left me wanting more. I will definitely be reading more from each of these authors!

I was provided with a copy of Fairytale Confessions in exchange for an honest review. These short stories are absolutely wonderful. They are captivating and alluring, but I have to say that I love dark fairytales. The darker, the better—in my opinion! Wow. Just wow. This is a solid line up of stories. The voices and writing had me intrigued from the first story and continued on through the rest of the book. These short stories takes remnants of your favorite fairy tales but the authors twists and turns them and maybe flips them upside down in their own way. I freaking loved it. I enjoyed how each author made it their own and sometimes with a more modern twist with a nod to the darker Grimm versions.
