I was a wife.
I was a mother.
Now... I’m a Madam.

I had a loving family. A husband and son who I adored until they were tragically ripped from me. Something inside me died the same time they did. My heart stopped beating. I had to become stronger, tougher. I had to close down my emotions and become someone entirely different to who I was before.

I became the Violet Widow.

Wow! The Violet Widow is not for the weak of heart. It is an emotional roller coaster, and I loved the ride but sure used a lot of tissues as this story is raw, tragic, spiritual, and hot with words grab your soul.

Violet Dyson's family was ripped apart on what started out as a normal day...a tragedy that made her life hopeless and full of despair. The only way to survive, was to turn into someone else. Erase the feelings. Focus on strength. Never shed a tear again. Be The Violet Widow.

The Violet Widow #1 of the Shattered Heart Series by K E Osborn

The Violet Widow made me cry so hard from the prologue, I sobbed along with this poor woman who lost it all, and I mean her everything, oh, it still upsets me to think about it, heart broken I was!
Well thank goodness that was just the beginning of this amazing story. I love TVW hard.
So what else can a woman do after such a tragedy? Of course change her whole life, the way she thinks about herself and the way she lives it.

This is my favorite of K.E. Osborn's book to date, which is saying a lot because I love all of her books. I fell in love with Violet in the Prologue, when both our hearts were ripped out. I knew, then, that I would love this book, and K.E. did not disappoint.

Who knows what you would do if you lost everyone you loved on one awful day? Violet decides that in order to survive, she has to become a new person. In order to survive, she must do things she never thought she would do and that she must N

Holy Moly. 1st chapter in and I'm a mess. I mean the feels in this book are just beyond heartbreaking. I had to message the author after that first chapter just to scream why......???
I don't get so emotionally attached to the books very often but when a great author comes along with an outstanding story I just can't help but live in the life of the characters.

You meet Violet Dyson. Married to Danny and they have a son named Caiden who is 5 and about to start school. They were high school sweethe

I am giving this review on behalf of Kats Book Promotions/ Katsindiebookblog. This book is very intense, but in a good way. What would happen if you lived that perfect life and all of a sudden a tragedy hit and took everything you've ever known? Violet lived that life, married her high school sweetheart and had a great son. Now she has stuck herself in a world she never thought she would be in. Granted she turned it into a career over the years and has become profitable, but at what cost?
On her

This is a truly beautiful and emotional story. The author throws you in at the deep end with the prologue. My heart broke for Violet. The author has such a great way with words that I felt I was going through the heartache with Violet.

One tragic night leaves Violet devastated. After that night she vows never to get too close to anyone again. On the fifth anniversary of that dreadful night she goes out to get drunk. Here she meets Rock. Will she let Rock get close? Can he break down her barriers

We start off with the prologue where we meet the Violet Widow, not learning her name though, but how she became who and what she is. What befell her life and changed her. We also meet Hudson Stone, who is a man dedicated to his work, whatever that may be and that he is out for Vengeance. It was everything I could do to try to not cry at the end of the first chapter of this book. It appears to be one of those books that tissues will be needed on hand for just in case. Suddenly everything makes se ...more

The Violet Widow is the first book in The Shattered Heart Series. It is a very strong start that has drawn me in and made me want more, giving me the need to read the second book in the series.

Violet is dealt a devastating and life altering hand at the beginning of the book. I was in tears while reading the first few chapters, because I could relate to Violet as a mother. The loss and devastation pulled at my heart. Moving forward several years, Violet has become a new person, The Violet Widow.

KE Osborn really knows how to get your emotions going, ripping out your heart and wondering how the characters life can turn around.. and that's just the prologue. When were first introduced to Violet, she has experienced something no one should ever have to. In one night, everything she knows and loves is gone. Her life shattered. How can she move on when she has lost so much?

"My racing heart stops beating with a thud and my mouth drops open wide. I shake my head slightly, hoping I haven't he

I really enjoyed the Prologue… it had my heart hurting and hoping for Violet.

And for her to hold on to what was left, she did something she never thought she would….. And in order for her to move forward, she became someone else….

The crying stops here! No more being the woman I was.
I am no longer a wife and a mother.
I am a loner.
A no-one.
And if I am to survive in this world I need to become someone else.
Someone tougher.
Someone stronger.
Someone without feeling or emotion.
Someone who do

This is the first in the Shattered Hearts Series by author KE Osborn. This lady, wow what can I say she certainly knows how to write an amazing story.

From the minute I picked up this book, I couldn’t put it down. From the very start this book broke my heart; I don’t ever want to know what it would feel like to suffer such grief. And the actions Lettie took to survive were brave yet stupid. Lettie or the Violet Widow as she likes to be known was a strong character for the most part, but had some

I was given an ARC for an honest review. Author K E Osborn has done it again. She rocked this first book in a two part series. I tell you even in the preview of the book she doesn't give you much. That's how the book is.. It's grabs you from the first page and just keeps you on the edge of your toes trying to figure out the secrets that TVW and Rock were keeping from each other. Kimberly doesn't give it away and keeps making you turn another page to find out when they will reveal their pasts and ...more

I was drawn into The Violet Widow as soon as I started reading the prologue. In fact, I cried and began speculating on what would happen next. Fast forward, five years. That’s when things started to get strange.
Although I enjoyed reading The Violet Widow, I spent most of the time in the dark. I had so many questions. What was her name? She now owns a business, but what is it? However, there were enough clues to work it even if it took me a while. Who is Rock? What is his job? I had my suspicions

Through the book you don't know much about the characters, but you learn little bits and bobs throughout their story.
