Chris Almeida (also known as C. Almeida) began writing children’s stories at a very young age. Born in Brazil but currently living in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Chris’ life took a totally different course when technology came into play, and the following 17 years were spent delving deep into the world of programming and web design.
It was in 2010, when Chris began role playing online as a hobby, that writing wormed its way back into the picture. This time, writing storylines for the role playing group.
The ideas and plots created for the game awoke the inner writer and a few months later, together with partner in crime C. Aubrey, began writing erotic romance.
Now, still together, they have written a number of short stories and novel. They are currently working on book three of their series as well as several short stories. Through it all they have continued to enjoy role playing through their favorite characters.

Almost to hot and steamy for a review. Trevor likes to start "trouble" with Cassie while she is away on a business trip. Cassie loses all sense of herself when it comes to her husband. When he sends hot text messages while she is away the trip back to the hotel becomes very risque even in front of her limo driver. I thought my kindle was again going to burst into flames. I love reading these little bits of life about Trevor and Cassie. If you love Trevor and Cassie then so worth the read.

If you’ve ever paid attention, you know that RomSuspense isn’t a favorite genre of mine, but Almeida and Aubrey smashed through that reluctance I have for reading that genre into teeny tiny shards. I adore their Countermeasure series, and love the characters for their smarts, their loyalty and their love. Even the recurring characters that annoy the heck out of me (Nathan), I remember and want to make justifications for their behavior.

Part of the hook that holds me so tightly to this series is the two selections of ‘shorts’ that peep in on different characters in their ‘down time’, giving us a glimpse at their private moments, their relationship struggles and the connection that binds them together. These short stories are loaded with emotion and heat: both fueling the other to the nuclear range.

In Roaming Pleasures, the latest Bits of Life short, Cassie and Trevor are apart. They don’t do well apart: these two truly are halves of a coin, and proximity is the touchstone to which they find solace, warmth, acceptance and focus. With Cassie working in the states while Trevor takes care of business at home in Dublin, he’s restless and sleepless. Work can only put off thoughts of her for, oh, a nanosecond, even deep in code he is always attuned to the lack of her presence.

Total technophile that he is, he starts setting a scene, via text, that he hopes she will find intriguing, as he puts his fantasies to work on Cassie’s limited resolve where he is concerned. Far more than a racy (think Formula One or Bugatti-level racy here) exchange, this quick alternating POV story shows that being away from home doesn’t always mean lonely AND unsatisfied! These shorts give you a voyeur’s viewpoint into a relationship that ticks all the boxes on every level, even though you are seeing just a small snippet of time. Longing, desire, enjoyment and playfulness are highlights of this short, giving readers a moment of OOH that will take some serious time to come down from. It’s been 3 years since I read the first book, and while I don’t always remember every plotting detail, I can’t let go of these characters or stop wondering just what will be next for them. The Bits and Bytes keep me fueled with nibbles of information that answer questions while I wait.

I received an eARC copy of the title from the publisher via Substance B for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Holy crap! Roaming Pleasure by Chris Almeida and Cecilia Aubrey has me speechless. Seriously. I sat here for about 5 minutes trying to put into words the feelings I had about this extremely sexy short story (or maybe I was trying to let my heart rate return to normal). The heat in this little Bit of Life is off the charts and main characters Trevor and Cassandra aren’t even together. It goes to show that you don’t have to be with the one you love in person to feel the love emotionally and physically.

If you had told me what Roaming Pleasure was really going to be about, I would have wondered how the authors could write it in a way to make it hot and not awkward. Almeida and Aubrey have a way of pulling so much emotion out of the reader that you can’t help but get caught up in the scene right along with the characters, forgetting everything else. Oh, and it was 100% not awkward. Are you curious yet?

Roaming Pleasure has Trevor and Cassandra (main characters from the Countermeasure Series) apart since Cassandra is on a business trip to the United States while Trevor is back home in Ireland. They miss each other. Terribly. Trevor decides to describe to his wife just how much. Cassandra receives his messages in a less than private location but is still affected just the same.

Almeida and Aubrey are able to take such an incredibly personal act, wrap you into the story and leave you feeling as though you just experienced the same thing as the characters. Quite talented of them.

I don’t want to give too much else away or it will ruin this short story for you. If you have read the Countermeasure books and know Trevor and Cassandra, you will want to read Roaming Pleasure. It has the same great writing, stimulating story line and passion between the characters we all love. If you haven’t read the Countermeasure books yet, then this will be a nice sample for you. It shows you the emotional writing with which Almeida and Aubrey bring to everything they create and you get a glimpse into the relationship between Trevor and Cassandra. I highly recommend you give it a try.

In Roaming Pleasure, Cassie Bauer is traveling on business to consult on a case at the CIA,  leaving Trevor at home to hold down the fort. The first day Cassie is gone, Trevor immerses himself on a case for the NSA but once that is done,  he suddenly misses his wife even more acutely. Everything in their home reminds him of her. He can't look out the window without thinking of her. He can't go to their favorite pub without missing her companionship. Trevor is just miserable. A late night commercial on TV gives him an idea and Cassie finds herself on the receiving end of some steamy international texts.

It's no secret that I am a stalker, I mean, huge fan of these authors. Almeida and Aubrey are one of the best authors out there in romantic suspense  Their passion for their craft flows through every word they write,  leaving readers demanding more.

When I first read the premise of this short, I was a little worried that Trevor might go all crazy and send Cassie one of THOSE pictures. We all know Trevor loves his wife and that they have a very, very active sex life. No worries though. The Alpha Geek uses his golden tongue to craft some seriously steamy messages to  his girl. This quick read will take you from okay to squirming in your seat in minutes  (and unfortunately leaves you wanting more. What did Cassie say to Trevor on the phone when she got to the hotel?)

If you haven't read any of this series,  please go grab your ereader right now and download all of the books. Just make sure you have no plans because the Bauers will suck you into their world and won't let you go.

As with everything these authors write, Roaming Pleasure, though a short, quick read, captures you from page one and draws you in to the point you forget your just a reader. Roaming Pleasure finds Trevor and Cassie apart from each other for the first time since landing in Ireland, and as with any whole made up of pieces, when a piece is missing the rest doesn't work as it should.

Trevor has too much time on his hands with Cassie away on an assignment...even after completing all work tasks, and a bit of social fun, he still can't seem to function well without her. Finding what he thinks will "kill two birds with one stone", he starts a bit of "naughty" play via text (sexting) which when received by Cassie, at a complete wrong place (logistically) still gets these two back in sync...even hundreds of miles apart!

As always, the style of writing these authors use for the erotic (I myself am not a fan of Erotica, but find that theses authors use a good measure of class when including these types of scenes, thereby making the reading pleasurable) scenes between Trevor and Cassie are so much of who the couple are...that not for a moment do you see it as anything but what it is, two people who love each other demonstrating it in their own unique fashion.

If you haven't already read any of the other books by these authors, I'm positive that Roaming Pleasure will start you on the journey of discovering their other works.

A wickedly sexy, hot little story…

This is a short story in the Countermeasure series. We are given a glimpse into a bit of time in the lives of Cassandra and Trevor Bauer. The couple are separated for the first time since they were married and missing each other terribly.

Cassandra is in the United States assisting the CIA while Trevor is at home in Ireland. Trevor doesn’t know what to do with himself outside of work, everywhere he goes and everything he does brings him memories of the wonderful moments he's spent with his wife. With a little technological help Trevor reaches out to his wife, letting her know just how much he misses her and what thoughts of her do to him. And though they are separated by a continent Cassandra takes pleasure in the connection.

This is a wickedly sexy, hot little story so appropriate to the personalities of these characters. It’s also very sweet how deep their love is for each other and how they can make each other feel it from afar.

Trevor and Cassandra Bauer have rarely spent a night apart, since their joyous wedding. However, when business calls Cassie back to the United States, Trevor is left at home to continue working on their current case. He misses his wife dearly and being alone allows him to express his wickedness in a unique way by taking matters into his own hands. Will Cassie approve of Trevor's antics?

Roaming Pleasure is the latest Bit in this spicy sub-series that shows intimate moments in Trevor and Cassie's married life. This book is aimed at mature audiences ready for a fast, hot read. Though this novella works great as a quick escape of its own, fans of the Countermeasure Series will smile at Trevor's charms and quirks shown from the opening dedication to the final heated moments. This is yet another must read from this writing duo.

Chris Almeida and Cecilia Aubrey just blew my mind away with this story. Y
Yes it's short and I wished it just kept going. It was steamy and hot and okay
steamy and hot are basically the same word but I just don't know what else
to say. They definately made the time Trevor and Cassandra were apart special
and just WOW. Taxi rides were never that much fun for me *grins*

Almeida and Aubrey have this way about them. When they write, their characters
are just so believable, I feel like when I read one of their books I can actually
see what they are describing. They never disappoint when I read one of their books.

If you've read the Countermeasure books then you will just LOVE Roaming Pleasure.
If you're a first time reader then welcome, you are going to love love love them.

I was given the opportunity to get an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

This is an Erotic Romance Short Story.

Cassandra is called away on business in the United States. Trevor has a work project that needs to be finished around their home in Ireland. When that project is completed, Trevor feels incomplete without his other half. His heart, soul, and body ache for Cassandra.

I love how Trevor finds a way to convey his emotions to Cassandra through his techie world. Even more interesting is how Cassandra responds.

Warning: This book is for Mature Audiences due to adult language and explicit sexual situations.

Inappropriate Review....

Have you ever read a scene and just wished it was an audio so you can get off on its HOTNESS? If not then I suggest you pick this book up and experience the raging erotic euphoria in which Trevor delivers in this short.

If everyone had a mind like them or the love with sexual tension and desire they share the world would be overly populated. This was a written orgasm plain and simple. It displayed the love in which everyone crave in a form of speech-to-text.

HOT HOT HOT!! This needs to come with the warning label "Do Not Read in Public"! This short story involves the two main characters in the Countermeasure series. Trevor is at home in Ireland while Cassandra has travelled to the U.S. on business. He is really missing her and decides to sext her. While this story is part of a series, new readers can pick it up and enjoy it even if they haven't read the other books.

Wow...just wow. I can't even begin to say how completely hot this short was. I now worship the ground C&C walk on! They can write hot...but sexting has never been this hot. I think I may have broken out in a sweat, while standing in front of the open freezer door.
Seriously, this duo is unstoppable, after reading the Countermeasure Series I have definitely become a fan of their brand of sensual heat.
Trevor & Cassie are separated by a business trip and Trevor can't keep himself busy enough to keep his thoughts off his wife and her "assets". He lets his fingers do the talking sending her an eye popping message that has Cassie thinking quickly and breaking out into a sweat. Will Cassie return the favor? Or will heat consume her?
If you want to see Trevor's writing skills and imagination put to a test, then you'll need to take a peek in Roaming.

**An ARC in exchange for an honest review**

One word to describe this short story: H-O-T... Hot! Cassandra and Trevor are a married couple who have basically never spent a night awothout each other. Trevor misses her so he texts her which begins the story. Usually I'd think of Trevor's character as clingy, but nope! Not in this short story. I love the fact that they are both still very much attracted to each other and they don't hide this fact. However, the only downside is that this story is super short. I want more on these two! Great story and can't wait to read more from this author!

Though short and sweet I enjoyed this story a lot. It was cute and fun. After reading this novella I feel like I should go and read the resg of the series. This was a well written story and I found the characters to be very likeable.

As all the Bits of Life this Bit is hot and Cassie releases without even worrying about where she is. Trevor does she do unimaginable things in her life before him.
