Sweet Makers! This was so much fun to read. A great contrast in tone from the other novella in the series as this is a lighthearted walk down memory lane of Corrine's love life with Ardin and how Bree comes into their lives...things get quite tense towards the end though I won't spoil it for you. If you think you don't need to read this, you're wrong. Go on, now! :)

Such a short story but so chock full of emotions! What a lovely prequel. Now that it took me back, I cannot wait for the next book in the story!

I loved the episodic structure of the story and the 'fairytale romance beyond HEA' element. I didn't love how many gaps and unanswered questions were involved. Sure, it's a short prequel that should avoid spoilers, but it simply felt too unfinished to enjoy fully.

5 stars!

This ‘Threats of Sky and Sea’ novella takes place before the start of book 1, however, I recommend reading book 1 first, for greater understanding and appreciation.

This is the tale of Lady Corrine, Duke Ardin’s wife, how she met Ardin, how he stole her breath away, in the romantic sense, and what happened such that Corrine and Bree never met. A must-read for ‘Threats of Sky and Sea’ readers.

Currently available for free as part of the Kindle Unlimited program.

Seeing how Bree's mum and dad met and came to be together was just the sweetest thing ever, okay? I loved every second of this book. I honestly could have read more about these two, they were just so fluffy and adorable!

Ahhh...loved this prequel and learning more about the beginnings of this story. If you have read this series make sure you pick this novella up as it provides a glimpse of Bree's parents that I wasn't expecting.

This is a very short novella, telling the story of Bree's foster parents.
It was good prequel to the Threats of Sky and Sea.
It gave me some helpful history, but enjoyable just the same.
