Rate this book
Alert and watchful, guide dogs effortlessly perform daily acts of quiet heroism. In Guide Dogs, young readers will follow stories of real dogs successfully helping their visually impaired human companions. Packed with anecdotes of dogs in action—from leading a human friend up the stairs to avoiding a speeding truck—Guide Dogs follows dogs through training school to the first day on the job with their new human partners. With the single goal of helping people achieve success, all that these dogs ever want is a friendly pat on the head and the simple words, "Good dog."

while the book contains interesting and informative pictures, the subject matter is disjointed and random in its presentation.
