When Aspen and her sister are caught in a flash flood, they rescue their two friends and discover that it was not " adrenaline" that helped them all stay alive. Their parents have kept secrets from them about their heritage. They belong to a group descended from fairies, but many of the powers were lost. They are there to protect mankind.

This revelation leads to a lot of action and danger. Trouble has been brewing in their homeland and the family must band together to stop the evil Queen.

Paranormal isn't my typical go-to genre, but I did enjoy this story. I thought the author did a great job of building this new world. Some books take forever to set the stage and introduce the types of characters that live in this setting, but this book is done in a way that is not only natural, but doesn't take a lot of time.

Aspen and her older brother, Ash, and younger sister, Willow, discover they have some super crazy powers after a big storm rips through their Texas town. They uncover many

Aspen Everlasting is a fun paranormal romance.  This is the perfect fit for young teens as well as adults who want a clean romance that is entertaining to read.

I'm not always a fan of romances because they feel cheesy sometimes, but there was plenty of humor and teasing that kept the cheesiness at bay.  This quote is from the beginning where the main character, Aspen, and the childhood friend she is developing a crush on named Nate almost drown.  He comes over and hugs her like friends do and

In Aspen Everlasting, we're taken into the world of Evermortals. Aspen discovers she has strength much greater than the average person, and will age much slower as an adult. Her family has the same powers. She also discovers that things have been hidden from her, and all is not as it seems.

Aspen Everlasting is a quick read, and packed full of action and suspense. There's even a romance, and while I admit romance isn't at the top of my reading list lately, I genuinely enjoyed it. It was sweet, an

I love this book so much! It was fantastic! It was so imaginative and different. I've never read anything like it before and it drew me in right away! Cooper’s world building was spot on. Her visuals made it easy to see exactly what she was trying to convey and it just felt like I was in this world with Aspen. I loved it. I know I already say that. But I feel like it needed to be said again. I hope there’s a second one!

What a great novel from a new author! I love discovering these little gems because I know the authors have a great career ahead of them. This book had many endearing qualities. The first is the humor. There were many places I laughed out loud. The second is the amazing relationships she had with everyone around her: Nate, her parents, and especially her siblings. These believable relationships made me connect with Aspen. I found myself experiencing the same emotions with her as she uncovered the ...more

When Aspen and her sister Willow are caught in a flash flood their whole life takes a turn.
They threw their friends to safety and then were able to jump further than they ever had. They just tossed it up to a huge adrenaline rush.

Apsen, Willow and their brother Ash soon realize that their adrenaline rush is not really that. They have strength like they had never had before. This is when the party begins.

Okay, party might be the wrong word, but isn't a party exciting? So, this is where the excit

This is such a fun book! I was not prepared for the wild ride it would take me on from the very beginning.

I loved the way you first meet Aspen, she's a normal 16 year-old, she has a crush on the boy next door and she has some great girlfriends. The first scene where they're playing "Sardines" really grabbed my attention. Then, Aspen ends up having to leave and gets caught in a swollen river in her car with her sister Willow and some friends. That's when the craziness starts happening. Willow is

An engaging book from start to finish

I like a book that draws me in from the first chapter. Aspen Everlasting did that. In my youth during the summer all I did was read. I would finish a book like Harry Potter in one night. Now a busy mom to 3 I don't have that luxury but I found myself taking every extra moment I had to find out what was going to happen next.
This young adult fiction has action, adventure, and romance. I felt as if I got to know the characters well and was a part of Aspen's inn

Loved this book! An amazing story with all of the fun, adventure, comic relief, romance and action you could want. The last several chapters had me staying up way past my bedtime to see what would happen next. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys clean, young adult fiction, with a touch of romance and fantasy thrown in the mix. Can't wait for the next book!

Aspen Everlasting is a YA paranormal book. It would be great for the younger side of YA because the characters are younger and this book is clean.

The pacing of this book is good. I felt like I had time to get to know the characters even when events were moving quickly. This book revolves around Aspen and her family of Evermortals. It's a likable bunch of people and I was interested in their stories and their success. I liked the movement between "worlds" as it gave me a sense of groundi

Aspen and her sister, Willow, are caught in a flash flood with two of Willow's friends. As the car is sinking, Aspen and Willow both find some inhuman strength and kick open windows and well as throw Willow's two friends an incredible distance to safety. Both are very surprised by this strength but chalk it up to adrenaline (we've all heard of the parent who has lifted a car off their child or some story along those lines) so it's not too hard to believe. At least, it's not too hard to believe ...more

Before I give my review, I think it's only fair to say that I've never read a YA novel before. I don't even read a lot of fantasy. I'm more of an action and adventure kind of reader.

With that said, and to be perfectly honest, I thought "Aspen Everlasting" was a terrific read! It was fun! I was a little put out when I finished it because I wanted to keep on going. If there's a sequel, I'll read it.

Yes, of course there was some YA stuff in it, like teenage romance, heartthrobs and BFFs, but the st

I received a digital copy of Aspen Everlasting from Cedar Fort Publishing in exchange for my honest review.

Though I did like this story, I felt that the style and many other details could have used improvement. I suppose my biggest complaint would have to be with the characters’ emotions and reactions. Often how the characters felt or acted didn’t really make sense for the situation, like the parents giving a lengthy explanation of the Evermortals while running for their lives, how the kids inst

This book was great! I read it because I knew the author and found myself in a totally different genre than I usually am - and I ended up LOVING the book! I may have read it slowly but I enjoyed every page! I highly recommend reading this book and hope that there is a sequel in the making eventually.
