I've blogged about my fitness routine, and readers have asked for me to go into more detail about how I have gotten in shape and how I maintain that shape. This work is the result of those requests. It is full of controversial claims, so be warned. I truly believe that if people follow the handful of principles in this short read, they will improve their health and change ...more

Great advice

Concise and well put. Thank you for addressing the constant body shaming in our society. High presents an honest no nonsense way to live healthier.

Hugh Howey's Wayfinding series isn't his highest seller, which in my opinion is a loss to every reader who enjoys this author. It is in this series that you get to know the author on a deeper level. Hugh shares his innermost thoughts of his introspective journey as he sails around the world. I recommend that you read the entire series.

We often look at what Hugh shares online and think it's all fun and games. The Wayfinding series, shares the reality of sailing and the daily struggles one goes th

Hugh Howey on food and fitness

This was good. I just wish there was more. The advice seems solid to me and I started the five Tibetans a few weeks ago based on a tweet by Hugh. I'm looking forward to making more changes based on this book. I wish he had more personal testimony in here, but hey, what he says is simple enough that maybe he didn't need to say more.

Not much applicable to most people, though interesting. Wouldn't have been that hard to include some actual science. Why the ficus on anorexia? I've never, myself, heard anyone respond with the danger of "contracting" anorexia to weight loss suggestions. Weird.

A good, short treatise on diet and fitness. Take your usual fitness book, and distill it down to the essentials, and that's what you have here. There's nothing new here, but it's all good advice.

Loved it.

Loved this small book of Hugh Howey's ideas on food and fitness. I'm going to do it for 3 months and see what happens.

I'm the author of WOOL, a top 5 science fiction book on Amazon. I also wrote the Molly Fyde saga, a tale of a teenager from the 25th century who is repeatedly told that girls can't do certain things -- and then does them anyway.

A theme in my books is the celebration of overcoming odds and of not allowing the cruelty of the universe to change who you are in the process. Most of them are classified
