Well Done

The story had quite a few interesting twists and the main theme: connections, was very well done. I enjoyed the story and, to tell the truth, had a wee bit of difficulty putting it down.

It was quite surprising to find such a novel placed in Canada, and Northern Canada of all places. The numerous references to Canadiana (eg. "toques") made me chuckle, just as did seeing the names of my childhood Hockey Night in Canada heroes "skate" into the chapter for the odd cameo appearance.

The e-version had a little trouble with possibly conversion as from time to time pages and passages would repeat themselves, leading to a little confusion and déjà vu; however, they were minor and didn't particularly detract from the overall enjoyment of the story.

I look forward to reading more from this author should she choose to publish another novel.

Distracting typos

The plot was good but there were too many main characters. I read quite a bit so I am used to the occasional typo. This book is so full of them that it was irritating. It's not that spell check was not ran on the book but the wrong words were used (ie. 'Hear' instead of 'her', a guard was talking to himself, 'and' changed to 'ante'). A good proofreader needs to go thru it and correct the words.

Excellent

I love how all the characters lives intertwined at some point. People you thought were just a passing character had a vital role to play. The narrator had to be my favorite. Just a fly on the wall of life. I look forward to more from this author.

Keeps you wondering if there is more to come.

Good ending keeping it all in this big loop with the child of the couple's murder that set Kane out in that very car looking to kill the nightmares that are killing innocent people.

It was interesting

There are a lot of grammatical errors and the storyline was just ok. For a free book it did keep my interest enough to want to know how it ended.
