I definitely love these books. They are a great sci fi, with romance, action and people who have superpowers. Please check these books because they are worth it.

The Writing:
Similar to the first book I really liked it. It has a great way to keep you in the story and to feel and love the characters.
Again, we have two POVs: Shiray and Syira. Last book was more focused on Shiray and Bryan's relationship (♥) and this one is more focused on Syira and *I was given a copy in exchange of a honest review*

The Writing:

Again, we have two POVs: Shiray and Syira. Last book was more focused on Shiray and Bryan's relationship (♥) and this one is more focused on Syira and Kadeem love story.
At the end, we have two scenes from Kadeem's POV as in the first book we had scenes from Bryan's POV. I loved reading from Kadeem POV. I really like that the book is from Shiray and Syira POVs but its nice to read from the male characters POVs.

The Story:
I love how the beginning and end connect.
This story has so many things, happy and sad, action, romance. It's just a nice box of surprises. We keep reading Bryan and Shiray, you know I love them if you read my review of the first book. But this book is more focused in Syira and Kadeem story, which is so sweet and I loved to read it too but they have more like a 'forbidden' love. Things (or people)from the first book appear again and it was like reading and having the emotions all over again.
I enjoyed the story so much. It keeps you wanting to read more and more.
And the vision! What?! Like, what?! You can't tell me that and then boom, we've to wait. That is unfair.

The Characters:
Shiray: Again, I loved her. I feel I can connect with her more than with Syira. She is brave but cares for everyone, and, who doesn't want a Bryan? I definitely do!
Bryan:I love him, he can be sweet, brave, smart-ass, funny. And as I said in my first review, I would love to see him as a King and Shiray as a Queen.
Syira: I liked her, in this book you get to know her better and it was great. She cares for her family and tries to do what she think is best.
Kadeem: I really like him. He is (sometimes) shy and quiet but I think he is the type of person that when you know him, he is funny and definitely not shy. He's reliable and I loved reading him more.
Nile: Seems like he has found 'the one' but it won't be easy. In the first book we read a lot of Shiray and Bryan, in the second one we read a lot of Syira and Kadeem, maybe in the third book we get to read Nile and his story?

When I finished this book there was a note that it said something about a thir book and a prequel, I want to read them NOW!!!
Seriously, I can't wait to read the next book and know what happens with this story,characters and planets.
I recommend this book to people from 15 years old or more that like sci-fi, superpowers,action and romance.

Fortunately for me, B. Truly is my good friend as well as a beta reader for me. For this reason, I've been able to watch this story unfold from the very beginning.

I was anxious to read this book in its entirety and in the proper order because
A. I love Kadeem.
and
B. This story is darker than the two stories that preceded it.

Even if you haven't read Sonar or Melanie's Evanescent Journey , this book is easy to pick up and read because the characters flash back to what has already happened. Like ...more

Sonar the Cyclone is the second in the Sonar series and, when I started it, I was afraid that it wasn't going to make much sense without reading the first book, but everything fell into place pretty quickly. It does stand on its own but I plan on reading the first book so I can get to know the characters even better.

"Sonar The Cyclone" the successor of "Sonar The Crashing" the author truly has out done herself. There was so much action, drama, and of course love and sex. I look foward to the next novel in the series. I love Syria and Kadeem, definitely my favorite couple in the series. Once again B Truly proves there is always more than one side to every story, though I rather enjoyed reading under Syria and Kadeem's point of view, but that is me being biased. This is the second d book in a series, and though it can be read as a stand alone I would recommend reading the first book before this. I enjoyed the book from beginning to the end. This is a wonderful addition to any library.

On the fence. I loved reading the story of Kadeem and Siriya and think Kadeem is so great. Niles and how he changes when he meets the woman who he likes that is Shiray’s cousin is sweet. Bryan is as wonderful as always. Shiray had a wee issue with. She does the gambit of emotions and her feelings about the king in the end although anger is justified she doesn’t even try to see things through his eyes. His family means more to him that anything else in the world and he would do whatever is necess On the fence. I loved reading the story of Kadeem and Siriya and think Kadeem is so great. His family means more to him that anything else in the world and he would do whatever is necessary to save them and keep them from harm. She needed to see this but doesn’t. Siriya at times was unreasonable as well. I think for these two strong woman they need to learn to see things from different perspectives and even if they do not believe in what someone did or thinks doesn’t mean you don’t respect their thoughts and enter into a discussion.

If you haven’t read the first book it is okay, this book does do flashbacks and catches you up to speed. Kadeem for me is the one character that is redeeming. He has given up his whole world for his love of Siriya. His beliefs that do not meet his father’s and how he goes about helping to stop him is admirable. He is kind and patient and deals with Siriya’s moods wonderfully. He puts so much on the line to be with her. Their son sounds precious and I think needs to be protected more than ever with his powers that he has.

The plot line picks up in the end and shows us that there is some major trouble coming. Some change of the future is needed or we will see some major tragedy in the last book and I hope that the future that is seen doesn’t occur. In this book our plot is about Kadeem and Siriya and how they met and fell in love. After this we have the war and the anger of Shiray towards the King. We have the King’s guilt and desire for peace. We also have the ongoing fighting and trying to save people from Kadeem’s father. This is a interesting book because we have it from the viewpoints of Shiray and Siriya but the epilogues are told through Kadeem’s eyes. To me I would like more of Kadeem and Bryan’s thoughts and maybe Niles as well.

The thoughts of Shiray and Siriya give us insight into how they see the war going, how they feel about their relationships and what is going on around them and is interesting to see. Some of Shiray’s jelaousy and fears are understandable but questionable as well. Some of the actions of Siriya you wonder about and think that she needs to grow up more and she does with the help of Kadeem.

I am not feeling to good on the future aspect and that puts me on the fence. I think that the future seen is a little too much. Sure it gets you antsy and hoping that they can find a way to fix it but it also leaves you wondering why such a future. It ratchets up the danger that is already seen in this war but it also has you feeling uneasy and trying to decide if want to continue and if you can handle seeing that kind of outcome. It puts you in the middle for you want to continue on so you can see the outcome but not wanting to because the future seen is really alot to take in and sad and tragic. Other than this it was a wonderful read. You get to see the romance of Kadeem and Siriya and Bryan and Shiray grow closer. We see Niles fall for someone and change his arrogant ways a little. We see the king and how he is dealing with the war and the guilt he carries. a fast paced interesting tale that has you wondering what the future for these royals will bring.

This was an enjoyable book. I liked the overall plot and the choice of characters. I felt that the two went well together and that the book truly fit in its genre.

I like the main characters a lot, and found myself hoping the best for them. I did feel that they could have evolved more over the book, but perhaps there will be more opportunity for that. That aside, I thought they had good personalities and they really worked well ...more

And in the name of honesty I must confess I am not a huge fan of YA Fantasy. However, the Sci-Fi and Romance aspects of the book’s description were the determining factors for my picking it. Being the second in a series, there were plenty of things going on that were from the first book, but they are well explained, so as not to leave a lot of confusion.

The characters here are not as engaging as I would like, however. I was not drawn into their story and as a result, I had a hard time staying on track.
