Lori Borgman's obituary for the Death of Common Sense that went viral, published in eight countries, is now in book form with marvelous illustrations and new, never-before published profiles on the survivors of Common Sense. Meet his wife, Discretion -- she was a class act that wore pearls, not Mardi Gras beads. Meet their children Responsibility (she played the usual childhood games, Hearts and Crazy 8s, but never the Blame Game or 101 Excuses), their son Reason (he was escorted out of the university by his replacements Feelings and Passion, and the two step-brothers of Common Sense, Half-Wit and Dim-Wit. They excel at good self-esteem and hypocrisy.
This is an oldie but goodie that is even more relative today than when Lori first published it in 2012. Those of you who read her weekly columns will be saying "Amen" with the turn of every page.
