(Source: I received a digital copy of this book for free on a read-to-review basis. Thanks to Limitless Publishing, and NetGalley.)

There wasn’t anything overly wrong with this book, I just lost interest. I didn’t really care about the characters, and even the revelations in the storyline couldn’t keep me interested. I think other people might enjoy this but for me this was a case of wrong person, wrong book.

(I received a copy from Netgalley, In exchange for an honest review.)

The main character wasn't bad, but I didn't love her.

The first chapter of this was interesting, but it went downhill from there unfortunately. I found the rest of it pretty dull, and I just lost interest. I'm glad it was only short.

Overall, Not awful, but I'm glad it didn't take long to get through.

A Killing Among Friends starts off with a mysterious man killing a young girl at a pond. From there we meet Sennie Lacefield , a teenager without a care in the world and her best friend Reatha Alcoker. As the girls are watching the firework show Reatha needs to run in to the restroom promising she'll be right back. After the show is over and Reatha still hasn't returned everyone begins searching. Reatha is not the first missing girl, there have been two others and people are starting to get frig ...more

I liked this story well enough, as the story was quite compelling and the writing style was engaging, but I doubt I would read it again.

The main issue I had with this book is that it was really predictable. I knew who the murderer was from extremely early on, and I'm not typically one who spots this type of thing till near the end, so that's saying something. Aside from that, the story itself was pretty good. If I ignored the fact I knew who the mysterious bad guy was, I was able to enjoy the st

So, I've been dying to read this book ever since I read the description and saw the cover! And...it met all of my expectations! A Killing Among Friends is a dark, cleverly written mystery about a girl named Reatha who mysteriously disappears from a seemingly peaceful mountain lodge. The main character Sennie will stop at nothing to find her best friend. What seems to be a missing persons case quickly turns ugly when bodies start popping up and other girls turn up missing. My favorite thing about ...more

Toni Morrow Wyatt is a new-to-me author.

A Killing Among Friends starts off strong, pulling the reader in and engaging them with good pacing and an easy flowing writing style. As an adult reading a novel geared more toward late teens, I had to suspend belief to fall into the story after solving the mystery early on. I tried to read the rest of the novel through the eyes of it

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

Girls are going missing in small town Arkansas but no one seems to be doing much about it. I found this strange. When Sennie's best friend Reatha goes missing she starts investigating on her own because it is assumed that she ran away to Little Rock.

I really liked the diversity of characters in the small town. The differences between the rich side of town and the poor side were good and we have a pool of suspects from both s

Really good one

This book was really good.I read it in one sitting. Sennie's determination to find her friend and to find out what was happening shines through as you read . I kinda of guessed who the killer was early in hence why I only have 4 stars .I really recommend this book to everyone. Will be reading more from this author .

This book had me hooked from the first page. The cover drew me in, but the story had me flying through the pages. I loved this book. You will too. It's well written with great character development and plenty of twists in the plot.

This was a weird one. For a goodly portion of the story I was convinced it was set in the 50s but then there were a few mentions of what I thought was quite modern day things. It was a little disconcerting. Then there was Sennie's 'investigation'. Which mostly consisted of her declaring she would never give up til Reatha was found, adding or subtracting people from her suspect list based on whether she liked them or not or in one case how clean someone's hands were(That got them off the list).
