I love Jennifer Ashley. I love The Madness of Lord Ian Mackenzie. That book is one of my all times most loved, unforgettable reads. Like top 5 of all times. So When I seen JA had a shifter series I was so excited. I really wanted to love this series. I really wanted it to be my next great find. That series that is so good you just can't put it down. The one you fall madly in love with and stalk the author for each new release. Sadly this series and me need to take a time out. From book one I ha ...more

Audiobook review. The story was solid. The characters, both primary and secondary, were flashed out well with distinct characterization. I enjoyed the build up between Kendrick and Addie. They had good chemistry. It translated well when they finally got together. The cubs were such a cute addition. They really brought the family together. The bit of OW drama, however, was not as welcome. The plot was good. It allowed us insight into previous series couples and expanded upon a greater central plo ...more

The highlight of this book is that the free-collarless shifters will eventually manage to establish their community.

Of course as we learned in book “Bear Attraction”, there already was a free shifters’ community undetectable under the eyes of the humans and the rest of the leaders of the known shifters’ towns.

The events at “Bear Attraction” forced the members of this old community to scatter and most of them to seek for a new leader, while white tiger Kendrick, i.e. their old leader and guardi

Do you enjoy shifter tales but are fed up with the norm? Then why not start this series that has a truly novel way of looking at them. Shifters that originally were I suppose you could say 'pets' of the Fae but now living in the human world and yet still not totally free. Forced to wear collars made by Fae magic that control their more fearsome urges and living or should that be existing in shifter towns. Feared and misunderstood but their desire for freedom could come at a huge cost.

Ashley gives good book! White Tiger was fantastic. Action packed, swoony romance and cubs! Cubs...everywhere. I love me some little cubs!

Okay so the quick of it is that Kendrick is on the run with his three cubs and the bad guys have caught up with them. Unfortunately for their catches up with them while they're at her diner. And oh life is about to change in a crazy dangerous and exciting way as they fight to p
There is something about this series that holds me back from totally loving it. I think it is because the world is so dark and the struggle is ongoing. That being said, I really enjoyed White Tiger for the most part. Kendrick is an awesome hero and his three boys are the cutest things ever! I also really liked Addy. She was a terrific heroine and perfect for Kendrick and his boys. If she had an ounce of drama or TSTL in her it would have killed the story.

But I HATE dead spouse stories. Especiall

3.5 Stars - A nice enough suspenseful paranormal romance (but not life shattering amazing)

Book #8 - White Tiger, hopefully a good read as the others in this favorite series of me.

I was listening to the 10:38 hours audiobook narrated by Cris Dukehart ... and she does it so very well every time. Half the joy.

I've skipped around in this series and have enjoyed it for the most part but this book was disappointing for me. Here's my breakdown:

The pros:
* I like having the children/cubs in this read - and that the father was so protective of them

The cons:
* I didn’t care for the hero - his "mate" had died 4 years before and that’s just something I don’t care for in my books
* Speaking of the hero, he just never seemed to really be in love with the heroine - the romance had no passion
* At one point, a female

The couple: Kendrick & Addison

It has been too long since I last read a book in the Shifters Unbound series but it was so easy to fall back into their world. I love Ashley's writing and I always like the way she creates couples with real issues within the paranormal romance genre. Kendrick is a great example of this as he comes with a ready made family in his three young sons as well as the emotional baggage of being a widower. I would've liked a little more exp

I've been in such a shifter mood; so when I had the chance to read this one, I was totally onboard!

This is a book 8 in a series I haven't read but it easily can stand alone. It was super easy to figure out the world and enjoy Kendrick and Addison's story.

Characters. I love that Kendrick is a protective daddy. He's got two tiger cubs and an adopted wolf cub. That alone tells me so much about who he is. And he puts those cubs above everything else. Quiet and secretive, Kendrick is a good judge of

This book was good and then not so good and then back to good. The love story was pretty good. The plot was okay but was really easy to figure out. I liked the ending with Tiger and his baby, that was super sweet and funny. This book was better than average for a paranormal romance.

I really wanted to love this book. I'd been looking forward to Kendrick's story. Broody and dark and menacing. The first half of the book was rather good, but for me, it started to unravel at that point. I didn't feel any real connection between Kendrick and Addie. No passion. Addie didn't do it for me either. She basically went along with whatever Kendrick wanted to do and never put up much of a struggle.

I hope this series can get back to the excitement of the first books. 2.5 stars

In a diner in the middle
I'm not usually one to start a series in the middle without having read the previous books first but after reading the blurb of White Tiger I just had to give it a go. I mean, a sexy shifter on the run with his cubs that's willing to help a damsel in distress? What's not to love?! That being said, White Tiger ended up being an okay read for me in the end.

Kendrick and his cubs have been showing up in the diner that Addie works in every night at the same time since they arrived in town but when th

This series has fast become one of my favorites to read. I enjoy the assortment of shifters, the world building is remarkable, and the character dynamics are great. Ashley knows how to write a great paranormal romance and she keeps things new and fresh with each installment.

White Tiger is book eight in the Shifters Unbound series by Jennifer Ashley. It can be read as a stand a lone, but I feel you will get more enjoyment if you read the novels in order.

Kendrick is a white Tiger shifter who has been a Guardian of un-collared shifters who have been living in secret. He first appeared in the novella, Bear Attraction, when Rebecca and Walker attacked their hiding place while looking for a missing woman. After that, Kendrick has been on the run with his cubs and adopted teenage boy. Addison is a waitress in a diner whom Kendrick and his boys meet while they are having their dinner and pies…

It was a nice installment, interesting scenes and details about the key characters but not that rich in broader developments to the shifter communities/overall plot situation.
The secondary characters felt more intriguing than the main couple.

I am always happy when I read a Jennifer Ashley book. There is just something about her writing that feeds my soul. I've really liked all that I've read by her, some more then others.

With Guardian's Mate out in September I knew I had to get caught up on this series. I want to thank by BFF and fellow blogger Karen (The Many Faces of Romance) for surprising me with my copy of White Tiger. She knew I wanted a print copy and was having trouble finding it. Thanks Karen!!!!

I received this book for free from Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. After the uncollared shifters are blown out of their hiding place and their leader takes off, I knew we were going to get to know more about these new shifters. Initially I was not a fan of Kendrick. I think it was the way his pack was introduced. But to see him out in the real world with his cubs, my opinion was changed. I was anxious for him to

One thing you can surely say about Ashley's "Shifters Unbound" series is that it is not formulaic. White Tiger is no exception. Despite the slightly cheesy book coves and simplistic looking summaries; this is a full-bodied and different take on shifters. This time we've moved away from the Shiftertowns and the collared shifters; and moved into a plotline arc about Guardian Kendrick and his uncollared shifters. This was the shifter group living in the underground bunkers who were ousted and separ

I wanted to know about Kendrick since his running off in Bear Attraction. I think that know that I know him a bit better and understand why he did what he did I can respect him. His attraction to Addision was bound to get him in trouble and sure enough things go off with lots of explosions.

Addison works as a waitress in a small town diner. Lately there's been a man who comes in with three little boys to order pie before closing time. They are usually quiet and keep to themselves but there's something about the man that draws Addison in. Maybe it's the fact that he always comes in at the same time every night for pie, maybe it's his white hair with black streaks in it, or maybe the fact that he's always carrying around a sword with him. Whatever her attraction is to the guy, Addiso ...more

I love when I can relate to the heroine right away and it was easy with Addison. Her outgoing personality and caring nature made her a refreshing character that was ready to embrace her new reality. Kendrick was a little harder to get to know at first but soon the deep caring nature of an alpha came through. I wish the ac

FINAL DECISION: An enjoyable romp, WHITE TIGER continues to expand the Shifter universe. As always, the world building is strong here. The sweetness of the romance between Kendrick and Addison is matched with an adventurous story. The only thing I missed here was a progression in the overarching story.

Oh my goodness! I absolutely LOVED this book! I don’t know why I haven’t discovered this series before but I’m completely hooked!

What drew me to this book was the synopsis! I loved the idea of this lonely waitress Addison just working and trying to figure out her life, when one evening a tall man with white and black striped hair walks into her diner with three young children. After several nights of seeing them, interacting with them and wanting to know more, all hell breaks loose and Addison f

I think fans of this series were intrigued when Kendrick was introduced in Bear Attraction. A white tiger shifter who has served as both leader and Guardian to a den of uncollared shifters for close to twenty years until their hideaway is discovered and they are forced to scatter and flee. Now Kendrick is searching for a new home for himself, his cubs and the remaining members of his pack.
