Get ready for more adventures, more secrets, romantic tension....and My Little Pony. (Yep, seriously.) Maya and her brothers are back, fighting an increasingly desperate war against a rapidly growing paranormal enemy. As they push themselves to the brink, mistakes start to creep in…mistakes they can’t afford to make. When Rain, Maya’s clumsy and adored boyfriend, is injured on a mission, she must decide whether love is worth the risk of loss and heartbreak. Rain’s encounter also raises ghosts from the Fox family past. Tarren knows something, but can Maya break through his ever-present wall to find the truth? Tarren heaps more dark secrets onto the growing pile when he announces a new and mysterious mission. He needs to capture an angel…alive. As for Gabe, his carefully crafted world of good and evil gets a serious challenge…one that might change his perception of the war forever. More excitement, more mystery and definitely twisty turns as Maya, Gabe and Tarren continue their war against the angels.

The fourth installment in the Girl with Broken Wings levels up the tension as it seems like the angels are multiplying faster while the exhausted Fox siblings are growing older and wiser.

Of all the characters, Tarren is the most mysterious. We get hints that the tightly controlled eldest sibling has secrets so devastating that not even his younger bro Gabe knows the truth.

I’ve grown to love this series and these characters!

Good book

I have enjoyed this series..Each book has gotten better as the story grows. Tarren, Gabe, and Maya have grown so much as characters. I'm looking forward to reading the next and final installment.

So you thought Gabe would be Chuck Norris for Halloween, didn't you? ...

More angel hunting mixed with loss and adventure carry over into Book 4 along with a bit of Rain + Maya, but not too much, :p

It's no longer just the trio fighting the angels and trying to protect unsuspecting people - How will Tarren deal with and handle an expansion team working in some way with the Totem? Will Maya be able to keep her promise to Gem? As their contra-angel world grows, new norms must be established to continue protecting everyone involved.

I can't wait to jump into Book 5, although I will be sad to leave these characters behind...
