A comprehensive overview of the "scaled" races of the Forgotten Realms, and the various regions where they have influence. A lot of this book focuses on the yuan-ti, and running campaigns featuring them as enemies. However, other reptilian races are covered as well, even lesser-known ones like ophidians, firenewts, and khaasta; they also provide information on the sarrukh, the progenitor race of many of the others. The section on the various regions might be a little too down-in-the-weeds for some, but if you're looking to run adventures in those regions, it does give you a lot to work with. The book also has the typical new monsters, feats, equipment, magic items, spells, and prestige classes, which are OK (the new spells are probably the most interesting). They also provide a few potentially useful adventure sites. The book is mainly of interest to Forgotten Realms fans, but there is also a lot of material that could be adapted to other campaigns with a focus on reptilian races. (B+)

Great resource for Yuan-Ti and other serpents races. I didn't realize that so many races had been created. Very powerful abominations and artifacts. Can run an entire campaign with this book.

A nice accesory for creating insidious, slithering villains. The character choices are somehow poor, but the chapters about history and culture are outstanding.
