Hmm. I didn't have any difficulty parting with my money for this one, and yet when I got it home I wondered why. It is TOO classic. The styles are mostly ones I'd never knit. Yet, I figure sometime I'll use one as a template...

Good easy designs for women's handknit sweaters.
No novelty of specialty yarn used, so substitution would not be a problem.

I was looking for a very plain sweater pattern for my first sweater and found one here. If you like the idea of making plain (minimalist) sweaters in beautiful yarns of your choice, you should check out this book.

This is one I will buy, since the styles are classic and I happen to love classic knits.

beautiful - just received as a gift, have not actually knit any, but you would never know this was published five or so years ago.

Might have been modern when it was published. Not so much now.
