I had to read this for my AP English Literature and Composition class as part of our poetry studies. It is well-written, generally easy to understand, and insightful. I think I’ve found a favorite poet through the anthologies between each chapter: John Keats. It is a good introductory text to poetry. The only reason I took off a star is because my experience was tarnished from staying up late to study from it. That’s not the book’s fault so it really deserves a five.
