Another favorite of my son's. His introduction to the birth of Jesus at two year old. He keeps asking me to re-read it for him, he already knows the characters and it is obvious he loves discovering what's under the flaps and asking me questions about the illustrations.

Received this book as a gift. Very disappointed in the illustrations as the Jewish family born in the Middle East is pictured with porcelain white skin and Mary with blonde hair. I want my son to understand that people all over the world look different. It could have been very easy for the illustrator to make much more realistic depictions of the people in the book.

Beautifully simple nativity story with adorable illustrations, and fun flaps on each page to reveal the angel, the star, etc; plus there are peek-a-boo circles to view pieces of previous or next pages. A very fun book for the earliest readers.

Always frustrating to tell the myth rather than the truth but nice to have an interactive version.

What a lovely book to tell young ( and not so young) kids the nativity story. The flap feature makes it even more engaging and interactive

I got this as part of my hostess rewards for my Usborne party. We held on to this book as a Christmas present for my daughter. She loved this book. She loves lift-the-flap books, so this was perfect. We were able to read a short story of Christmas to her while she found the hidden thing under the flap of each page. I wish it were a tad bit longer, but otherwise I really enjoyed this book. It's a great addition to our library.

my daughter and I love this beautifully illustrated book about the first Christmas. It tells the story in easy to understand words and has fun flaps for the kids to lift.
