Beyaz bir sayfayı önüne çek okur; elinde bir kalem kulağında bir Rus Konçerto tınısı olsun. Seni çok uzaklara götüren hayal gücün sayesinde metafori bazında fantastik cümlelerle donat o sayfayı. Önce biraz hüzün biraz gerçeklik serpiştir. Sonra biraz umut ver karakterlere ama acı hayatlarının en az korku kadar parçası haline gelmeli. Iz "Ruskog hrta" rečenica zanavek usađena u mene. Odnosi se na posedovanje te rase pasa (koju, iskreno govoreći, baš i ne volim). "Ruski hrt se ne prodaje. Velika je sramota prodati ili kupiti ruskog hrta. On se ili dobija na poklon ili se nema."

Мені страшенно подобається мова Павича, а з цієї збірки найбільше торкнула "Повість про брата і сестру". "Я бросаю взгляд на наш балкон, плюю на свечу и ложусь с Кобалой. Потому что теперь вместо сестры он каждый вечер ждет меня."
