An End of Night by Bella Forrest is book sixteen in the series, A Shade of Vampire.

As usual, everything is again falling apart. The black witches are still managing to kidnap hundreds upon hundreds of humans for their blood ritual for Lilith. It seems like the majority of the responsibility for solving this has fallen on Mona’s shoulders. I felt bad for her, actually. She does figure out the key to ending Lilith but accomplishing it is not going to be easy. There is someone they need to find so Rose, Caleb, Derek, Sofia, Mona, Kiev, and ten others from their island go looking. They go from one realm to another in their search. And in doing so, they find themselves in one dangerous situation after another. They have to go to the merfolk’s realm and these are NOT friendly merfolk at all! Time is not on their side as they flounder to find a way to stop the black witches.



We again, though, see the love between our beloved characters and the way they support, fight alongside, and care for one another. I have often thought during the many horrible situations they have found themselves in throughout this series, that it is this love that always brings them out on top over evil every time. Good wins over evil, right?



So this book is the end of Rose and Caleb’s story. When the group does make it back to The Shade, Rose realizes that her eighteenth birthday is the very next day. She and Caleb have a very special way to celebrate her birthday which brings some much needed happiness to their island. But this is also a bittersweet birthday since it is the first time ever she has spent it away from her twin, Ben.



I’ve said it before but over sixteen books, I have so grown to love these characters. Book seventeen, A Wind of Change, comes out on August 30. Bella Forrest says to prepare for a new hero to emerge. I am so excited to see what she has in store for us next. Ben’s situation has taken a turn for the worse so I am thinking we will get more of him. I am also still very intrigued with these dragons, especially their prince, Theon. They didn’t play much a part in this book but I hope Bella has more in store for us with them.



So I will close by again saying how much I have been enjoying this series. Bella Forrest finds a new and unique way with each and every book to keep us on the edge of our seat with crazy suspense and at the same time, sighing with the sweetness of love as our characters find their happily ever afters. I can’t wait to see where this will go next.

Vampires, witches, dragons....wedding?

As the Novacks search for a way to stop the black witches and Lilith, Caleb is set on asking Rose to be his wife, he no longer wants to wait to make her his forever.

Mona delves deeper into the memories of Lilith to find a way to stop the witches from stealing humans and bringing chaos to the human realm. In her searching she comes across a name Magnus. As he searches deeper she finds this man to be a vampire that Lilith had once loved deeply. Could this be the answer to stopping Lilith?

Bella has dazzled us once more with An End of Night, the sixteenth release in the spellbinding mega hit series, A Shade of Vampire by bestselling author Bella Forrest and she totally rocked my world - again! Like thousands of my fellow Shaddicts, I've been hooked from the very first book of the series and now anxiously await each release. I simply cannot get enough! I love this series! I was turning the pages so fast, my Kindle Fire couldn't keep up! And just when I think there's no way this series can get any better - WHAM - Bella hits us with yet another riveting adventure that curls our toes and leaves us breathless, begging for more! This is a paranormal/supernatural saga so unlike any other I've ever read. It is exciting, original, unique, imaginative, very well developed, well executed, thrilling, fast paced, riveting, action packed, mysterious, suspenseful, enchanting, heartbreaking, heartwarming, seductive and oh so romantic. These are only a few of the words that come to mind after reading this incredible chronicle of the Shade, its inhabitants and its enemies. I really love that the book is written in the first person with multiple, alternating points of view. My throat felt so tight, I could hardly speak. “Yes,” I managed.
“All of you?”
“All of me.”

I thought this was a great ending to Rose and Caleb’s story, I am sure that we will continue to see them in future installments but for now it’s nice to see them have their happy ending! It was definitely well deserved after all they had to go through to get to this point! This book was a bit of a walk down memory lane as they recounted all they had to endure over the last year, thinking back it’s really amazing to see how much Rose has grown and how strong she’s become during that time. It’s no wonder Sofia and Derek are so proud of the woman she’s become. Just like all of the previous installments of The Shade, this was one certainly action packed. There was never a dull moment for this crew as they banded together yet again to try to find a way to bring down Lilith and the black witches once and for all. They are taken on quite a journey through several different realms on their quest to find Magnus. It definitely was an epic climax and wasn’t at all what I expected to happen! Kudos definitely go to Bella Forrest for continuing to surprise me, even after all of these books!! The epilogue gave us a glimpse into what’s been happening to Ben during this time and there were a few big reveals given there, one had me totally shocked! I can’t wait to see how that story unfolds and I hope that Ben can find peace and hopefully a girl as the next story arc kicks off! Looking forward to the end of the month so I can see what happens next!

Greatness again !!

Hail Bella Forrest..... Once again you have surpassed all my expectations !!! I enjoyed Rose and Caleb's story more than Sophia and Derik's ( if that is possible ) !!! Looks like Ben's story line will be very interesting and darker !! Don't know how these books get better and better with each one , but it DOES !!! Can't wait to get back to the Shade ! I would definitely recommend this series , to anyone who loves the supernatural and romance with witches , warlocks , ogres , mermaids , werewolves and whole lot more , it is the perfect combination , and not predictable at all !! Bella does a wonderful job weaving her magic , and I so love it and devour every word !!!

Well, this is the end of Caleb and Rose's story. They finally got married. I was hooked from book 1. What a ride. Will I continue on to Ben's story and read Kiev's trilogy? Probably, but I need a break. I do recommend this series for vampire lovers.

My heart, ugh I love this series so much! I have no idea why I haven't picked the next book up in almost a month, that is a crime haha! But honestly, this series never disappoints and I find myself falling in love with the characters and world all over again when picking up the next book. This was the final book in Rose and Caleb's story, and it ended beautifully. <3 I couldn't have asked for a better ending for these two.

In this final book in their series, the black witches are trying to perform a ritual for Lilith to become the most powerful and live a longer life. In the last book they discovered someone named Magnus, and how important of a role he plays in this book. The battle was amazing and was written in a way where you felt like you were there. You never knew if your favorite character was going to be okay because so much happened. There is non stop action and mystery to solve the puzzle and save not just the human realm but all of the supernatural realms.

My favorite part about this series is the dynamic between the characters. They all come together as a big family and it warms my heart. Even if they aren't blood related or the same species, they all look out for each other. They always worry about everyone's safety and not just one person. They fight together to protect The Shade and will not let evil take over. They find it in their hearts to forgive some, not really in this book in particular, but for example, Kiev used to be pure evil, but he showed he could change, and it is great to see a better side of him. In the end of this book, it leaves you happy for everyone but there is still the mystery about Ben, which I can't wait to read about. Omg though! Jeremiah is *blank* ?!?! I won't say what happens, but what?! I'm shocked!

Anyways, the writing in these books is effortless and I feel like Bella Forrest has a true gift in writing and telling amazing stories. Everything flows so nicely and each sentence has an importance in the story. I love how she incorporates things that have happened in the past or small similarities, like when Sofia changed into Derek, something similar happened, in a more intense way, but it made me smile. I can't say how much I love this series, and can't wait to continue!

Shade books 1 to 7 I adored! I loved them, the stories and the people in them. I was addicted. I loved Sofia and Derek's story. And, coming from someone who has resisted reading a single vampire themed novel that means alot.
I went directly to book 8 and 9. I started to enjoy Rose and Caleb's romance story.
But, when I got to book 13 or 14 my love for the series began to fade. I found my self skimming chapters and going to chapters with Rose or Caleb only.
In some ways I got tired from switching between different characters viewpoints.
I'm not as eager to start book 17, but I'm not quitter.lol. In some ways I do still like the series and otheres I don't.
I got annoyed that they didn't have an urgent need to search for Ben! For moral people they have become, they are okay with him killing innocent people, because it's his choice???? I know this was something Bella used, so that she could have another series dedicated to Ben's story side of things, but still it annoyed me.
I do want to read the series, but a part of me feels they are going to have kids, those kids are going to grow up and fall in love and then the Derek/Sofia, Caleb/Rose story lines were going to be repeated somewhat. Someone's going to attack the Shade again. People in the shade will win. Someone's going to get kidnapped. and the cycle will repeat.
I wish there was a site that summarized what happens in each book. hahaha.

With the Novak twins 18th birthday approaching soon; they both discover inner strength, understanding of what it means to have family and essentially, they have a choice to make. They both flee, fight and struggle to come to terms with their decisions, imprisonment and who they are:

Ben Novak has the responsibility of having released their legacy to the world. Does he even realise what the consequences of his actions are?

Whilst the princess of The Shade, Rose Novak, repeatedly disobeys orders and eventually learns what it means to get burnt. Does the princess need saving or can Rose prove she is no damsel in distress...?

In this book we meet creatures who are expertise in the ancient knowledge of Love, who will not stop at anything to claim their maiden; we discover the agenda and truth to the black witches plan to restore their righteousness and ultimately, this means war! AND we find out, who really is Lilith.

As this story grips you to the edge of your seat and we fall in love with the characters again and again, personally, I cannot wait for the next instalment as I’m left wondering:

- What does the crucifix mean?

- Who are The Oasis?

- Does Jeremiah have a motive?

- What is to happen of The Shade now?

- Does Ben know what he has done?

Un nouveau tome qui continue à se centrer sur Lilith et Mona. J'ai adoré le passage dans le royaume des sirènes et les créatures rencontrées par nos amis ! Le poulpe, les requins... très inventif et bien trouvé : j'aurais apprécié cependant y rester un peu plus longtemps (cet univers me plait beaucoup !)

La suite du tome, qui se centre sur Lilith et Magnus vs Kiev /Mona/Rhys m'a énormément plu. J'ai apprécié le côté très humain de Lilith et de Magnus ainsi que le geste de Mona, que ce soit envers Magnus ou Rhys

Sur le reste du tome, je suis bien contente que Caleb et Rose trouvent enfin une issue à leur histoire (j'avoue que le jeu du je t'aime je te fuis commençait à me gonfler ^^). Enfin, l'ultime rebondissement sur Ben m'a énormément surprise (très honnêtement je ne m'attendais pas du tout à ça !) et j'ai hâte de connaitre la suite !

HEA

After finding Lilith's vampire, convincing him that she tricked his love is impossible. So Mona changes Kiev into Magnus the vampire to get to Lilith before the ritual starts.

After getting rid of the black witches, Caleb and Rose decide to get married of her 18th birthday. But the family can't help but wonder where Ben is on their birthday and her special day.

Ben feels something is off at The Oasis, and when he finds out the truth, he tried to run. But he doesn't get very far.

Amazingly Captivating

Just when you think the Novak’s and the rest of the brood couldn’t get anymore amazing.....They do!!

Another exciting and never ending adventure. The Shade has survived so much, and have become a more unified unit. Now with so much in the line they will gather strengths from the least likely sources.

Rose and Celeb May have found each other, but there are so many more loose ends to tie!!!!!!

This book was awesome!! I loved Caleb and Rose together. Their love story through the series has been a very close 2nd to Derek and Sofias. As always lots of action, drama, suspense and romance in this book. I'm really excited to read the next book and also the book A Shade of Dragon starring Theon.

Amazing season two. I love Rose and Caleb. I hated Annora and Rhys for trying separate Caleb from Rose. The Hearthlands looks like amazing place. Theon was an intriguing character nd I felt a little bad for him when Rose didn't reciprocate. Brett and Bella I found them super tender despite being ogres. Definitely amazing season.

Spellbinding

I started with the 1st book of this series, and had to fight with myself to stop reading to get some sleep each night and as soon as my house work was done, I was back reading again. I simply had to know what was happening next. I have read to book 16. I am going to take a few days rest and simply must see where the next books lead!
