I would recommend this to people who like action. The reason is why is because (If you have read the previous Yu-gi-oh books) you would know that Yusei Fudo has saved sect from Skeleton knights control who ended out to be Rex's brother Roman Goodwin (who sadly dies by risking his life to save Yusei's). In conclusion 1 the theme is to "Never Give Up" and 2 this is why I recommend this book to action people.

Not a bad conclusion but I do find the ending at least the part where Yusei is offered a wish is a interesting part. As it tries to do a crossover not only with GX but also with the anime version of 5Ds. As we get a hint they he could become Z-One from the last arc of the 5Ds anime. We also get a possibility of Yusei entering a duel with both Jaden and Yugi which again is a reference to the final duel from the GX manga. That part alone is interesting and it is also interesting to see them again take an idea from the anime with Yusei using the other dragons to synchro summon a new stardust dragon. Anime vs Manga I think the anime is still better granted the manga does handle Leo and Luna better as they have a better role in the story. But the anime does handle the rest a bit better in my opinion as the anime does give the main cast a better connection with each other. Also it does explore much more interesting themes with Classism and even Free Will vs Destiny.

Okay so I have a lot of thoughts on this series batten down the hatches! I know the card is called Baal Chechen but I kept reading it as Baal Chicken and couldn't stop giggling. The thought of a chicken popping up in the middle of the epic battle.
They got rid of the harem around Yusei and Jack. Jack doesn't have Carly, Mina, and coffee gal fighting for his affection. Yusei doesn't even really meet Sherry and Bruno isn't in the manga.
Leo is so much better in the manga. I couldn't stand him in the anime. Also Luna is terrifying in the first half which is more than they had her do in the manga.
I still think the anime is better cause they have all of the emotions and connections that the manga doesn't have time for but this was a fun series!

5D's ends strongly with an epic duel that builds off everything the series has done so far; with an equally intense epilogue. Vol. 9 pulls no punches as Yusei and Ultimate God-Possessed Rex duel for the fate of the world. There's upsets, reversals, and surprises. We learn more of Rex's motivations; as well as the evil god's. Sato's art is his best yet; fitting for the end. The battle scenes pop off the page; but the more emotional ones do as well.

The epilogue is two chapters of Yusei and Jack dueling for the title of duel emperor. It is the culmination of all they've learned so far with cunning strategies on both sides. 5D's ends very strong and is well worth your time as a series. It does Yu-Gi-Oh right.

the completion of the first duel felt drawn out. the wish was nice liked the nod to bonds beyond time. the second duel was good a nice ending to the run.
