Like the rest of the Willow Park books, Sarah has done a bang up job of mixing sharp, refreshing humor and real, relatable issues. Oh, and there's a heck of a fun romance mixed in. I loved watching Tiffany grow and tiptoeing through the story as I waited for her secrets to be revealed. And Thomas? Yummalicious. Another fun entertaining read in the Willow Park series. In this one we meet Tiffany Desjardins. She's always been Daddy's little princess, doing all the right things and living life according to his plans. Well except for that one time she married Luke! This, the third and final book of the series, was a case of struggling to connect with the characters, but had the potential to be so much more.

On one hand we have Tiffany, a pampered princess who at the same time has never been given the opportunity to think for herself. I've never read Sarah Hegger before. This is the last book in her Willow Park Romance. Tiffany is a bit of a poor little rich girl, who is trying to change her life. I wasn't sure if I was going to like her at first, but as she grew and found her real self she really was endearing. I really felt sorry for her too.

My experience when reading a book series is that the first book is very good to draw the reader into the series. and the final book is the crown jewel of the series as the author pulls together all the hanging threads and characters in the series to give the faithful readers who have stuck with the series a positive send off and a great H.E.A. No doubt it’s because I’m a guy but my fondness for a romance book is in direct c Nobody’s Princess is the third and final book in the Willow Park series. My experience when reading a book series is that the first book is very good to draw the reader into the series. and the final book is the crown jewel of the series as the author pulls together all the hanging threads and characters in the series to give the faithful readers who have stuck with the series a positive send off and a great H.E.A. No doubt it’s because I’m a guy but my fondness for a romance book is in direct correlation to the book’s heroine’s appeal to me. IMHO although I liked Nobody’s Princess, I thought the first book Nobody’s Angel with beautiful, damaged and vulnerable yet strong Lucy who won my heart was an A, the second book Nobody’s Fool, with feisty, strong and loyal yet vulnerable Holly who won my empathy was a B-B+ and Nobody’s Princess with beautiful, stronger than she realized Tiffany was a solid C+-B.
It’s not that I didn’t like Tiffany although admittedly it took me several chapters into the book for the author to flesh her out as more than the superficial, materialistic princess referred to in the title into a heroine I could care about. This book is a coming of age story about Tiffany a pampered 26-year-old daddy’s girl learning to stand on her own two feet and be who she is rather than whom her wealthy father wants her to be as much as a romance. Her failed disaster of a brief marriage to Luke (a singular act of rebellion against her father’s advice and wishes) at the age of 19 has only further convinced her not to trust herself and look to her father for advice and direction. He wants her to marry a man just like himself and Tiffany is whole heartedly in agreement. The problem is for reasons she’s never wanted to look too closely at five years after they’ve split up she still hasn’t finalized the divorce and unbeknownst to her father or the man she plans to marry, she’s still married to Luke. Now she needs to find Luke and get him to sign off on the divorce so she can move forward and marry the man of her father’s dreams and the security the marriage would offer her. Enter our hero Thomas, youngest brother of Richard and Joshua. Despite her impending betrothal, the minute she lays eyes on Thomas the sparks fly. As it happens Thomas is also looking for Luke for totally different reasons. Quite honestly the pretext that Luke has stolen the only document that exists that Thomas needs to move forward with his business venture in Africa was a tad hard to swallow. But being a regular reader of romance novels I’m used to having to accept a certain amount of story lines based on shaky premises. Eventually Tiffany (because her classic sports car breaks down) is forced to team up with Thomas to find Luke. Here’s another problem I had with this plot line. Tiffany has this classic Lamborghini Miura that belongs to Luke and it plays a big part in this story. Her plan is to use the return of the car to entice Luke to return to Chicago with her to help facilitate a quick dissolution to their marriage. It breaks down on her way between Chicago and Utah because we’re told sports cars aren’t made for driving across country. In reality tooling around long country roads and cross country trips is exactly what sports cars are designed to do. Now if the author wanted to substitute the Lamborghini for a classic muscle car built to go 0-60 really fast but not for long drives, it would have been a lot more palatable story line. While the other two books introduced heavy issues like alcoholism and mental illness along with seriously dysfunctional family relations into their story lines, this book was much lighter and fluffier despite Dakota’s (Luke’s teenaged brother) drug issues. That’s okay, it just seemed to give this story less fullness than the previous two possessed.
Despite these issues, that I felt reduced the believability of critical plot lines, and the fact that as a guy I have zero interest or name recognition with all the high-end fashion and cosmetics products references that peppered the story, I still found Nobody’s Princess a very enjoyable read. Thomas was too perfect as the hero. He’s the kind of man every guy wants to be or at least be friends with and every woman just flat out wants. It was great watching him help Tiffany find herself and build her self-confidence as he fell deeper in love with her. I thought Tiffany’s relationship with her estranged husband, the symbolism of the Miura in their relationship and her unresolved feelings she needed closure on was done beautifully and very poignantly. While I enjoyed the way, the author left Thomas and Tiffany’s relationship at the end of their story I was mildly disappointed at the way she handled Lucy and Holly since this was my last chance to visit with them. When Tiffany finally meets Thomas’s family poor Lucy and Holly are pretty much relegated to descriptions of their hair. Lucy is the blonde holding a baby and Holly has a wild head of hair. Well at least Holly got to show off her quick wit a little. All Lucy got to do was make facial expressions and hold her newborn. We’re reminded of how gorgeous Richard and especially Josh (the Man-God) are but no mention of Lucy’s stunning beauty. And what’s with Holly still resisting Joshua’s desire to marry when based upon the fact that the baby Lucy was carrying when they first met is now a toddler and she’s just delivered a second child, she and Josh must be at least a couple of years into their relationship? And it’s great that Tiffany has decided to support herself while attending college but we don’t know how she’s doing it, only that she’s on a budget and now $5/day for lunch is something she can’t afford. So did it make sense for her to keep her high end apartment on Chicago’s Gold Coast instead of sharing living expenses with Thomas whom she spends every night with anyway? It’s those sorts of things that garnered this book a 3 star grade from me. Not a bad rating, just a little lower than the first two received.

I have loved all of Sarah Hegger's Willow Park books. This one is no exception. Tiffany is quite a character right from the beginning. I found humor in her use of numbers as a calming agent. I really felt for her need to both grasp the past and move forward to what she thinks will be her HEA. Her first encounter with Thomas and the whole model-debacle was hilarious. To be honest, at first I wasn't sure I liked this book. The main character seemed completely annoying and vapid. AU CONTRAIRE. While I still can't relate to being a "Daddy's little princess", there are other things going on with her that are/were very familiar. This is another enjoyable novel in the Willow Park series. The characters are likable and well developed. I loved the alpha geek hero! The story is well written and paced with moments of humor. I enjoyed seeing how the other Hunter brothers are doing since their respective books. I would love to see a continuation of Josh's story in a novella or another book. I can't wait to read more by Ms. Hegger. Highly recommend.

Nobody's Princess bumped itself right to my favorite in the series! I loved Tiffany and Thomas. Their story was layered and perfect. The banter between all of the characters was fun and real. I fell a little in love with Thomas from the first time we met him ... hello sexy! I enjoyed watching Tiffany accept herself and not the version she thinks she should be. I was cheering Tiffany all along as she found her voice and started to love herself.

So much fun. I’m a big fan of this series, and in book three, Hegger does not disappoint. The amazing chemistry she concocts between her characters blazes across the page. Twists and turns make this story a rollercoaster ride so fun and exciting, I lost a little sleep, not being able to put down my iPad at night far past the time I should have. This one is a real page turner.
