I couldn't finish this book. The writing was hard to follow and boring. I could no longer make myself read any more descriptions like that of a police headquarter which was built of "brick and flirtatiously painted steel".
I read this book some time ago when I was struggling to get published and enjoyed it. Now that I am a published crime writer I thought I would give it a fresh read and see if I enjoy it as much the second time round. T.R Bowen is an accomplished screenwriter and actor. This was his first published crime novel.
Another mystery I picked up in the reception area of the hotel. Not my fave--I liked the British setting, less so the fawning descriptions of the main character, a distant, moody, hot cop who is catnip to the ladies. My favorite thing about the book was that a minor character is named Giovanni--Gio--Jones.
