Ready to Read is a series of reading books designed to encourage and develop the confidence of young readers between the ages of 5 and 7. They are aimed at children who can read a little, but who need lively but structured books to help them develop their skills further. The Level 1 books use no more than 300 words. The stories are told in ten episodes, in rhyme, avoiding complex words. Any hard words that are used are explained on the picture dictionary page. The text is positioned on pale colors to help dyslexic readers.

It's a every basic book for beginning readers. It follows the orginial story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears, but the image of the characters has changed to fit with the generation.
