I’m still pining after Theodore J. Darcy, Theo. In fact I am creating a new alpha hero shelf for him. He is the in-control EASY-GOING alpha. Never for a second did I doubt his imposing presence and commanding ways, but his laid-back personality lets Felicity have free reigns. That said as he was falling I sensed his need to not so much possess her but to make her his.

Felicity Harper is another strong heroine courtesy J.J. McAvoy and kudos for creating another such unique heroine. As strong as swoon-worthy as Theo was, Felicity always held her own and in many ways she controlled the development of their relationship or rather her stubbornness and fears did - until Theo took charge.
“So I do what I do best and try to run. But he’s a runner so he so he always catches up to me.”
Sugar Baby Beautiful with its thought-provoking plot is every bit the rollercoaster romance the setting calls for, all the way through the shocking second/third act and Hollywood ending. Lights - Camera –Action!

As a reader I like nothing more than to be surprised by a book and J.J. McAvoy really did that with this stand-alone novel. 'Sugar Baby Beautiful' was like nothing I had expected and while I didn’t fully love it, I enjoyed very much. Steamy, witty and emotional, 'Sugar Baby Beautiful' was a fantastic, addictive read that made me smile and swoon until the end with a great, endearing heroine and a swoon-worthy hero that won me over from the very beginning.
Felicity is a good, hard working girl who works as a school janitor, waitress and also as a phone credit card collector. Her jobs and her two best friends Cleo and Mark are more than she can handle right now, so she’s not looking for any type of relationship. When her friends ask her to attend a Sugar Baby Party, a party where rich people are looking for companionship or something more she reluctantly accepts, wanting to explore in some way her wild side and also have some fun.
Left alone at the party, Felicity feels that party is not for her after all, so she tries to hide in more ways than one. She meets a sexy and arrogant man, Theodore Darcy, CEO of Darcy Entertainment, a young billionaire who like Felicity is not very pleased to be at the party. From the moment they meet Felicity and Theo are drawn to each other, toying with each other numerous times. Theo is taken aback by Felicity’s grace and beauty, wanting to know her and make her his.
While Theo makes clear from the beginning what he wants from Felicity, proposing her a no strings attached relationship, Felicity doesn’t know exactly what she wants. Eventually she reluctantly accepts, but what begins a sex and companionship relationship slowly becomes something much more for both of them.
Like I mentioned above this one turned out to be so much more than I initially thought it will be. The story was interesting, fascinating at times and so very deliciously twisted. I enjoyed almost all the twists and turns here and many of them kept me at the edge of my seat for one reason or another. The plot was layered and the story-line was truly addictive.
Both Felicity and Theo were wonderful, engaging characters I fell in love with as the story progressed. Felicity was a fun heroine I liked from the start. I loved her colorful personality, her sassiness and her attitude towards…well, everything. She was smart and strong as the story progressed and I sympathize immensely with her at some point into the story. She was an engaging, well portrayed, independent and rebellious heroine I admired and adored until the end.
I loved Theo, even more than our heroine. He wasn’t your typical billionaire if you know what I mean which honestly I found very refreshing. He was cocky and possessive in an endearing way and as the story progressed he proved numerous times how great he is with everyone he cares about. I loved how thoughtful and supportive he was with Felicity at times. He was everything our heroine needed in her life and I loved how much he believed in her from the beginning. But what I loved the most was the fact that he never gave up on her. He was loyal, sweet and caring and perfect in every way for Felicity.
While the first half of the story was sexy and also angst and drama free, the second half was more emotional that I had expected. Like I previously mentioned there are some interesting twists that I’m sure will leave you with your mouth hanging open.
Overall, a fantastic read!

Sugar Baby Beautiful is the second J.J. McAvoy book I’ve read and I enjoyed this one even more than the first. This is definitely an author I will be reading more of. This book started out as any other read for me, but that last 30%… I have to say that last bit shocked me big time. It also brought me to tears. It was really a great/unique twist to the story.
Felicity is 24, she’s a waitress, a janitor, and works as a call operator. She’s a busy girl and isn’t looking for a relationship but Theo takes her by storm. Theo is a successful CEO of an entertainment company and brings the best out of Felicity. He shows her it’s okay to follow her dreams, to be who she is. I love Felicity’s confidence and strength. I also love how much Theo believes in her. He sees all that strength and confidence and brings it out of her. He also never gives up on her no matter what this couple goes thorough. He’s a pretty special guy.
Felicity and Theo go through so much. What started out being just about the sex between them has turned into so much more. Their story is a story of unconditional love at it’s finest. It’s a story of overcoming adversity, about not judging people and about not giving up on love.
J.J. McAvoy’s Sugar Baby Beautiful is a unique and stunning romance you won’t want to miss out on! I’m very much looking forward to more by this author and I’m hoping for a possible spin off from this book…. ;)

This is my second attempt at reading a book by this author (first was a dnf) and I’m happy to report it was a total success. The story was hot, witty and very twisty. I enjoyed the characters and spent yesterday completely wrapped up with Felicity Harper and Theodore Darcy’s push and pull and ultimate surrender and fall into love.
”The one thing I knew for sure about Felicity Harper was that she was a runner. I had never thought of myself as a follower, but here I was, always one step behind her.”
There were a few things that I didn’t totally love like the use of the Darcy name (not needed the story was solid enough to be Mr. Jones or whatever) and the second twist and too quick of a wrap up didn’t totally thrill me. However, I loved these two together and the author presented some great quotes and I totally bought Felicity the former child prodigy’s fall for the umber rich entertainment guru whom she meets at a Sugar Baby party.
”I don’t need a gentlemen, Theo. I need an alpha.”
The story has so many hot moments, some really artsy moments, as well as super vulnerable and sweet moments. The author hits you with a twist that none of my friends nor I had guessed. The story eventually showed a vulnerability that had me wanting to read more about the characters, so I’m hoping there will be spin off in the future.

I honestly went into this book blinded I just loved the cover and the author. What I read was just beyond my expectations; this story was so unique and brilliant. It had everything I look for in a book and so much more. I laughed, cried, and I was completely shocked at events I was totally not expecting. It was truly a fresh of air to read such a great story that makes you go through all the emotions and enjoy every single minute of it.
Felicity Harper; a dead gorgeous twenty four year old who is going through life surviving on her own, does not have time for love or sex for that matter. She learned to depend on no one by working three jobs and basically staying away from everyone other than her two roommates Cleo and Mark. Her roommates “forced” her to attend a party but not just any party a “Sugar Party” where working class people will hook up with millionaires and exchange sex for money. She was naturally beautiful with long, soft, and honey-brown hair and amazing hazel eyes. She didn’t want the money but was curious about the sex. When she got to the party she instantly regret it, so she hides away; able to escape to a private room where she found a piano. Playing music was always something natural for her taking her to a place she can escape. She didn’t realized Mr. Darcy the one and only CEO of Darcy Entertainment was watching her play with so much intensity he wanted to know her deeply in his bed of course; he instantly was impressed and fascinated with her beauty and talent.
Theodore Darcy aka Theo, a wealthy man; at only thirty one years old; famous for his talent as a film director, writer, and producer was not expecting to find someone like Felicity at his home. However; from the moment he set eyes on her his world slowly changed. He wanted to know her; he wanted to make her his and keep her. Something about her brought life to him and he wanted more. He was completely amazed by her music and just wanted own her.
The relationship between these two was super-HOT. At first they made a deal she only wanted sex no strings attached and no money in returned; he was ok with it as long as she was only his. They agreed to the hot steamy sex which yes there was lots of sexy scenes the first half of the book that I would never forget. However; their relationship started to get too intimate and Felicity kept backing away from it. She had a dark past and was afraid to open up and give love a chance; so she kept running away from Theo every time she felt that they were getting too close. Theo had never come across someone that would make him feel the way he felt with her; for the first time in his life he didn’t care about what the world thought of him he just cared about how happy and alive he felt when he was with her.
Theo was such an amazing character; I loved him so much for everything he did on this book for everything he went thought. He is a hero you will fall head over heels and you would never forget him I promise you that. He never gave up and did anything to help Felicity and I have him on my top list and he holds a very close spot to my heart. He truly was an amazing alpha.
There are so many twists and turns on this story I can’t really go into details because it will basically ruin the story for everyone. However; I can honestly say this book has left me wanting for more. I do love a lot of books I can’t help it but this book my friends has absolutely blew my mind away with how well written and the amazing plot and twisted it was like nothing I’ve ever read. I guarantee you will not want to miss out on this amazing ride; it will blow your mind away and keep you on the edge wanting for more. It was super sexy, so much angst and totally shocking events that I’m still trying to processed everything I just read. I will recommend this book to everyone looking for a sexy read with angst and twists and a book of hope and true love.

THIS BOOK IS...
I swear to you...the day that J.J. McAvoy writes a book that I don't love is the day the Apocalypse begins so watch out for my reviews :P
Now...about the book...
Felicity Harper has a dark past for which she has already paid her dues. She now lives with her two best friends and works three jobs to support herself.
One night she lets her roommates drag her to a Sugar Party.
Oh right...a sugar party is a gathering where rich men and women can find a hot, young and attractive sex partner in exchange for gifts and other benefits...
You could call it that but apparently no money are exchanged so...
Anyway. Felicity quickly discovers that the party is not the place she wants to be and finds a quiet room to hide until it's all over but doesn't plan on meeting the owner of the house...Theodore Darcy...
Theo is a famous film director, writer, producer and CEO of Darcy Entertainment and the only person to contact Felicity after the sugar party but she blows him off. He doesn't take no for an answer and soon enough they end up in the exact same place they originally wanted :P
Afterwards they start a beneficial relationship that has an expiration date and is also filled with HOT, STEAMY and DIRTY DIRTY sex :P
We also get a glimpse into both their lives and also find out the secret that Felicity has been hiding about her past and the reason she can't move on and is stuck in this limbo...
But right when you though everything it's going to be ok we're hit with something I truly did not see coming...not at all...
And no...I'm not going to tell you what it is because it's genius and it will spoil all the fun...or better said it will spoil all the mind fuck :P
Ok...so at this point I'm sitting pretty comfortably and waiting to see how the author raps things up. But once I check my book progress I see I'm barely past 70% so I keep wandering what's left to read?
While reading I kept thinking "Please let this be a HEA cause otherwise I'm going to be so pissed" and that's when the author drops another boom on me and now I'm completely fucked...or better said completely mind fucked...

I would say it had the insta-lust aspect to it, but you soon forget that little tidbit once you feel the chemistry through the pages.

Ladies and gentlemen, I read a lot, a whole, whole, whole lot. I love most books I read, I am a star whore, I can’t help it. HOWEVER, sometimes a book comes a long that I love so freaking hard I feel the need to shout it from the rooftops. This book!! People!!! I loved it!
My favorite thing about blogging is getting books early, I am impatient. You want me to tell you the bad part, finishing a book no one else has read and NEEDING to discuss it with someone!! I have read two books in my life that I felt the need to tell my husband the entire plot to, and this was one. I will not tell you the plot as I did my husband, because spoiling this book would be a HUGE disservice to JJ and you!
Felicity is a beautiful girl and an extremely hard worker. At first glance that is all we really know about her. She is living with her two roommates and works an insane amount of jobs. She doesn’t care about material possessions, she cares about people. However her roommates are Sugar Babies, they provide services to the rich in famous in exchange for materials/money/security. That’s how she ended up a party designed to bring together the most beautiful people with the richest of the rich.
Theodore Darcy, yes Darcy – I love it, is “attending” the party when he meets Felicity. There against her better judgment, so she decides to find a place to hide out. Theo later finds felicity playing the piano and is immediately taken with her beauty, grace and insane musical talent. She is so passionate about her music and Theo is entranced with her.
Theo is Hollywood royalty and extremely wealthy. He doesn’t need to meet beautiful woman at a party, they flock to him, but Felicity isn’t like other women. She doesn’t want anything from him, accept maybe a physical relationship. Obviously, Theo decides he can give her just what she needs.
Neither Theo or Felicity can predict what happens next or how their relationship would progress. Quickly, what started out as hot sex is so much more and I am not referring to insta-love. No, they both realize they have a lot in common and can help one another, and so their arrangement becomes more.
From here the journey begins and I was hooked. I love a good romance story and I love a story about an underdog. This story has lots of twists and I definitely didn’t see things coming, but what I loved the most is the story of unconditional love. Unfortunately, a lot of people will never truly experience unconditonal love and this story reminded me of the value in that kind of love. Theo and Felicity are one of a kind and to most they don’t make sense, but their connection was absolutely beautiful.
I have been a fan of JJ since I read her first book. I was blown away with her talent and ability to create these characters I felt attached to and worlds you wanted to be apart of. Since, I have read all her books and every time I fall in love. Sugar Baby Beautiful is not your average love story, it’s better. It’s raw, ugly, it’s true love at it’s finest.

What did I think about Sugar Baby Beautiful after turning the last page?
This is the 2nd book I have read by this author – the 1st being Ruthless People, which I did not like at all…but maybe, just maybe, after this one…I may give RP another chance!!! Because right now I am pretty astounded how much Sugar Baby Beautiful grabbed me….right from Page 1 until the very end.
Before you think this is a story about a rich billionaire meeting a poor waitress, fall in love and go off into the sunset…stop right there!!! It’s much more complex than that.
Felicity Harper is a beautiful, caring, lonely and hard-working person, holding three jobs to pay the bills. This may be Hollywood, but she’s not into the material and glitter things in life – friendship and love are more important to her.
She agrees, after much persuasion by her two best friends and roommates to go with them to a Sugar Babies party! She’s a bit hesitant, especially as Tom and Cleo give her a bit of a background about these parties…
Anyway, Felicity decision was made primarily for the opportunity to maybe meet someone she can connect with….not that she’s interested in becoming anyone’s Sugar Baby!!!
Theodore Darcy, millionaire, movie producer, sexy, gorgeous and Hollywood’s golden boy agrees to his brother using his mansion to hold a Sugar Babies party. He’s not interested in attending.
Felicity is so not into the party and soon begins walking around the villa and on opening one door, comes across a piano. She’s mesmerized and sitting down, fills the room with the most haunting and beautiful music…..and that’s the first glimpse Theo gets of her….
I adored Theo – there was something inside him that made me want him to find happiness….and the care and patience he showed Felicity was so extraordinary…
The relationship between Theo and Felicity felt so real…there was nothing phony or weird about it. I believed in their feelings for each other.
I must admit that I felt pretty sad after the “turn” was revealed!! Pretty heartbreaking, gut-wrenching moments….I could feel the pain, see the tears in Felicity’s eyes…
This is a story about love, loss, pain, passion, lies, betrayals, friendship and so much more….what unconditional and true love can do….
Loved the author’s voice, her writing, her character and plot development, great dialogue, beautifully written sex scenes and awesome and vivid imagery.
And I loved the book title……
What are you waiting for??? Get this book right now!!! It’s a definite reread and keeper for me!!!

~4.5 BEAUTIFUL SUGAR BABY STARS!!!!~

Sugar Baby Beautiful is exactly what the title says...it's sweet and it's beautiful. This is my second J.J. McAvoy book and after reading this amazing book I am smacking myself for not finishing the Ruthless People Series before now. Why do I feel so strongly about this book? I am so glad you asked. The writing is fresh, raw, and easy to connect with.
Sugar Baby Beautiful was simply perfection at it's best. It's the type of read you want to curl up with your favorite blanket and read in one sitting. The best part is I HAD NO IDEA it was going to be such a fantastic read! I have faith in Ms. McAvoy to deliver a great story but I didn't realize it would be the type of book that I am reading at stoplights and reading in line at the grocery store because I couldn't put it down (Yes, I think my excitement over this book warranted that run on sentence.)! Looking for a book to make you smile, swoon, and get your libido pumping all in one breath? Look no further! One click this book now!
Felicity is a workaholic. She is a waitress, school janitor, and a phone credit card collector. She stays busy in order to feed the loneliness that she feels. After the probing and prodding of her two best friends, she decides to attend a Sugar Baby Party! Although, she is clearly not the typical "sugar baby material", she is simply a free spirit longing for a connection. At the party, a connection is exactly what she gets!
Theo is disgruntled by his brother's inept ability to always cause chaos and mayhem wherever he goes. He wasn't at all happy with the big "party" that was being held at his house. As soon as he meets Felicity, everything changes for him. He decides he is very interested in the party. Or more specifically, one girl at the party.
Theo and Felicity meet and an instant chemistry blooms between the two. The two explore their sexual desires with each other (insert extreme heat) and begin to form a tender relationship (insert warm and fuzzy feelings here). Eventually the relationship develops into so much more.
"This morning and last night was...wow. There was no other way to describe it. I felt like his private porn star. Dirty. Sexy. Sinful."-Felicity

Both Felicity and Theo have difficult pasts to work through. Now before you disregard this read as another "millionaire romance", let me assure you it is not at all what it seems. The twists and turns in this read were completely brilliant. At no point in time did I ever expect for the plot to veer in the direction it went. Theo and Felicity are both unforgettable characters. I absolutely adored the easiness they shared with each other. The free spirited Felicity has a "sassy glow" about her that makes this such an addicting read. I love a good hero but when the heroine is someone I would love to spend a "girls night out" with, I know I have hit the jackpot! Most importantly, I found the genuine sincerity in the relationship between Theo and Felicity is what kept me 100% engaged the entire read! There was no needless drama between the two (thank you!)!

Felicity is a girl fighting with herself just trying to move on life. When she finds herself for the first time in a “Sugar Baby Party” she realizes that world is not there. Theo is an heir and one of the most acclaimed Hollywood directors and in the end of the end he just wants a quiet life. So when he finds out that he’s brother is throwing one of those parties in his house he’s not very happy, but at least he gets to know Felicity.
Neither of them able to resist each other, they agree on a non-strings relationship with a end date… but as the end of their agreement approaches, they realize some things are not that easy to let go.
Wow, what an amazing surprise this book was!
An emotional and refreshing story about how a girl with some troubles and a nice guy that just want to live away from the stoplight fall in love. Well written, steamy and romantic this was without a doubt a great romance book.
I know this is marked as a stand-alone but I’m really hoping that will be a second installment. There were a lot of unfinished business and to be honest I feel like Theo and Felicity didn’t finish telling their story yet.
Rating: 4,5 Stars.
Characters Development: Felicity was a very nice heroine, especially considering all that was going in her life. She was sweet, and strong and I loved her sassiness. But Theo? Theo was freaking amazing. A sexy, powerful guy with a genuine golden heart he was one of the best heroes I’ve read in a while. He only prove that you don’t need a “bad boy” to make an amazing hero.

4 “I really liked it, but I am conflicted” Stars

Reading this with my TEXAS & my MANCHESTER. 💞💞 This is actually such a huge lie, I read it A-L-O-N-E because they abandoned mecries in a corner.
*Changing the rating from 3.5 to 4 because I can't stop thinking on how much I enjoy everything before the last twists and turns.
It started as a better 50 shades book, it became a really addictive and enjoyable romance and it ended with so many plot twists I was left dizzy and unsure.
If you are gonna pick up this book because you are intrigued by the whole sugar baby business, I don’t think this is the book for it. As contrary to the title and the synopsis makes this seem, the sugar baby business is so irrelevant at the end, is truly not even a conflict. This fact doesn’t make this a bad book, but I would have honestly further exploration in that area.
Now let’s first talk about the start of the book, aka 50 shades better twin. Okay, okay don’t kill me is not exactly the same, but you can’t deny the connections. And although I am not a huge fan of the 50 shades trilogy, this was good. A not annoying Anastasia, not intern monologues and an even hotter adopted without exactly a tragic past, rich Christian Grey. It contains lots of hot hot sex with some sprinkling of kinkiness but not exactly red bedroom level. Oh and lack of the helicopter trips but it does contain private jets and Harleys ( A better offer in my humble opinion.) Maybe I am outstretching it a bit, but I really don’t think so, the 50 shades vibes were very predominant at the start 50% of this book. I was a fan of how the relationship started as an agreement of only sex, fun and not feelings. The battle in the characters was well shown and I enjoy how Theo had this bad boy “alpha” side but he was still sweet and a gentleman. I was truly a fan of both characters, they were likable and strong.
Addictive and enjoyable. Are words I use to describe many of my romance reads, but seriously this catches you and time flies. I loved the different scenes/ dates/ sex the author gave us, it was certainly unrealistic but well constructed. For example, the acting plot in the movie and how Felicity ended up giving this life lesson to everyone was something I rolled my eyes at while smiling because although absurd I loved it. Every interaction between our main characters had the chemistry, angst, and sweetness I always want in my books. Truly everything was going so fine, this is an example of a book you end up not so sure but grow to be a huge fan of until, well….
The last 30 %. Which lead to all of the plot twists. To not spoil what they are I will just say I was so fine with the first one, it took me by surprise and I was invested on how it would develop but just the next to left a bad aftertaste in my mouth. I left feeling so unsatisfied and aching for more, which is usually a good thing but not in this one. This was such a shame because I was really loving it.
In conclusion, I definitely recommend this book, especially if you are looking for hot hot hot sex scenes. Theodore Darcy makes the whole billionaire appeal real to me, and they are not my usual type. I will be re-reading this in the future and for sure will be checking out other J.J. McAvoy books.

Felicity Harper was a young woman trying to live a fulfilling life on her own. She learned to take care of herself since teenager, even with mistakes along the way. When her best friends and roommate Cleo and Mark dragged her to a party, she never thought it would turn into something more than a passing.
Theodore Darcy was a Hollywood bigwig. Like Felicity, he was there at the party as an unwilling participant. He saw something in her that he wanted. What he didn’t know was that he barely scratched the surface until it was too late.
I ventured into this book with barely any knowledge of what it is about. Based on the blurb I thought it might be a straight to the point love story, but I’m glad it turned out differently.
Felicity was a no nonsense female. She was strong and independent and could put you in your place when she needed to. But beyond her façade, she had vulnerabilities that still haunting her from her past.
I’d say Theo would have been a perfect partner on the surface. He was successful without being an arrogant ass and he was very supportive. But personally, I think he might be too put together for my liking.
The story started really interesting. The two characters were in the relationship not what it originally intended to be. However, the excitement plateaued by the middle but right at the point of the twist, things got really good.
I thought this book could turn into a completely different direction – as in darker, which would make me extremely happy – but still, I am happy as it is. The final parts were intense and emotional. One thing I wish differently is for certain significant characters to get more appropriate closure because I think they deserve it.
One of my favorite scenes was the shower sex scene, which was scorchingly intense.
Sugar Baby Beautiful was sweet and heartwarming, but also hit you hard and taught you a lesson in taking chances.
Note:
Sugar Baby Beautiful is a standalone with a follow up novella about someone who didn’t get a closure, coming at the end of the year. I am looking forward to it. I hope it’s heartbreaking ;)

♦ 5 "Sugar Baby & Mr. Darcy" Stars! ♦
Ok, so I don't know why I haven't read this book until now because, as always, J. J. McAvoy gives her readers an amazing roller coaster of emotions!
McAvoy is becoming one of my favourite writers, I love her writing style and her strong-minded characters. Sugar Baby Beautiful was no excpetion. This novel tells the story of Theodore "Theo" Darcy a.k.a Mr Darcy (I know I know, Pride and Prejudice reference right there!!!) and Felicity Harper. These are two very different people that belong to different worlds. Theo is a famous film director, producer, writer and the CEO of Darcy Entertainment (I adore adore adore him!) and Felicity is a twenty-four year old woman that has three jobs and lives what seems to be a very normal life.
For the first time in a long time, I didn’t feel like I had to be Theodore Darcy from Los Angeles but just Theo Walker from Fresno. It was a good feeling, one I wanted to keep, and it was because of her.
She wasn’t a princess.
She was much better than that.
“You’re one of a kind, Theodore Darcy,” I whispered more to myself than him.
They meet and sparks fly. It was a very interesting first meeting! LOL After that, they start having 'no-strings-attached' sex but obviously, things get complicated, people get in the way and these two fall in love. And when you think everything is beautiful and peaceful BAM! Various difficult situations that Theo and Felicity have to endure to stay together and strong. OMG, J. J. McAvoy is the queen of that, I wasn't expecting that at all!
“Theo,” I said, not looking at him. “After the gala ask me out again.”
“And why should I do that?”
“Because you think you might love me.” I grinned. “And I’ll be one step closer to being a better me.” I took off.
“Felicity!” He chased after me, and I laughed.
I want to be better.
Another aspect that I really enjoy about this author is her characters, especially her main characters. Both Theo and Felicity are very strong characters, and they don't let other people get in their ways. I love how both, the male and the female protagonists are outstanding and brave (individually and also together). Of course, these two together are explosive and I can assure you girls, that you will love Mr Darcy ;) (who doesn't? haha)
“Where was I?” I asked, fucking her pussy with two fingers as her walls clenched tightly around me. I wanted nothing more than to ram myself deeply in her. “You wanted rights. Well, you have the right to moan my name, Felicity. You have the right to beg for more.”
Therefore, my final rating is 5 STARS because, as all the books written by this fantastic author, I really enjoyed this story, its characters and I loved the emotions that it provocked in me. And maybe you will think why not my special 6 stars rating for this book? Well I find that the ending could have been a little bit more. I loved it but I woulnd't have complained if I had just a tiny bit more! haha Obviously, I highly recommend this if you like McAvoy and also if you want a hot but emotional love story! :)

This book make me speechless.
The first half of the book --- sexy, hot, lovely
Felicity Harper was dragged to attend a sugar party by her roommates where she met the enigmatic CEO of Darcy Entertainment. She captured his attention by a soulful piano piece.
Theodore Darcy is the famed filmed producer and the last thing he wants is a woman who is interested to find a sugar daddy. But Felicity surprised him with her talent in arts and her disinterested in his wealth. Why is she even at the party in the first place?
I enjoyed their whirlwind romance. Everything seems so effortless and Theo is such a nice guy for a billionaire. And that kiss under the rain was so damn romantic. However, when things seems so great and dandy I'm anxiously waiting for the other shoe to drop. What is the game plan that J. J. McAvoy had in store for us?
Damn... I never see it coming for miles.
The last quarter of the book ---->
Be prepare to be mindfuck. I think I suffered some severe whiplash for the twist and turn by the end of the book.
If I were to state the minor issue I had with this book will be the lack of in depth into Theo's character. I mean this hero is easy to love, but I wish I get more of him, about his past with his ex-fiance and such.
I heard from J. J. that this is pretty much a standalone and a novella coming up later. There seems to be some unresolved issue with Theo's family. I need some closure about that and I'm looking forward to a more definitive HEA with an epilogue for Theo and Felicity.

I don't really know how to start my review of Sugar Baby Beautiful. Not because I have nothing to say. Not at all. It's probably the opposite. I could review this book from so many angles and I'm not even sure I would say it all.
If at some point you find yourself lost in my views, please excuse me because that probably means I'm still processing what I've read.
Sugar Baby Beautiful is a story I will keep with me for a long time simply because there are so many layers to this story, it's mind blowing.
When reading the blurb you think you know what kind of story it will be. A girl meeting unexpectedly a rich man in a party they both weren't supposed to be can only lead to have sex with no string attached.
But you couldn't be more wrong
Throughout my read, several times I thought I had everything figured it out. Yet I wasn't even close from the truth.
I've decided to stay vague about the whole plot because I think it could ruin the experience.
I know it can sound a little cliché and déjà-vu but some stories are really better when you know nothing or when you've read a few reviews.
Sugar Baby Beautiful is one.
“Everyone wants something from someone, especially someone like me.”
I've know J.J McAvoy's books ever since her Ruthless People series and she always had my support. With this book she literally outdid herself. It has come to my understanding that this one has a special meaning for her and I guess when writing she poured her heart in it and it shows.
Felicity and Theo's story is her best work to date for sure.
It saves to say that I fell in love with both characters. I was almost fangirling at Felicity and I never to that when it comes to a female character. EVER.
Felicity is a strong and sassy woman. I had an immense pleasure to see both characters challenge themselves in a funny way ALL THE TIME.
There's not an ounce of malice on her mind. She is loyal to herself and her believes.
She is very mysterious, she seems unapproachable but in reality she is protecting the people around her.
And she is protecting Theo even more once she realize there could be more with him
“Why is it supposed to be just sex?” “Because I’m not a good person,” I replied. “I’m going to hurt you.”
Theo is an alpha man with a tender heart. His family wouldn't agree with this statement but you'll see.
He has a bigger heart than any other man I've read. And that means a lot coming from me.

At the beginning I compared Felicity to Alayna from the Fixed trilogy because of one aspect she reminded me of.
And the fact that this idea crossed my mind and the fact I even thought about Hudson Pierce for Theo it's an even bigger deal for me.
J.J. McAvoy succeed to write a book that fully blown my mind in so many ways. I was stunned speechless to see where she wanted to lead me.
Felicity is so much more than a girl with 3 different jobs. She has many talents, she has beauty, she has strength to follow her own path and never looking back.
Meeting Theo is for sure the best thing that happened to her, not because he has money or because he can satisfy her every wish. Nope. It's because he can show her the right way.
He will push her boundaries.
She will be scared.
But when you are not alone, you are stronger.
And when they both realize their connection is beyond the sex part that leads them to the real deal.
I haven't talked about the actual off the chart sex. And If I didn't my review wouldn't be complete. To me, this part is certainly less important but that's how Felicity and Theo decided to begin their relation.
They are a lot of sexy moments. The sex is rough, demanding and even crude.
“We’re in a give-and-take relationship, Felicity.” He pulled me off the table. “So give. On your knees.”
At some point in the story Theo show two files a red and a blue one.
It reminds me of a scene in Matrix.
So what will you choose? Read or Blue? Read or Not? My advice? Take a chance

So for the first half of the book, I was swooning! I loved Felicity and Theo. Their chemistry was there . Then this book took a turn. That plot was explored for a bit but felt rushed.
Next thing you know, there’s an epilogue.
I mean, what?!
I was hoping that there would at least be a sequel. Or the book could’ve been longer to explore the mental health themes and the family aspect. Plus our main characters relationship.
But it came to an abrupt ending for me.
I’m annoyed. 😑

So I just finished Sugar Baby Beautiful and all I can say is
This book was so GOOD! One of the best book I read this year !
When you read the blurb, you think this will be a typical love story of the millionaire making a deal with a girl and then they fall in love, bla bla bla...
I admit I was wrong, I thought I knew how the story was gonna go and I was wrong and I loved it. Brace yourself for some shocking twists.
I am not going to go in details about what happens in the story, I think it's better to go in blind.
But I will say is you will not be disappointed and won't be able to put book down.
Before I go, I just want to say THEODORE J. DARCY is one fine man and I wouldn't mind doing dirty things with him!
Also I want to point out so there is no confusion, Theo is mine!

4.5 Unconditonal Stars
I'm not sure where to begin.......this story is so much more than I could have ever imagined. I went in reading and was complete sucked punched.
First and for most, the love story in this book is amazing. There are so many underlying circumstances that it's hard to review this book. I think that the basis to this story is extraordinary......do you need to know before you read......NO WAY!! I would not have wanted to know. Read the blurb and jump in!!!
I will say that Felicity is an incredibly strong and broken heroine. I love that she is sassy yet vulnerable. She is a girl that knows she has issues but when she meets the man of her dreams, she doesn't want to drag him into her hell so tries to push him away. She doesn't deserve happiness.
Theo.....what can I say about him that is worthy. He is a strong and caring man who finds a connection with Felicity and goes for it. I fell in major love with him. He is just perfect in so many ways.........his charm, his determination, his sex appeal all make him a man of gold.
Together, Felicity and Theo have chemistry. They start out as a "sex only" relationship. They have quick banter, they make each other toe the line, and they bring out the best in each other. While they see the dynamics of their relationship changing, Felicity pulls back. Theo lets her and just waits......for he knows that Felicity has to want it in order for them to work. But this isn't your usual love story; it has major twists and turns. The kind that makes you say....This Can’t Be Happening.....REALLY......OMG!!!! It is sad and gut wrenching but in that same breath, it is hopeful and incredibly moving. The love in this book is Unconditional and Beautiful.
I have read JJ McAvoy's books from the beginning. I love her story telling and with each book I see amazing growth. I love that she is open to her fans. I had a few issues with the ending. But after discussing with her and finding out that there was going to be a novella later in the year, I was completely happy. I know that not all books should end in complete resolve but sometimes it is needed when certain subjects are brought up. JJ is definitely an up and coming author, one that everyone should check out!!!

I Confess...I wanted to read this book because I thought it would be one of those billionaire-meets-innocent-girl kinda of books...my guilty pleasure. So, imagine my surprise when it wasn't! It definitely starts out that way but then, oh my!
Felicity is convinced by her best friends and roommates to attend a "sugar baby" party...basically where sexual favors are exchanged for any number of things. Fairly simple right? But this isn't really Felicity's thing and after her roommates take off, so does she...and right into a room with a piano. A piano that she can't possibly not play so she lets herself go wild. The only problem is she's not alone.
Theo can't believe what he is seeing and hearing. He's never been so affected and he needs to know more about Felicity. But Felicity just wants sex, sex in exchange for...nothing, just more sex! She even gives Theo the song she just composed.
These two can't stay away from each other and their scenes were quite steamy. I was surprised that quite a few were fade to black and definitely surprised at what a back-door lover Theo was! ;)
Things go along pretty smoothly for the two...they have a great week out of town on a movie set and they really get to know each other. Felicity can't just let things lie though and she doesn't want things to get too deep, although that might be too late for Theo.
Then the drama happens....
Annnddd...let me stop you right there. We all like reading reviews but really this is the type of book you need to go into blind. It will make things so much more rewarding if you can just sit back and read!
I quite enjoyed what happened and a bit shocked. The first "twist" was a little sad and it made me worried. How could this work? But...the second 'twist" made me happy. Unfortunately, it also left me with a lot of unanswered questions. However, I'm glad how everything else was resolved.
And holy hell...Theo's "parents" were hard to take which I didn't expect at all! Luckily, I really enjoyed Theo's "brothers".
The epilogue was wonderful although quite short. I guess I just didn't want it to end. Maybe we will get a book about a brother? ;)

'Ruthless People' was an amazing series, I loved it and I'm waiting not so patiently for 'Children of Vice' but yet I'd not read anything else by this author and now I'm asking myself why.
I did check her other books but none of them really appealed to me but recently I've noticed some good reviews coming through for this and decided to give it a try.
Since there's already so many reviews I'll keep mine brief and forego my usual summary and just give my thoughts.
This book grabbed me straight away and within a few pages I was hooked. Felicity was a bit of an enigma and Theodore Darcy was amazing, the more I read about him the more I liked him.
I did think at one point I was going to struggle with Felicity she just seemed too perfect, she speaks perfect French, knows her wines, is apparently a musical savant and then it turns out she dances better than a professionally trained dancer. It was all getting a bit too much but she still was a mystery and I was totally in love with Mr Darcy (but then with a name like Darcy what did I expect) so I continued on, being honest I couldn't have stopped if I'd wanted to I was too invested by this point.
Thankfully it's all explained and I'll be honest this book surprised me a couple of times although I would have liked more at the end.

I have no idea how I missed that his name is Mr Darcy! So while reading I'm picturing Mr Darcey from Pride and Prejudice...
But I'm also getting vibes from...
All the spanking had me rolling my eyes...
Then some tying up....
Then more spanking....
Oh and Felicity is perfect! She can dance like a professional ballerina with hardly any training, play the piano like Mozart and can even compose her own music with little effort and the icing on the cake....she can also act! Ta...daaaa....

Damn this book....
I just couldn't put it down. This book was awesome. Problem is...I can't say to much about it, because you should go into this one as blind as possible. I will leave you with all other reviews to know what the story is about, but I do recommend, you don't read any spoilers. I sure as hell didn't read any and I always sneak a peek.
I loved the hero and heroine...yes you read that right....the heroine did not annoy me !! That alone should make me give it 5 stars !!
I can tell you this much. This book made me laugh, cry swoon and bite my nails. It's also heavy on the steam..yummy...
I would definately recommend this one to everybody. 5 stars from me !!!

"Sometimes it felt like the only thing holding me together was my skin."
This is this kind of book, which is hard to write a standard review. It is refreshing and unforgettable reading. I give it five stars thanks to the emotions that triggered in me. Because it's not perfect, but the author has her own way of writing books and you just like it or not. I already know that I'm a big fan!
I do not want to write much about the story, I think the description says it all, and that what is not - just worth reading yourself. I can however tell something about my feelings.
I was very excited about starting this. The beginning is really smashing. Unable to break away. Somewhere in the middle I thought something was wrong. I lost my connection and everything seemed too crazy and too strange. Only to then... be knockout. It's completely shocked me, and I started to analyze the whole book again and again. Just wow!
What I can say more I have this feeling that this book ended too soon! Can we get a book about Arty? I hope, because otherwise it completely was not necessary to recall. And I really would have wanted more of the relationship Theo and Felicity "after" these things. There are still a lot of things to say.
In the books for me the most important is whether it can trigger emotions in me, and this book regardless of errors or trivial and strange moments caused an enormous amount of them. Definitely this is not a average romance, it is something more.

I've been wondering if I should even attempt a review for this.
Going to make it a quickie.
Everyone else seemed to love.
But for me...
I powered through to find out what this crazy twist was.
I'll give the author credit for the turn of events. I did not see that coming.
Without knowing that friends have loved and that there was something unexpected that took place, there is no way I would have gotten to the 10% mark.
I won't go into all of the things that were amiss for me, but let's just say the insta-lust, the cliché characters, and the lack of connection were the strongest reasons why I was not a fan.
After the 70% reveal, I do understand what got everyone's attention, and I was able to tolerate the rest of the book. I've had many cases where I've said this, and I feel it applies to this as well. If it was executed differently, I may have enjoyed it more. There is a decent story once you sort through all of the other stuff.
I truly do understand why it was a winner for most, so I'm simply going to say, that it just wasn't my personal thing.

This story is so much more than what you expect. It’s one of the many reasons why this book endears to me so much. You think you got the story figured out, but then J.J. McAvoy takes you another ride and then bam! surprise hits you in the face when it’s not it’s supposed to be. This is like a wild ride, and yet you get to realize why this is Sugar Baby Beautiful.
It’s what this makes it a page turner for me. The mystery. The slow build up to something heartbreaking and beautiful. And as the mystery is unraveled, there is still something there that makes your heart race and skip a beat because you feel like there is something more. Well, there is really.
“Tonight we unleash Felicity Harper into the world.”
I like Felicity. Her ability to know what she wants and go for it, confident, intelligent and something else.
“I don’t need a gentleman, Theo. I need an alpha.”
I’m not really sure how to do this. I’m a bit selfish because I wanted this to be about just Felicity. But Theo, I love the man. And I can’t just take him for granted. Gah, if you won’t fall in love with him, you’re a tragedy waiting to happen. Seriously, that’s just means you’re blind.
“There is a wild side to all of us. Why not indulge a little?”
It’s another reason why I love this book. I had fun, I had a laugh, and I experience the different movie clichés. And I get to realize that broken alpha men were so cliché and yet we still fall for them. But yes, that is cliché that Theo decided he doesn’t want to be that man and yet I still love him.
My most favorite part of this book, was the most cliché scene in every romantic movie. I know, right?

I’m not really ready to write any review yet, and I’m still having a hard time organizing my thoughts. That doesn’t mean I don’t have much to say and I’m grasping with words, but because I’m feeling a high , let me take what the heroine said to explain the high drug addicts feel to what I actually feel at the moment: everything is beautiful in that one moment, and there’s so much words in my head that I wanted to crawl up and find a UF book to escape that high.
Well, I felt that this book pressures me to make an effort to express what I feel not because it was given as an ARC, but because I was moved and inspired and I felt so much more in this moment.
I’ll write an update, what I’m saying may change, add some arts because I’m seeing this beautiful picture in my head, a beautiful moment, and even if I read something soon, the thoughts and the words will still be embedded in my mind until I’m able to transfer those stuff into something graphic.
I’m making this mellow, but deep inside I’m freaking out, screaming and God knows what else. There is so much going on in this story that I wanted to just blurt out everything but I don’t want to spoil anyone’s reading. I guess what I’m saying is that, this is Sugar Baby Beautiful and I hope I’ll be able to see this in the big screen.

4.5 Sugar Sweet and Sexy Stars!
I really needed this book. I had it on the kindle for a while but my one-click addiction and arc commitments kept pushing it back. Making a pact with myself to finally read for pleasure, I knew McAvoy would not disappoint and BOOM...she reminded me how good it is to just sit back, take my time and read.
This author is so unique. She always brings 100% entertainment with her writing not only through her flawed, somewhat hard to get characters, but also her out of the box relationships that make you think and question what you are reading. Theo Darcy (don't you just love that name?) and Felicity Harper are so freaking cool. Completely smart and sassy. Fun yet serious. All out sexy and unashamed.
This book is about taking what you need. Living for the moment and experiencing a touch of greatness without any of the complicating strings and emotions. A rich entertainment CEO and a minimum wage jack of all trades gal...what could they possibly have in common...THE HOTTEST SEX EVER! But be prepared for a bit of heart tugging and OMG moments of despair...kinda predictable that the "no strings" was not gonna last, but the strings that bonded them...the way they came together...their pasts and presents...everything made the predictable completely unpredictable.
There are plenty of truly amazing and beautiful reviews for this read that will provide the summary or the tale with stunning imagery and profound quotes...I have liked the majority of them!!! All I can do is simply add to the fact that I too found this read to be a Great One!

HOLY HELL talk about a book delivering something completely different and unexpected to what we had imagined. First things first, PLEASE GO INTO THIS BOOK BLIND! This is one of those reads where you really do need to allow the author and her story to lead you and if you do you’ll be well rewarded….not to mention, you’ll be hit for six!
We loved everything about this book. We loved the story, we loved the characters and we loved the unpredictable direction the author took us in!

“The real question is, why aren’t you, Theo?”
As we started to read Sugar Baby Beautiful, we expected a steamy romance where a damaged CEO billionaire meets a troubled beautiful young woman type read……you know…..they have HOT sex (oh boy do they have HOT SEX), fall in love…basically we were expecting a straightforward VERY steamy romance! Whilst we got all that….we were also treated to a whole lot more and we should’ve known J J McAvoy would have something hidden up her clever sleeve!

We could not anticipate where this author was taking us and as the story progressed we found ourselves ensnared in her story, completely invested in the characters, ordering takeaway to keep the family at bay and unable to move from our Kindles for a minute. We both finished Sugar Baby Beautiful in ONE SITTING. Honestly, we COULDN’T PUT IT DOWN! Wow!
“The lover and the alpha. I was going to show her she could have both.’
The characters were beautifully written and drew us in every step of the way. Theo Darcy….oh Mr Darcy…he of the black hair, green eyes, alpha with a touch of possessiveness and sweetness, with a net worth of $32 billion who left us a babbling mess. This man is pure sin and sex with a big dash of mystery and charm thrown in.
‘I had seen men who knew they were attractive, but he looked like sex. Like he had just had it, he was going to have it again, and he had mastered it.’
Felicity Harper was such an intriguing character. We really couldn’t get a handle on this young woman who appeared to be living a life that didn’t reflect her accomplishments. She certainly kept us on our toes!
