The complete Navarre Bible series should be in every Catholic library, in fact, every Christian library, especially those who have a particular interest in biblical studies. A fine, concise introduction is followed by copious commentary relying greatly on the Fathers, great saints, and Josemaria Escriva.

I finished (finally!) the Acts of the Apostles and really learned a lot from the Navarre commentary. I have really felt closely drawn to St. Paul from reading Acts and am trying to discern which of his epistles to begin next with the Navarre commentary. If you all have any suggestions, please let me know...I am thinking about 1st and 2nd Corinthians or Romans...as I have never read them in the Navarre format.

Like all the volumes in the series this is a good introductory commentary focusing both on doctrine and devotion.
