***Warning: This book contains serious and sensitive subjects such as mental health issues, and unimaginable loss. Although this is a standalone, I do recommend reading the series in order because all characters subsequent stories continue on in each book even though they are not the main focus. ***

Psychotherapist, Madelyn St. Claire, has all the answers. At least, that’s

Oh, this may have to be my favourite of the series - and I love them all. Without a doubt a three tissue read, possibly more - and laugh, oh, out loud and from the heart. If you have not read the previous books, then please, do read them first. There is a whole level of information which you will miss if you don't. Let alone two also fabulous reads which it would be a mistake to miss. I am not going to give you any more

What another home run from Jacquelyn Ayres! Crossing the Line is the third book in Ayres’ GEG series, and I can’t say enough good things about this series. After picking up the first book in this series (Under Contract) I was completely addicted to Ayres writing style and these characters. Crossing the Line focuses on GEG “captain” Maddie and the Viking. This book is so much more than a romantic story, there are times when this book will leave you in stitches from the antics of the GEGs and at o ...more

I seriously swear Jacquelyn Ayres has been listening to mine and my sister's conversations every morning. She just nails humor! I have loved every book I've read of hers. They're full of solid friendships, humor, serious sh*t, and mainly love. Maddie and Declan's story might be my favorite. After all the crap Declan has been through he needed someone patient like Maddie. Their story is rocky but its so worth it. The transformation in Hunter is amazing too. I just love how the story is written. L ...more

Great characters

The third book in the GEG series, this is Madelyn "Maddie" St. Claire's story. A therapist specializing in phobias, she meets Declan Pierce in the waiting room of the office she shares with other therapists and promptly nicknames him "the Viking". Actually Australian, Declan plays the cello for the Boston Pops Orchestra, and his son has been seeing a therapist in Maddie's office. Listening to Maddie talk about her crazy group of friends gives him a much-needed sense of n

I fell in love with this series when I read book one, Under Contract, and I've never looked back. I was waiting rather impatiently for Maddie's story and when it finally released I couldn't get started fast enough. I was rewarded with a book that made me laugh and cry and reminded me of the definition of true friendship.

This book is all the things we've come to expect from the GEG's. It is laugh out loud funny and full of WTF? moments. But it is also so much more. This story is heartbreaking and

This story is a little bit different to the 1st two books in this series.

This is Maddie’s Story. Well, Maddie & Declan’s story.. I have to say, as an Aussie, I really got Declan because his character is from the land down under!
This book contains the usual Jacquelyn Ayres humour but it also has a more serious tone to it at times.

We see a completely different side to Maddie in this story. We see her at her best & also at her worst. Of course the rest of the GEG’s are pres

You know when you go from "Oh..." and fanning yourself to laughing out loud all within the first couple of pages that you're on to a really good thing! That's just how I felt starting Crossing the Line!
First, we start out with Maddie and Declan going at it... then...
~"What on earth were you thinking about?" He chuckles lightly.
I could easily tell him that I was lost in the thought of our impromptu "session" earlier, but he probably won't remember it to reminisce along with me. That's because he

This may be my favorite book of this series.

Madelyn, like most of us, lives to help her friends and her patients get their affairs in order but forget to take care of herself. I love her fighting spirit and sense of humor, also the sensibility and vulnerability that lives inside of her. Declan is a talented musician and a single father. He lives for his boy and you can feel the love he has for him and how worried he is for his boy. They both went through a traumatic episode in their lives and li

The third book in the GEG series did not disappoint! This series is funny, romantic, and relatively realistic.
I love reading about these girls, and their friendship/relationships.

This book [finally] features Madelyn and THE VIKING!!!!! Honestly, I couldn't wait to read this. If you've followed the series then you know the build-up between these two has been relentless.

I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads.

I knew reading the first chapter of Crossing the Line that this would be a 5 star read because I was reading in on a train and laughing hysterically. More than once Crossing the Line had me laughing so hard I cried. And I have to mention the group text scene - it is gold.

But with the fun times comes a deep heartbreaking low that even a day after finishing the book, brings me to tears thinking about I think about it.

This is such a fun book. It has it's moments of sweet and definitely is full of emotion. If you've been following the GEG's you know that the stories touch on all your emotions.

Crossing the Line follows Maddie and Declan. I've been dying to read this one. There has been a lot of build up and Ms Ayres completely delivered. I love the dynamic of their friendship. I love seeing more of the men in this one. They are just as

Jacquelyn Ayres’s “Crossing the Line” is the third book in the Green-Eyed Girls (GEG) series. Maddie and Declan! Love, love, love this #3! Declan is so broken and sexy you'll have to change your undies! As usual, there are amazing pop culture references and lots of funny stuff. Some of the surrounding storyline with the other GEGs has some heartbreaking moments...but I wouldn't have it any other way...the stories in this series feel so real. I can't wait to read #4! ...more

“Make love epic!”
“There is a fine line between misery and happiness. The problem is; crossing the line over to happiness can seem a lot scarier than staying on the side of misery.”
This is the third book in the GEG (Green Eyed Girl) Series by Jacquelyn Ayres, I have read all of them in order up till now, and I would I highly recommend that anyone interested in reading the series do the same. Jacquelyn Ayres GEG Series has been one of my favorites to read and experience. These books are so fun, so authentically real, and they never fail to give me a reading experience that I whole heartedly love. This series has made me laugh my butt off with the antics this group of friends get into, it's allowed me to go through so many life changes and unforgettable moments with them, and it has allowed me to feel like I am a part of their group going through it all with them. Crossing the Line by Jacquelyn Ayres is the third book in her The GEG series which are romantic comedies. I have liked reading this series and I liked this one more because I love single Dad romances (do not judge). I had an expectation for this book and I thought I knew where it was headed, but I did not get it right. I would also like to point out that at times I felt it was frivolous.

I would have also liked more scenes with Hunter in, but it was not too much of a loss with him not being in it much.

Wow, Wow, Wow!!! Crossing the Line, the third book in the GEG series was fantastic. It made me cry. . . twice!! And getting me to cry once is difficult. What an amazing author Jacquelyn Ayres is.
She takes her characters and molds them right into your heart and head. This book drew me into the GEG’s lives and held me there. I literally could not put it down.
I absolutely love the characters in this series and I especially love Maddie in this book. She is the glue that holds the GEG’s together.

This series never dissapoint. I seriously cant get enough of the GEGs and wish I could be their friend haha. Each book I love watching the girls and their men mend each others hearts and open their hearts to love. Very realistic. I cant wait for Julie's story to be told next but I am going to be so devastated when I'm finished reading this series. My heart is so inv ...more

Maddie meets her perfect man goodlooking, charming, good listener and just leaves her wanting more. When maddie has her one free hour she spends it talking to declan which she really enjoys. Maddie ends up telling declan so much about herself and when she tries to find out about the mysterious declan he completely shuts down on her leaving her deflated and makes her feel like the chemistry she feels is just one sided. What is he hiding? Declan really do like maddie and he wants to open up to her ...more

Wow! Crossing the Line is the third book in the GEG series. While it follows a different character, I'd suggest reading in order as these stories do follow each other and things will be ruined from previous books.
Maddie is the "captain" of the GEG's, and everyone usually comes to her with their issues, which she doesnt mind as its her job after all. But when her own issues come to a head, who is there for her? Meeting Declan, at work of all places, he was eye candy for a while until they starte

Crossing the Line is book 3 in the 3 books series entitled The GEG by Jacquelyn Ayres. I was crazy anxious to read this book. I have already read Book 1, and maybe should stay in some sort of order because it’s evident these stories belong in a series, however, patience isn’t always my strong suit. This series brings the crazy! Crossing the Line is the third book in the GEG series full of standalone books. These women are crazy bitches and I fucking love it! The top reason for loving them is because they own it! They might be a crazy group but they are the best friends anyone could ask for. Ok...now, if you have read the other books then you know who The Viking is. If not, well...he is the hot Australian that Maddie daydreams about on a daily basis.

Jacquelyn Ayres writes epic love stories. Not just the romantic kind where boy meets girl and whatnot – which she does and does it really well. But she also writes about a love story between friends that spans decades full of major life events.
