You never know what kind of surprises life's going to throw at you, some for the better, some for the worse. If you asked Kertt Vaughn, he'd go with the latter. The surprises just keep adding up, and the Rellian/Amarillan/human hybrid can't seem to get with it. The biggest surprise of all? His fated mate. The abrasive, feisty female he finds himself saddled with isn't exactly what he'd envisioned when he pictured himself finding his soul mate. His mate, it seems, isn't all that impressed with him either, and with her blunt manner and speech lets him know just that. Was there a mix up somehow? Could the fates really be so cruel? The universe must have it out for the green male as he and his mate are tossed together, a kind of cosmic kismet, forcing them to take a good, long look at what could be. More is at play than what it seems, and only time will tell. Will Kertt ultimately decide to keep and claim his female? Or will he decide it's for the best and let her go? The stars will align and the moons will shine as they these two stumble and curse their way to their final destination. 'Til death do us part has never seemed so literal until you throw a Quintchauk in the the mix.
Reader Advisory: This book contains explicit sexual content, plenty of cursing, mild violence, stupidity and silliness- so beware, and plenty of people popping in from your favorite previous books to say, "What's up."
This was not a science fiction book. Yes it was about aliens but aside from the weird sex traditions and organs there was no other real alien culture in this book. This was a book with a ton of talking. And arguing. Talk talk talk talk talk. I skimmed a great deal of it and still found it boring. This should have been a DNF. Not recommended.
I have **LOVED** other books by this author. So do please check out two other books of hers: Of Another Dimension & Bridal Hunt.
I hate to give this author a bad review because I have and like all her other books and I'm always checking for new releases but this book was way to long, super confusing, pages of ramblings and so many characters. I got so bored with it and had to force myself to keep going back to finish it.
It is a shame to because if you break the story down to the H and h, you would like it. Sorry but I don't recommend it.
Don't you dare miss out on this one!!!! Worth Every Moment Of Reading AND EVERY CENT TO BUY IT!! Completely filled with humorous dialogues and thoughts, plenty of crazy situations that continually keep you laughing, while sexual tension and sizzling hot interactions all keep your complete attention to every line. Absolutely love Jeanette's writing style and can't wait for her next wonderful creative and humorous storylines making her books an absolute pleasure and a must buy for your own reading pleasure. Absolutely recommending this awesome enjoyable series!!!!
I admit I felt sorry for Kertt and was glad he got a second chance. I laughed so much reading Collide, but there are definitely some heartbreaking scenes. Jaye is just hilarious, the garden is mind-bogglingly wrong, and the kids are awesome. There is a lot of graphic sex in this one, and not just on the part of the younger generation. Kismie and Kerrt are the most fascinating of the hybrids. I was disappointed that Leid doesn't have his own book, but we are shown his mate.
