Worth it. Good way to be able to teach yourself about chemistry - if you’re into that stuff.

I liked the structure in this book. Trolled through the latter half of it and, unless something went horribly wrong on my final exam, attained an A.

No longer using this website, but I'm leaving up old reviews. Fuck Jeff Bezos. Find me on LibraryThing: https://www.librarything.com/profile/...

I read this book as part of two aborted nursing prerequisites at a university I promptly dropped out of three weeks before I finished the classes. Before you get the "watch out we got a bad ass over here" face on, I stopped taking these classes because I didn't need them for the nursing program I had gotten into at another school, which was quite a step up from the school I had been attending while reading this book.

I was taking these classes (and therefore reading this book) because they were standing in between me and being a nurse. Having taken 10 credits of organic chemistry and 8 credits of general chemistry in my past, taking these two 3 credit courses (no labs!) would have been a joke for me if it wasn't for the fact that this book was so goddamn boring. The "joke" of these classes became a pain in my ass.

I've seen (and read!) worse textbooks. But because of how much time and money was wasted surrounding this book and the classes I had to take which are associated with it, I'm giving it the lowest rating I can.
