His inspiration. His torment. And his temptation...
Jasmine Taveras is the reason Sarge Purcell grabbed his six-string and bailed the hell out of New Jersey four years ago. She's the fuel for every song he's ever written-each one laced with bitter, hard-edged, hungry lust. Now, with his hugely successful band is on t ...more
When you talk to fellow readers about the Brazen imprint, Tessa Bailey's name is one of the first that always comes up when authors are discussed. And if I go back to the early days when Tessa was writing her Line of Duty series, the books were entertaining and full of banter and build up. You were given the time to get to know the players and the sexy-times and inevitable 'dirty talking' were a very welcome addition.
But for me lately the books s ...more

In sports and betting there are specific terms to identify something amazingly special, like a "Trifecta, Triple Crown or Grand Slam..."With this book and the character Sarge, Tessa Bailey "Hit it out of the Park"... There I go doing it again...Let me explain.
This book addresses:
The older woman/younger guy
The Dreams destroyed and now what
Loving your best friend's brother...
All of these are there plus the added bonus part ...more
Ride me, use me, come on me. God knows I've used the thought of you to come for a fucking decade."
When I heard that Tessa Bailey will be starting a new Brazen series, to say I was thrilled would be a mild understatement. Her dirty talkers are my crack of choice and I'll never get enough. Seriously. I've said it before and I'll say it again, Tessa Bailey books make my ovaries happy. I absolutely loved the setup for this series, and I already know the next books in it will be on my auto ...more
I must be upfront with you, I didn’t even read the blurb when I requested to review this book. And this for 2 reasons.
First, it’s a Brazen Book. And I’m self professed Brazen slut, to put it honestly.
Second, It’s Tessa mother fucking Bailey. And I’m addicted to her alpha heroes, their dirty talking ways and feisty heroines.
So, sue me, I didn’t read the blurb but hey, I like surprises!
And truthfully, up until 15% in the book I was agreeably surprised.
The hero, Sarge, is back in town af ...more
The younger man/older woman is a favorite trope of mine and Tessa Bailey has written a winner.
“You think I could stop? I’d sell my fucking soul to watch you come.”
Sarge Purcell’s teenage dreams and heart was filled with Jasmine Taveras, but she never saw him as anything but her best friend’s little brother that she sometimes had to babysit. So as soon as high school ended Sarge hightailed it out of New Jersey, broken-hearted with only his guitar and the lust filled songs Jas inspired. Now...more

"I might be younger, but I'm not young. I'm a man and I'm fucking you blind. I'm your man. Say it."
When I first read the blurb of Crashed Out by Tessa Bailey, I was immediately sold and excited to get my hands on this book. And let me tell you, Tessa Bailey did not disappoint me at all. And how could she when I was already sold with the premise of an older woman hooking up with a much younger man, who happens to be her best friend's little ...more
Hell, I am one. Yea. Seven years, b!tches. Same amount of time separates me from my husband of 20 years as separates the hero and the heroine. But here's the kicker...it ain't nothing but a thing. Never has been and may never be. What do I know? I can't forsee the future.
Sexy times: Jaysus. Try every other page. Hotty hotterson.
Plan on reading more by the author: Yep. Those Scandalicious women tempted me to jus ...more
Yes, people, I can now confirm, seeing this is Tessa...
I’m gonna go ahead and just say it, Sarge is like a beast in heat when it came to Jasmine, and I was all for it! HAH!
Ooof, it’s like Tessa took out her big smut gun and just let out with this one. I haven’t gotten to all of Tessa’s work yet but so far, I think this is one of hottest I’ve read of her books, ooof!
With Sarge returning to his hometown after being gone for a while, enough years ...more
Serge was an amazing hero, who went for what he wanted and had no doubts about it. He was willing to wait, fight, persuade and do everything else if it insured that the woman he loved would stay with him. The only thing he wasn't willing to do was give up. I seriously loved him, and never felt like he was a 22 year old guy. He was mature, c ...more
I had an issue with the organization of the story and the way Bailey plopped me down in the middle of it. I kept checking to make sure I was reading book 1.
Characters: Jasmine and Sarge are the MCs. I have no idea who these MCs are. Bailey did not properly introduce us. I wanted the best for Jas and Sarge and ...more
Crashed Out is exactly why I LOVE Tessa Bailey’s books! It’s lusty, funny and filled with lots of real emotion and heart. And an older woman/younger man theme? YES, PLEASE!!
I SWOONED over Sarge. He left town years before as a shy, introverted teenager and has now returned to town a rock star. He has come back to visit his sister and her child and take a break from the pressures of band life. But even though he is now famous, he has never forgotten his older sister’s best friend, Jasmine ...more
Reviewed for herding cats & burning soup.
Oh my god. I would love for one of Bailey's heroes to come talk dirty in my ear. *shivers* The things he said! Whew, girl. Tingles. Yeah. Lotta tingles. lol Crashed Out will make you swoon!
Okay so the quick of it is that Sarge made it big as a musician after leaving his small Jersey town. For the last few years has been on the road with his band and not come home to visit his family. But he has helped them financially so ...more
I finally tried an author that I came across so often and I guess I chose the wrong book to start, perhaps her Line of Duty stuff would have been better...I don't know, I am not familiar with the whole Brazen format anyway.
There was a lot I expected to love in the tropes department, I was really looking forward to it: age gap (older woman with younger man), loving a best friend's sibling, being reminded to pick up your dreams and passions, a first love never for ...more

Hooooly god. I think… this is the hottest book of Tessa Bailey’s yet (and if you’ve read her books, you know this is saying something). Gah, I loved Crashed Out so much! Tessa never ceases to amaze me, but this book blew me away. Hands down, this is my new favorite Brazen book from her (I’m sorry, Derek!). I’ve been a huge fan of Tessa’s since the beginning of the year when I marathon’ed all her dirty, dirty books, and she’s become an auto-buy author for m ...more

I don't typically go for the older woman and younger man trope. Not that I disagree with it, but it just doesn't always work for me. I'm happy to say that wasn't the case here.
Sarge has a permanent position in my book boyfriend file. That mouth... Mmm.
I liked Jasmine a lot, and while I felt the effect of her struggle, it wasn't overdone, and I appreciate that.
Everything was just right. Except that I wish it had been longer.

This was ABOVE THAT!
"Crashed Out" is the story of Jasmine and Sarge.. and WOW.

My first book from Ms. Bailey. I will read another before I decide how I feel about her writing.
May-December-ish trope...7 year gap. Older sister's best friend h and much younger friend's brother H played out against a rockstar background. No OW/OM...minimal drama. This is totally safety-gang-safe and if you are hardcore H/h with no OW/OM exceptions of any kind, consider adding this to your pile.
