I received this book in a Goodreads giveaway.

I really enjoyed this book, and found it to be an inspirational lift as I recover from open heart surgery and being mentally preparing to return to work within the next 4-6 weeks. This book would be beneficial for anyone undergoing a transition or change.

The book relies on 5 simple action steps. As a health educator, Weidel's model reminded me a little of a generic programming model: assess your problems, plan, implement, evaluate/assess success and f

The biggest joke I've read in a book recently:

Donald Trump gets up at 5: 00 a.m. every day. It’s time-consuming to stay informed. He reads stacks of newspapers, cuts out relevant articles, and passes them on to his staff for follow-up. He thinks it gives him an advantage, and it does.

I give this book 3.5 stars. There is a chapter for each action:
1. Don't Hesitate, Decide
2. Don't Just Do It, Overdo It
3. Don't Quit, Adjust
4. Don't Just Start, Finish
5. Don't Settle, Keep Improving

Then within each chapter are more actions and some inspirational quotations and stories. All the actions are basic. Essentially, you need to constantly move forward towards a goal, be good at what you do, deliver quality results, adjust if needed, and start the cycle again.

ABSOLUTE GOLD!!!

Fantastic tips and guidelines which are simple to understand. The hard part is DOING them consistently. Mr. Weidel provides reasons and examples making his "cycle" undeniably grounded.

Great book.

It's an inspiring book , though it sounds repetitive regarding some topics. For those who are seeking for worldviews to adopt in their own lives, from the standpoint of winners, I highly recommend that book.

Good Pep Talk

Solid information explained in a clear cut pattern. To sum the book up......

Decide, Overdo, Adjust, Finish, Keep Improving.

Those are the keys.

The main idea of this book is to always be working to be better. To be a serial winner you need to keep trying and not become discouraged. If one way does not work, try another.

Helpful. At times really to the point.

Didn't find the writing engrossing at all, sadly. Solid advice, just could've been served better.

Still, should be worth your while. It's a 3.5/5.

This was a motivational speech, not a the practical book I thought it would be. It's about believing you can do it, and being willing to get up and try again when things go wrong, and learning from people who have already succeed (rather than listening to those who haven't).

It's not wrong or poorly written. But there's nothing new and it's not 5 "actions". It's five mindset shifts. Oh well.

This is a book that carry the self-help label with pride. It has most of the strong points you come to expect form the genre, and also some of the flaws.

As with most books dealing with self-improvement, the core ideas could easily be laid out in a couple of pages. 10% of the book is about the methodology and core notions on how to become a serial winner, and 90% is a bunch of stories, anecdotes, phrases and examples to support it.

This one consists in five simple truisms that make a good framewo

Inspiring and practical

If you want a great overview of the habits and attitudes of consistent winners, look no further. This book was inspirational, and it also made me take an honest look at my weaknesses and fears, which have prevented me from achieving many goals in life. I've been forced to recognize where my attitude has fallen short and my actions have been insufficient to give me momentum. As little as I like reading self-help books, this one was chock full of excellent advice, and I am a

This is a great book full of wisdom on the principles of success. Anyone interested in doing more, being more and achieving more in life should read this book. Its simplicity belies the deep and profound truths within. Applying these principles will no doubt turn the reader, and more importantly, the DOER, into a serial winner.

First, I received this book in a Goodreads giveaway. (Thank you!) This book has given me mental tools to become a "serial winner." You know, those people who are driven and successful and always doing something to better their lives. I want to be one, and this book lets me see the steps in which I (ME!) can also be successful and driven. There is hope !!! ...more

Nothing but truisms

This book is a complete waste of time. There is nothing here but truisms. Basically, the book tells you that if you want to succeed, you should work hard and smart, and that you should get up and try again if at first you don't succeed. That's all. Really. I wish I could get my money back.

I received this book as a First Read. It's a slow read and a bit dry. A lot of the tips are common sense - set goals, don't be lazy, be persistent, get mentors, keep improving yourself, etc. Still, it's a good pep talk to avoid complacency and comfort and dream big so we can achieve big. ...more

I found the book helpful but sounds like the writer was one lucky soul to be placed in such good company. The words were insightful but I can only be half as lucky to know all the winners the writer knew

Got halfway through the book. Much of it seems like common sense and intuitive if you are a natural born leader and have experienced success and failures. Some of the book was repetitive as well. Overall wld recommend this book if you are looking for a quick, easy book.

Lots of good examples, lots of familiar advice. Explaining success as a cycle makes a lot of sense and aligns it with the business and self-improvement world.
