Interesting shifter idea. There are three parts to each shifter instead of two. Normally there is the human and the wolf, but this time there is human, wolf, and beast. The beast is half human and half wolf. The beast only comes out on the full moon. The wolf wherever the human wants to let it out.

The first part of this book was ssssoooo slow. It eventually picks up, but not enough to raise it to four stars. Brick and Kim have great chemistry together. There's no insta-lo

This was an interesting werewolf story. A man, wolf, and werewolf share one body. The man is the peacekeeper. The wolf can be out whenever the man allows it, but because the werewolf is more dangerous, it comes out once a month on a full moon.

Kim was a doctor from LA. Shes was use to nice cars, nice homes, and Starbucks. After a tragic event, her reputation was destroyed, and the only job she could get was in Fire Creek.

She tried to keep her head up high after her great downf

Taming Her Wolf was a truly wonderful story and I was so surprised in how much I got caught up in this story. It sets off when our heroine of the story, Kim Sharpe a doctor and has scandal all over her name, and has accepted the only job that would take her, a southern country clinic, In Fire Creek. Her clinic gets broken into, and she is forced to help a injured young man, a man that turns into something supernatural...a creature she never knew could exist. She is teamed up with "Brick" Preston ...more

If you’re looking for a sexy shifter PNR, you may want to give this one a try. It’s the story of a small town human doctor who finds herself conscripted into the service of a local werewolf pack. It’s a whole new world for Dr. Kim Sharpe, and things get even more complicated when she falls for sexy and troubled pack-member “Brick” Preston.

It’s one of those insta-lust at first sight things that I only find palatable in shifter stories, and even then, only sometimes. Kim is the new doctor in town

An even 4 stars for Taming Her Wolf. Kim and Brick sizzle together and that is what makes me happiest about this book. There's elements of really fleshing yourself out, finding what matters most, and realizing love. I have to say I do love me some paranormal romance because who doesn't want a hot wolf shifter to want you? The answer I'm looking for is not me. I love playing in the fantasy realm and blending it into the real world.

Kim's in Fire Creek as a last resort and with hopes of starting

I have been on a shifter kick lately so I was pretty excited to start reading TAMING HER WOLF. The cover looked interesting and the storyline sounded like something I would enjoy. Unfortunately I came across a few issues that made getting into the story hard and eventually made it fall flat for me.

I will start out with some things that helped me get to the end of the book. Kim and Brick had really great chemistry from the moment they meet and it only grows stronger as the book

TAMING HER WOLF is a pretty decent shifter paranormal romance with an interesting take on the werewolf mythology where werewolves have three aspects: human, wolf, and beast. These three aspects seem to be in a constant battle for balance and power. At times the beast can come close to being the dominate aspect which spells bad news for the shifter and those around him. I found the mythology pretty unique and liked how they built up the mystery of who wa

Hot paranormal Romance to the Max.... Hawoooooo...

A man, wolf, and werewolf share one body. The man has to fight to keep the head on the sholders and fight between all that lives in his body. But a man can only handle so much. Kim was a doctor and they need her medical help.

Kim happens to set off all the right bells for Brick....

Great start for a first book for a series. We love to read more. I dont know if it will be about this couple again or if the stories continues with a other couple... B

My Review:
This is the first in a new paranormal shifter series by Dee Carney. I felt like it was a great start. She has an interesting world with a really unique twist on the shifter world. Most shifter series talk about the human and the wolf (or other animal) that live within the same body. But Dee Carney took that a step further. In her shifter world, three separate beings inhabit the shifter body...the human, the wolf, and the beast.

The beast is the most feral of the three and is only let o

A Paranormal romance. It's a very different story not your typical werewolf story which got my attention as I like a little "shake up" from the normal werewolves story that is out there... A credit to Dee Carney!

Kim is a human doctor working in a small town, which is new to her as you will see when you read her story, I'm not for one to spoil things!

She meets Brick when he needs medical attention... little sh

5 stars for the new take’s creativity, freshness, and the slow burn pace.

I love the use of science and medicine in relation to the wolves. It’s a refreshing take on pack life, wolf dynamics, and the fact that the love interest isn’t the typical “mates”. It’s more of a natural romance, a choice. The man isn’t a typical hothead, so it’s enjoyable. Nice steam sprinkled in as well.

Only bad thing is the cliffhanger which I hope leads to another book?

It's a good premise but lacked depth. I abandoned it at page 98 because the story moved around in circles & the characters established early on that there was a mutual physical attraction and nothing else.

Taming Her Wolf is the first story in the new Fire Creek Shifters series. A fascinating new twist on the shifter is given to us by Ms Carney. These shifters not only have their dominant human plus their wolf – they have a third beast shift as well. The beast is the most primitive and the most dangerous as the beast is only allowed out one night of the month, on the night of the full moon. Every shifter in Fire Creek has a beast, and some are more under control

When love conquers terror

The book blurb lays out the basics for Taming Her Wolf. What it doesn’t lay out though is the pack’s struggle to deal with a serial killer that has targeted it’s adolescents. In fact, it is the latest victim that brings Dr. Kim Sharpe into the very secretive world of the pack. Having taken over the clinic for a recently deceased country doctor, Kim only wishes to retreat from all the social media and ridicule her life has become from a very public and career ending medic

3.5 stars - due to the pacing of the first half of the book.

Human, wolf, and beast? Taming Her Wolf by Dee Carney is the first book in her series the Fire Creek Shifters. Brick and Kim have instaneous chemistry. Also, the plot has quite a bit of action and suspense which makes for an easy and fast read.

Let's talk story concept/plot. I thought Carney had an interesting take on the werewolf legend. Usually werewolves are portayed as having two souls, the wolf and the human. The human is the voice

Kim used to live in L.A. She had the best she could buy and a cushy salary coming in as a doctor. Then something bad happened, she made a mistake and her whole life changed. She avoided prison and is now a doctor in a small clinic, in a small town. This is much different then she is used to and not what she ever wanted but she is thankful for a job.

One night, as she worked late, she heard a window break. It was some gentleman from the area with

This book was SO good. I could not put it down. It's right at 5:30 am and I just finished. I think people who are into suspenseful book would really enjoy it, even if they're not into paranormal. From the very first paragraph it had me hooked. I barely put it down long enough to eat. I've definitely found me a new gem of an author. The character were well written. I tried to I really did, especially as it reminded me of Michele Hauf's (Werewolf novel with witch and kid ... fill in here) because of how Brick being a "horror film" version of the werewolf is similar to to Ms. Hauf's version. I liked the idea for the story. The twist of there being 3 parts to the shifters was really cool. But the story had problems. The biggest one being the main female character Kim wasn't very likable at all. She is very selfish and valued her needs and wants above the over all good of everyone. Another thing about the story that brought the book down was the fact that the cool 3rd part to the shifters wasn't made very clear at first that it existed nor really given the strength of uniqueness to th ...more

This was a story of a disgraced physician, Kimberly, who moves to a small town

This was an erotic story, with many graphical sexual scenes. There was a story
line that was interesting. A Romance develops between the doctor and Brick.

Taming Her Wolf is interesting paranormal romance. I really like the beast idea, it is something unusual in shifter stories, and it´s definitely hard to come up with something new in this area/genre. You can tell, that there going to be other books in the serie because some ends remain open, but the main plot is closed – so good balance. And the best is the chemistry between Kim and Chris/Brick, you can almost fell it all the time. I recommend this novel to everybody who wants ro read steamy hot ...more
