BULLSHIT
Guy...
... walks up to DUFF girl...
... at bar. The strangers exchange names. He immediately says:
Chick is flabbergasted and all hhhhhhuhhhhua, physician's assistant... How ever did you know?!?
I've given more shots in the ass than MJ sunk balls in nets in the 90s, and I ain't ever had no damn calluses from a fucking plastic syringe.
Anyway...
He proceeds to tell her what exact kind of lotion she uses and what kind he prefers for himself.
We switch to his POV.
This is one lucky bitch to catch someone soooo f'ing out of her league.
I mean he'd almost stayed with a trio of women that he mentally berates as whores that suck or munch their bosses dick or clover. He'd almost dismissed the FMC cause she wore a top the concealed her curves.
According to him, shes lucky that she'd walked off from being the third wheel to her actual hot friends vs just getting wasted or becoming "some fratboy's slampig." So he graced her with his mfing creepy ass, laughable pickup.
When the dude starts...
• telling her how special the juice blend is in a mimosa.
• takes her off to a DANCE CLUB's VIP room to listen to some classical jazz shit.
• complaining his usual convos with women are about where he got his shirt and how expensive his watch is.
• starts telling us he got his man game from Batman.
... Uhm, I know this is NOT my brand of alpha male.
Apparently, he's hers, though, since she couldn't believe such a "vision of masculinity" would be asking her out.
Masculine my ass.
Moments later, we find out his last name is "Snow" and hers is "White."
Bottom Line
Didn't even make it through the sample before deciding to raise the white flag and move on along.

Good so far. Book one is really just introductory of both characters. Really liking both H/h.
Sophie is sweet and innocent who is going to school and working two jobs. Mark is some kind of hitman but maybe more. It's weird. I'll see how it turns out. On to book 2.

I absolutely loved this.
This is the first book I've read by this author and normally I try to avoid giving short books 5 stars because it doesn't seem fair but in this case I couldn't give less, I loved this.
Sophie is the hardworking student, she works two jobs, one is as a volunteer in the local ER to help with her future, the second at an Irish bar to earn the money to get her through university.
Her friend Tabby drags her out on one of her rare nights off to a club where she meets the dark and seductive Mark.
Mark is rich and exudes power and Sophie is instantly drawn to him and it appears the feeling is mutual.
I have to say going into this I expected it to be a nice easy 3 star read, all the books are on KU so I figured why not give them a try and wow was I surprised I loved everything about this book and I can't wait to start the next one.

I really tried with this on but I gave up at 40%.
Don't mind insta love if there is a decent flow of story and credible characters BUT nope. How do you go from meeting a guy in a bar /going home with him on first night/falling in love insta/finding out he has a bad side (haven't they all)/discovering his secret/going on the run from the baddies/to I want to have your baby - should I come off the pill duh!
thats it book closed.

This may work for you, but it unfortunately did not work for me.
Dual POVs...I think it would have been better to keep it in just the heroine's POV. I am not sure what guy thinks that a bra is specifically a Victoria Secret Very Sexy Bra. (loc 258)
The dialogue was awkward. The conversations felt immature...not natural. Some may find it fun, but I did not.

This series was a bargain combined into a box set, but when book 1 was an Amazon freebie I thought why not. Problem 1, it is short so I was forced to buy the whole set, ok so not a real problem.
Totally caught off guard, this was not what I expected. I presumed from the cover, it would be your typical alpha billionaire romance, but I could not have been more wrong.
Sophie White, is on the cusp of finishing uni to be a medical assistant, running 2 jobs, one as a bar server and an unpaid intern at the local hospital. She is run bare but when pushed to go out to a bar with best friends ahe neers mysterious Mark Snow. She doesn't know why, but something about him, makes her want to throw out everything her brain tells her and go for a wild ride....
Mark Snow, may be wealthy but his job is less than normal. As a "troubleshooter " I presumed someone in the tech industry. Whoa, wrong again. His job has rules - no falling in love and no girlfriends. Simple right? Well that was fine until Mark met Sophie in the club. She was not only sexy, gorgeous and curves to make his mouth water, but she held a conversation and wasn't interested in his money.
In no time, Mark and Sophie are very much together, but when his boss finds out there's going to be huge trouble!

The start of something good
While the subject matter of this book is a departure from Lauren Landish's usual genre, fans of her work should easily gravate towards it as its lead characters Mark and Sophie share the level of intense chemistry that her well developed characters always do. This story has romance and heat mixed with delicious intrigue, and it keeps you glued to the page until its final word. Now to see what revelations will be made about Mark and his mysterious work and about the evolution of his relationship with Sophie. I will absolutely be picking up book two of this series to see.

I wish I could wax poetic but by far the best series I've read..Wow...Wow..
I had to come back to the 1st book to leave a review I usually don't like reading these what I call little books where it broken up into 5 small books however, with this Author I had to let it be known that I so fully enjoyed Mark and Sophie beautifully written love story with one of the best plots I've read. The friendship with Tabby the love with flawed beautiful people.
I can't wait for Tabby's story. I will absolutely read anything by Lauren Landish matter of fact I'm going to find something now.....l

Mr Dark is the first book that I read by the author Lauren Landish. The moment I started reading this book, it was very hard to put it down and wasn't disappointed.
I love Mark and Sophie, the intense chemistry between Mark and Sophie is hot, steamy and sexy.
I can't wait to read the next book to find out what Mark's job as a freelancer actually entails and what will happen between Mark and Sophie relationship?

This is a delightful tale, and leaves me wanting more. We have a hard working college student working two jobs, struggling through life on her way to graduate as a doctor. She is going to become a PA. She meets a man who finds her very attractive. The chemistry and timing works, and they give it a try.....to have a life together. I can't wait for the next chapter!

She didn't see me at first. She stood on the second floor looking at the dance floor. I noticed her when she came in with her friends. She stood out amongst the rest. Didn't finish. I found myself skimming through and finally decided not to waste anymore time on it and deleted it off my device. Sometimes it was told in first person and other times it was in third - bad or lack of editing. Seemed rushed and the main character was such a baby, she developed a temper tantrum for such a stupid reason and that was it for me. Don't waste your time.

I just am going to love this series. It is different from the others from this author. Mark is a hot sexy mysterious person. Sophia is a smart sexy med student. Can't wait to see where their relationship goes. Does Mark let Sophie in. Does she find out what line of work he is in.

Eek. Love this book. Is so dark and ominous. But it has a romantically side to it. I wonder what's going to happen when she find out what he does for work. Interesting stuff here people. Everyone needs to read it.

Mr Dark is my first read for 2017. I enjoyed Mark and Sophie relationship, Reading there story you can't help rooting for them. With each chapter I got more involved with these two wanting to know what will happen next. 4 star read for me

Well!! I really enjoyed reading this one, the love between Sophie and Mark are instant and slowly, they were from different world, but they continually couldn’t resist the chemistries between each other.

"Aren't you forgetting something?" Sophie asked, her smile disappearing. She rested took her left hand off of the railing to cover mine. "You said the right woman. You have to find her first."

One night her two friends encourage her to go out on the town even though she has to work a shift at the hospital the next day. She goes and meets Mark, a mysterious man, who seems to have seen her too. They hit it off so well that the end of first part of this book has Mark hinting that he's found his future wife and the mother of his kids. The thing is Mark has a big secret that Sophie doesn't know and I wonder if in the next book the shit hits the fan.

Could not finish. I stopped at 33 percent. The plot got ridiculous for me. Tabby is a big problem. She gets abducted, and after Sophie and Mark rescue her, she remains in the city to spy on the criminal organization who abducted and threatened to murder her. Sophie and Mark get plastic surgery and hide in plain sight in the city. They use their first names on their fake passports. I know this is fiction, but this story is not very logical for me.

Yeah.... This is not a great read. If you want sex and some weird random laughs go for it. I just can't even begin to give you a full assessment because I couldn't finish it. There's not much to it other than, "You mine" "HEHE OKKKK!!!! YOU KILL PEOPLE!!!" "Yeah but only bad ones but I love you" yeahhhhhhhh no. Over this one and couldn't finish it. And I just don't not finish books.

I've had this on my kindle for a while now only started reading it cause I had a long train journey from London Euston- Carlisle. Although I liked it, it was really farfetched and so not realistic. I probably will never re-read it. But knowing me I will be reading the sequel.
